There’s been a lot of good found-footage films coming out recently, such as Tahoe Joe 2 and Woods Witch. Now there’s The Glenarma Tapes, an Irish film that begins by telling us that seven people went missing in the woods around Glenarma one night in 2020. One was later found near death and in a coma. Two years later, the police found the footage we’re about to see…
The footage starts innocently enough, as we watch Gordy (Warren McCook; Hope Street) go through his day as a student at Mid Ulster College of Art. His friend Jimmy is making a day-in-the-life type film for his class project. He’s certainly an interesting subject, going from making insightful comments about Romeo and Juliet to...

"You don't know what you're dealing with." Dark Sky Films has debuted the official US trailer for an indie horror film titled The Glenarma Tapes, a found footage horror mystery. Obviously paying tribute to and following in the footsteps of The Blair Witch Project, this is also about a group of people who go into a forest and end up missing. In Spring 2020 when five students and two faculty from the Mid Ulster College of Art go missing in a forest on the north coast of Ireland. What happened on the day when they disappeared has remained a mystery - until now. The main cast includes Warren McCook, Sophie Hill, Ryan Early, and Emily Lamey. This first premiered at FrightFest London in the UK last year, and will be out on VOD in the US this spring. Some kind of crazy violent cult hiding out in this dark forest, it looks like?...

Violet is executive produced by Stuart Drennan, writer of The Dig, which won "best picture" at the Galway Film Festival 2018. Siobhan Kelly plays 'Violet' and Emily Lamey plays 'Tanya and both have a wealth of...
