Logan Huntzberger was, arguably, Rory Gilmore’s most important romantic relationship. He was her longest-standing beau and her first relationship as a true adult. While Gilmore Girls fans have spent years arguing over which love interest was best suited to Rory, most fans agree that Logan was supposed to share characteristics with someone very important in Rory’s life. Viewers have yet to agree on which important character in Rory’s life he was the most like, though. There are three schools of thought on the topic.
Fan Theory #1: Logan Huntzberger was the most like Christopher Hayden
When Gilmore Girls fans first met Logan Huntzberger, he was a party boy who didn’t take anything particularly seriously. He was allergic to responsibility and avoided it at all costs. Logan hated his family and their expectations of him. Still, he was happy to use his family name and the prestige...

There are many good things to say about TV shows from the late 1990s and early 2000s. Some of the best sitcoms aired during the period, and they did several things well. We love the holiday episodes served up during the TV era. Several shows brought amazing classic Thanksgiving episodes to viewers, many of whom were looking for an escape before, during, and after the holidays. We’ve picked out four classic Thanksgiving episodes you should watch this year.
‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ always served up solid holiday episodes
Everybody Loves Raymond was a show that was made for holiday episodes. The holidays, especially Thanksgiving, really highlighted the dysfunctional family dynamics of the Barones. While the series had many great Thanksgiving offerings, we think “No Fat” is a classic.

Melissa McCarthy spent seven seasons playing Sookie St. James on Gilmore Girls. Much of her screentime was spent in the kitchen of the Independence Inn and then the Dragonfly Inn. Still, the famed actor remembers how much the weather impacted filming. In a recent interview, McCarthy revealed that the California weather was a massive problem while filming Gilmore Girls. It even once led to an actor passing out.
Melissa McCarthy recalls the weather making the filming of ‘Gilmore Girls’ uncomfortable
Melissa McCarthy recently sat down for an interview with Entertainment Weekly and was happy to chat a bit about Gilmore Girls. Since filming the show, McCarthy has moved on to other TV shows and movies, but the Bridesmaid star still remembers what it was like trying to film a show based in Connecticut in California.
McCarthy told the publication that the weather often made it uncomfortable on set. The cast...

For years, Gilmore Girls fans have debated every intricacy of the famed series. Entertainment experts outside the fandom have analyzed why the series, which was a moderate success in its day, has such staying power. For some viewers, the nostalgia factor keeps them coming back. For others, it’s the pop culture references; still, others love the fast-paced interpersonal relationships of the series. We think it’s a combination of everything. Showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino thinks the series was successful for many reasons but specifically pointed to Lauren Graham, the actor who played Lorelai Gilmore, as a part of the equation in a recent interview. The famed showrunner noted that Gilmore Girls and Lauren Graham gave her the confidence to shoot bigger. She called the veteran actor a “mad scientist.”
‘Gilmore Girls’ is partially to thank for ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’

When fans reconnected with Rory Gilmore in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, she was listless, anxious, and unsure of how to proceed with her personal and professional lives. She had so much promise, insisted fans, and showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino, destroyed all of that potential by making Rory entitled and a professional failure, to a degree. Some fans think Rory acted completely out of character in the revival. What if that wasn’t the case, though? What if Rory’s fall from grace was 100% realistic and predictable? There is evidence to support the theory.
There was evidence that Rory would falter in the original series
Rory was portrayed as the golden child in Gilmore Girls. She succeeded wildly at an academically rigorous prep school. Everyone in Stars Hollow loved her, and she was at ease around her grandparents’ high-society pals. Rory was everything Richard and Emily Gilmore had hoped Lorelai Gilmore would be.

Most of the mother-daughter drama on Gilmore Girls happened between Lorelai and Emily Gilmore. Still, Rory and Lorelai Gilmore had a few fights during the show’s seven-season run. A couple of those fights were really big ones, too. We’ve collected three of the famed duo’s dumbest arguments.
Lorelai accusing Rory of stretching out her sweaters was among the pettiest arguments the duo ever had
Showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino wanted to establish Rory and Lorelai Gilmore as friends more than mother and daughter early on in Gilmore Girls. One of the ways she did that was by injecting petty arguments into their daily interactions. In the third episode of the series, Rory and Lorelai argue over a sweater.

Lorelai, bothered by the fact that Rory appeared to be enjoying her time with Richard and Emily Gilmore, picks a fight over a sweater.

Jill Brennan-Lincoln is one of the rare Gilmore Girls actors who played more than one role on the show. Brennan played the teacher, Mrs. Traister, in the pilot. Later, she played Carrie Duncan. Brennan-Lincoln was surprised to be called back for a different role, but even more surprised by her wardrobe malfunction in her first Gilmore Girls audition.

Brennan-Lincoln was a guest on Scott Patterson’s I Am All In podcast on March 15 to discuss her dual roles on Gilmore Girls. Telling the story of her first audition, she revealed just how much she inadvertently revealed.

Rory Gilmore and Dean Forrester were not meant to be. Gilmore Girls fans largely agree that the high school sweethearts were not supposed to last forever. Still, the relationship was important in Rory Gilmore’s life. Let’s review everything that happened between Rory and Dean.
Dean and Rory started dating when they were 16
Dean Forrester might have been the new kid in Stars Hollow, but he didn’t waste any time finding a girlfriend. Dean and Rory met in the hallways of Stars Hollow High School moments before Rory transferred to Chilton. Despite not attending the same school, Dean pursued Rory, and the duo officially became a couple on Rory’s 16th birthday.

The romance lasted three months before Dean told Rory that he loved her. She did not say it back. They broke up, but...

Laundry Room Guy was a rather obscure Gilmore Girls character. He eventually got the name William, but it was meeting Rory (Alexis Bledel) at Yale in her dorm laundry room that made Peter Klausner stand out. People remembered Laundry Room Guy long after Gilmore Girls Season 4, including when Klausner was getting married.

Klausner was a guest on Scott Patterson’s I Am All In podcast on Dec. 21 to talk about his Gilmore Girls episodes. They discussed Wlliam’s debate against Rory in the international club. Klausner also shared two fan encounters during his wedding festivities.

Gilmore Girls was an hour long drama, but with such witty dialogue it was equal parts comedy. That is, it was comedy for the audience. The actors still had to play it as straight drama, because it was their lives. Even the best of us break from time to time. Third time was the charm for Gilmore Girls guest star Rusty Schwimmer, after two other auditions for the show. Once she filmed, Schwimmer said there was one co-star who could make her break on the show.

Schwimmer was a guest on Scott Patterson’s I Am All In podcast on Dec. 14 to discuss her episodes of Gilmore Girls. Schwimmer played Bruce, the midwife in two episodes when Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) had her baby. There was one person in the Gilmore Girls cast who made Schwimmer ruin takes by laughing.
