When Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely after a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers were relieved. Creator Jeff Rake had come up with the idea of the show 10 years ago before its premiere when on a family vacation. When pitching to networks, it was turned down. In 2014, when Flight MH370 disappeared, Jeff, in an interview, stated: "my crazy pie in the sky idea felt a little bit more real, relatable." Years later, Jeff took his idea out again, which generated a lot of interest and was eventually picked up by NBC. See more
The 737 in the flying scene was a 737-300 or later due to the hamster mouth opening on the engine intakes; however, the 737 0n the ground was an earlier 100 or 200 model due to the round air intakes. See more
