New Delhi, Feb 3 (Ians) Former assistant coach Gerald Peyton will replace his former boss Stuart Baxter as head coach at Odisha Fc till the end of the 2020-21 Indian Super League (Isl) season, the club said in a statement on Wednesday.
Odisha had earlier announced the sacking of Baxter after the Brit used an offensive analogy of rape while talking about referees not giving his team penalties.
"I am going to go with a lot of hardwork that's been done already by myself and Stuart (Baxter). I am going to carry on and try and win as many games as possible with the young players, with the team that we have and the way we have been playing," said Peyton.
"My job is to make sure that we show fight, resolve and pride everytime we step onto that pitch. Hopefully, we can give the fans a lot of good things...

New Delhi, Feb 2 (Ians) Indian Super League (Isl) club Odisha Fc on Tuesday sacked their coach Stuart Baxter after he used an offensive analogy about rape while talking about referees not giving his team penalties.
"Odisha Fc has decided to terminate Head Coach, Stuart Baxter's contract with immediate effect. The interim coach for the remainder of the season will be announced soon," the club said in a statement issued on Tuesday.
Odisha had previously apologised shortly after Baxter made the comments in a post-match interview on Star Sports.
"You need decisions to go your way and they didn't," Baxter, 67, said after his team's 1-0 defeat to Jamshedpur Fc on Monday. "I don't know when we're going to get a penalty. I think one of my players would have to rape someone or get raped himself if he was going to get a penalty."
Shortly thereafter, the club tweeted an apology...

Bambolim (Goa), Dec 6 (Ians) Mumbai City Fc continued their impressive start to the Indian Super League (Isl) with a 2-0 victory over Odisha Fc at the Gmc Stadium on Sunday.
A penalty from Batholomew Ogbeche (30') and a header from Rowllin Borges (45') gave Sergio Lobera's men their third win in four games and their first-win ever over Odisha in the league. The win sent them top of the table, level on points with Atk Mohun Bagan, albeit with a better goal difference. For their opponents, this was their third loss in four games and only point-less Sc East Bengal lie below Stuart Baxter's side.

The La Screenings, the annual shopping trip for foreign TV buyers, is currently in full swing with hundreds of global broadcasters and Svod services moving between the Hollywood studios to hunt down the next breakout network hit and, hopefully, pick up an In ‘N’ Out Burger along the way.
Deadline looks at which of the 35 network shows, including The CW, are interesting the 1,500 international buyers in town and explores how the now-nearly-two-week event, which takes places on the back of the Upfronts in New York, has changed over the last few years.
Ever since the launch of Lost at the La Screenings in 2004, buyers have been clamoring for the next iteration of the high-concept smash.
In the same ballpark as J.J Abrams’ ABC island drama is Manifest, which one buyer called “Lost-meets-This Is Us”. The NBC series, which is distributed by Warner Bros International Television Distribution, follows people on a plane,...
