The rumors have begun about the next "Bachelor" and Reality Steve (a pretty reliable source for "Bachelor" franchise secrets and spoilers) says it's none other than winery owner Ben Flajnik, the man who finished second to J.P. Rosenbaum on Ashley Hebert's season of "The Bachelorette."
ABC tells Zap2it, "We aren't confirming or announcing anything at the moment. We will make the announcement on the finale of Bachelor Pad, airing Sept. 12."
Based on Reality Steve's track record in the past, we would have to say the possibility it's Ben is pretty strong. We think Ben could be a pretty fun Bachelor, though we are a little disappointed if it's not Ryan P. He would've been both sincere/romantic and also hilarious in his sincerity.
What do you think, "Bachelor" fans?...

To our continued disappointment, anxiety and horror, we don't yet know who will be the next Bachelor. And if you believe what the network's mouthpieces say, neither does ABC.
But we do know a couple things about the man who would be king of sex mountain based on historical trends and just plain common sense (both of which, funnily enough, one would need to ignore altogether in order to convince oneself that becoming the next Bachelor is a good idea):
- He will be a contestant from Ashley Hebert's season of The Bachelorette.
- He will have appeared in at least one of the final three episodes of that season.
- He will need to possess if not a majority, at least a fair sampling of the following traits: Handsomeness, business and/or financial success, positive attitude, charm, 6-pack abs, the ability to talk about his feelings ad nauseum and ad infinitum,...

Words are spreading that the next "Bachelor" would be Ben Flajnik whom Ashley Hebert rejected during "The Bachelorette" August 2 finale. The 28-year-old winemaker from Sonoma, CA is reportedly the frontrunner to star on "The Bachelor", competing for the post against Ashley's other rejected suitors, Ames Brown and Ryan Park.
"Everyone wants [Ben] to find the woman of his dreams," an insider told Us Weekly. A source said that Ben was actually really close to Ashley and "loved" her. Ashley herself thought that Ben would be perfect to take the place. "Ben would be really good - but so would Ryan and Ames," she said. "We'd watch any of those guys!" J.P. Rosenbaum, whom Ashley picked eventually, added.
Ben is heavily considered probably because he recently confirmed that he was not yet back in the dating world after "Bachelorette" finished filming. "Dear Rumor Mill, I am not dating anyone. Far too...

An insider says that Ben ‘is the favorite with the women trying out’ for ‘The Bachelor’! Has Ben already won the title of ‘Bachelor’?
Would ABC please just make up their minds about who is going to be the next Bachelor already? First it seemed that the network was priming Ryan Park for the role with all the air time they were giving him on Ashley Hebert‘s season of The Bachelorette. But now an insider reveals that producers are most likely going to pick Bachelorette runner-up Ben Flajnik, who was mislead by Ashley to believe that he was “the one” only to get dumped moments after he proposed!
Ben “is the favorite with the women trying out for the show, and the crew,” a source tells Us magazine. “Everyone wants him to find the woman of his dreams.”
Host Chris Harrison even thinks that Ben would be the best shot.

Ryan seems to be ABC’s favorite, but fans love Ames — and who can’t help but feel bad for Ben, who faced one of the hardest breakups ever on ‘The Bachelorette’! Who do you want to be ‘The Bachelor’?
Bachelorette Ashley Hebert may not have wanted these men, but it’s possible that Ryan Park, Ames Brown or Ben Flajnik may get their own chance to chase love as ABC’s next Bachelor. While Ben came in second on Ashley’s season, it seems that Ryan is being prepped for the role. But fans seem to love Ames the best!

Jake Pavelka has suggested that Ryan Park would be a good choice for the next Bachelor. Park appeared on Ashley Hebert's recently-wrapped season of The Bachelorette. He was eliminated in Taiwan but returned to ask for a second chance in Fiji, although Hebert rejected him. Pavelka, who fronted the 14th season of the ABC romance show, told reporters on a recent conference call that producers had a "couple of good choices" to front the next installment of the show. "The guys that seem to have really successful seasons on The Bachelor are the guys that are vulnerable and will talk about their feelings," he said. "They've just been raised in a way that they're comfortable with women and kind of opening themselves up a little bit which allows America to follow how the guy is feeling." Pavelka added: "I (more)...

Hold on to your hats Bachelor fans. The new season of Bachelor Pad starts tonight and it promises to be a doosey. An intriguing cast of characters including Michelle Money, Justin "Rated R" Rego and Erica Rose (yes, the tiara girl) pales in comparison to the news that both Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi will also be contestants. And the fact that they have not seen each other since that fateful Chris Harrison post break-up interview last summer, only gives it that much more train wreck potential. In a recent conference call interview, Jake talked about why he did the show, what he'd do with the money if he wins and who he thinks should be the next Bachelor.

J.P. tells Ashley: ‘In order for me to overcome that fear, I have to take a leap of faith and that’s exactly what this is. This is my leap of faith.’
Bachelorette Ashley Hebert is happily engaged to J.P. Rosenbaum. J.P. gets down on one knee and proposes during the Aug. 1 finale — and Ashley says, “Yes!” But this fairytale ending only comes after Ashley breaks Ben Flajnik‘s heart!
The drama kicks into action when J.P.gets to meet Ashley’s family first. Right off the bat, Ashley’s sister Chrystie drills him about if he’s smitten. “Completely, I have been for a while,” J.P. responds happily. But red flags quickly go up when Ashley doesn’t say that J.P. makes her laugh.
“I don’t think he’s for you,” Chrystie tells Ashley after only about 15 minutes of watching Ashley interact with J.

