Following actor Johnny Wactor’s tragic death in May, the Los Angeles Police Department has released photos of three suspects in the case of his murder.
The images were released and show three individuals wearing hooded sweatshirts. The shooter has a tattoo above his left eye and on his right cheek, according to police.
No other information about the suspects or the shooting is known. The 37-year-old General Hospital actor was killed in downtown Los Angeles after stopping by a group of men who he thought were working on a car. One of the suspects allegedly pulled out a gun and showed Wactor before driving off in the stolen vehicle.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-ca) said Tuesday that she will not seek re-election in 2024, confirming speculation that she would forgo another run.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-ca) and Rep. Katie Porter (D-ca) had already entered the race, anticipating Feinstein’s decision to retire.
“I am announcing today I will not run for reelection in 2024 but intend to accomplish as much for California as I can through the end of next year when my term ends,” Feinstein said. “Even with a divided Congress, we can still pass bills that will improve lives.”
“Each of us was sent here to solve problems. That’s what I’ve done for the last 30 years, and that’s what I plan to do for the next two years. My thanks to the people of California for allowing me to serve them.”
Feinstein, 89, has served in the Senate since 1992, when she became the state’s first woman senator.

Rep. Karen Bass (D-ca) officially announced on Monday that she would be running for mayor of Los Angeles.
“With my whole heart, I’m ready. Let’s do this — together. I’m running for mayor,” Bass tweeted. She also introduced a campaign website.
According to a poll conducted last month, Bass would be one of the leading candidates in what could be a crowded field of contenders. She was among those that Vice President Joseph Biden considered as his running mate, before ultimately picking Vice President Kamala Harris. Bass has represented a west Los Angeles congressional district since 2011, including communities of Culver City, Rancho Park, Crenshaw and Baldwin Hills, and previously served as speaker in the California state assembly.

As the polls predicted, Gavin Newsom came out on top on Tuesday night in the California primaries, becoming the frontrunner to replace Gov. Jerry Brown. He will go up against either John Cox or Antonio R. Villaraigosa in the Novermber election. Both are currently vying for that second place spot.
Newsom, the former San Francisco mayor and current Lieutenant Governor of California, is known for having very close ties with Hollywood, last year during a UTA resistance rally he addressed the crowd alongside agency CEO Jeremy Zimmer, Jodie Foster, and Michael J. Fox. His wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, co-directed the documentary Miss Representation, under-representation of women in positions of power alongside Kimberlee Acquaro. Newsom’s ex-wife, Kimberly Guilfoyle co-hosts The Five on Fox News.

California legislators, led by State Sen. Kevin de Leon (D-Los Angeles), had one goal when they approved $330 million in annual tax incentives for film and television production: to compete with New York. "All the production companies and studios said we don't have to match other states, dollar for dollar, we just have to be competitive [with New York]," says attorney Gene Erbin, who lobbied on behalf of the DGA. But while dollars are up (from $100 million annually to a total of $1.65 billion for five years), the bill, which Gov. Jerry Brown is expected to

Before a California state Senate committee unanimously approved a bill to quadruple financial incentives to $400 million to retain and attract TV and movie productions, amendments were inserted aimed at insuring the money goes to save jobs that would otherwise be lost. The bill now also includes stiff penalties to punish applicants who overestimate the number of jobs being created and even to “claw back” money if it is later discovered there were discrepancies in claims made by recipients. A summary of the new amendments provided by the office of Sen. Kevin de Leon [D-Los Angeles], who becomes President pro

Update, 1:30 Pm: The state Senate Appropriations committee has just unanimously passed an expansion of California’s $100 million Film and TV Tax Credit Program to $400 million. The expansion will also or sure see the end of the current lottery system that determines who gets the incentives. “The amendments will replace the currently flawed and arbitrary lottery system with a more competitive and accountable system,” said incoming Senate President Pro Tem and Appropriations Committee chair Kevin de Leon today. “Applicants will be ranked according to the net new jobs created and overall positive economic impact for the entire state,” he added. Sources tell me that the final number as well as the eradication of the lottery was worked out in negotiations last night. Hoping to expend the program to 2022 and make pics with budgets over $75 million and network pilots eligible, the Film and Television Job Creation and Retention Act now goes...

Update, 3:45 Pm: Looks like one of the biggest stakeholders in the expansion of California’s $100 million Film and TV Tax Credit Program have forgiven Kevin De Leon for temporarily turning against the issue. Soon after the influential state Senator did an about face from yesterday’s lack of support for the widely supported and multi-sponsored Film and Television Job Creation and Retention Act and today said he was “100% committed” to seeing the legislation passed, the California Film and Television Production Alliance came out with a statement of their own saying they are “pleased that Senator De Leon has clearly […]...

Exclusive: With little more than three weeks left in the legislative session, Kevin De Leon is demanding big changes to efforts to expand California’s $100 million Film and TV Tax Credit Program. If the influential state Senate Appropriations Committee chairman doesn’t get his eleventh-hour way, I’ve learned that he intends to kneecap the multi-sponsored Film and Television Job Creation and Retention Act before it reaches the Legislature’s floor for a vote this month. “Following a long meeting this weekend, and numerous conversations over the past year, Senator De Leon has decided he will not support the extension of the current […]...