Before we get started, did you guys see "The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All" episode last night? I'm sooo sad that weasel Bentley didn't show his creepy, rat-like face, if only so the other bachelors could punch it in. But enough about him -- didn't it seem like the guys ganged up on Ryan P. all over again? I couldn't believe, after we watched yet again his little heart get smushed like a ladybug under Ashley's foot, that Blake would question his motives. Sorry, I rooted for Ryan P. But happy to see that Ames finds... well, if not love, something...

The Bachelorette's Ryan Park has said that he is unsure if he would want to be the next Bachelor. The solar energy executive was eliminated from The Bachelorette for a second time this week after Ashley Hebert rejected his plea to give their relationship a second chance. However, dental student Ashley later suggested that Ryan or fellow eliminee Ames Brown would be good choices to front the next season of The Bachelor. Ryan told reporters this week that he was on the fence about starring in the franchise if it was offered to him, pointing out that he has a full-time job and isn't looking for more exposure. "On the negative side, it's no secret your life becomes a circus," he said. "Your personal life becomes everybody's business and that's not particularly exciting for me. Whether you adore his optimism (like Ashley) or find his bubbly personality hard to swallow (like Ashley's other guys), I think we can all agree on one thing when it comes to Ryan Park: His [ill-advised/uber-romantic] return to ask for another shot with Ashley was the most entertaining part of this week's Bachelorette episode. As Carla [perfectly/hilariously] put it, Ryan's "blind ambition was the star" of hour(s).
And, after reading this media conference call with thhe man called "Mr. Sunshine," we can all (maybe?) agree on something else, even if Ryan himself sounds less than sure: This peppy, imperturbable solar power entrepreneur is setting himself up pretty solidly to be the next Bachelor.

Ashley intends to make both of her final suitors get down on bended knee to propose! Is that fair?
Ashley Hebert has had a rough season on The Bachelorette, but it’s finally coming to a close. Next Monday is her last final rose ceremony, and by the show’s end, she’ll either be engaged to Ben Flajnik or Jp Rosenbaum. However, she’s decided to put both men through the ringer, and lets them get down on bended knee to propose to her — fully well knowing she can only pick one to wed. Is this completely cruel?
The 24-year-old dental assistant has always prided herself on how she respects the guys and how she doesn’t want to hurt them with her choices. She’s even displayed this by dumping Ryan Park before a rose ceremony in order to save him embarrassment, knowing full well she would never want to be with him.

Before "The Bachelorette" star Ashley Hebert hands out her final rose to either Ben Flajnik or J.P. Rosenbaum next Monday, she talked with "Extra" about who she would choose as worthy "Bachelor" candidates.
Ashley would pick Ames Brown, the sweet portfolio manager from New York or "I think Ryan would be great," the "Bacherlorette" said.
"Extra" also caught up with Ryan Park, the solar energy executive from Fresno, Calif., and he seemed flattered Ashley chose him.

Ashley basically sets ‘The Bachelorette’ loser up for heartbreak. She knows she’s dumping him, but still lets him almost propose!
Bachelorette Ashley Hebert constantly talks about how she respects the guys and doesn’t want to hurt them. For that exact reasoning, she dumped Ryan Park before a rose ceremony to save him the embarrassment. But Ashley must not respect one of her final two contenders — Ben Flajnik or J.P. Rosenbaum — the same way, because she lets both men actually make it to the final rose ceremony instead of letting one go the day before like former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky did with Chris Lambton the previous season!
“Both guys get full-on down on one knee,” a show insider tells Us magazine. “Viewers will see something from one of the guys you’ve never really seen: anger. There is no friendship with Ashley after that.”

Ames shares in his exit interview that he thought taking it slow with Ashley would be a smart move to making their relationship last, so he was completely stunned to find out that’s why she said goodbye!
Ames Brown was completely shocked when Bachelorette Ashley Hebert said goodbye to him after the hometown dates episode on July 18. He thought that by taking it slowly, he was winning Ashley’s heart — and he knew that she had already captured his. But he was dead wrong because Ashley didn’t hand him a rose.

Will Ashley offer the fantasy suite key to Ben, J.P. and/or Constantine — and will they ‘choose to forgo’ (as host Chris Harrison always puts it) their individual rooms to spend the night with Ashley?
Bachelorette Ashley Hebert‘s down to three men — J.P. Rosenbaum, Ben Flajnik and Constantine Tzortzis — after the hometown dates during the July 18 episode. Damn it. For a moment, "The Bachelorette" actually got to me a little. It's the way these competitive reality shows go. At some point after so many weeks, everybody makes a connection with someone, until everybody really has somebody they can root on each week. Ryan Park's bottomless, plucky enthusiasm had him collecting roses like a klepto florist, making his fellow suitors a mite nervous and a more than a little irked that he just might run away with Ashley's hand in his, and just looking like the whole ball of wax might be his to lose. Then he lost it....Read more...

Four guys are playing The Bachelorette at once! What is she doing wrong?
Ashley Hebert isn’t having a lot of luck in love this season on The Bachelorette. In addition to getting totally and utterly played by master manipulator Bentley Williams, the 27-year-old dental student is also being housed by contestants Ames Brown, Constantine Tzortzis and Ryan Park. Is it Ashley’s fault that the guys are treating her so badly?
Bentley lied to her and told her he had to leave the show because of his daughter (when, in reality, he just thought the game was too easy and had no interest in Ashley at all), but it appears that Ames is also a huge liar. The 30-year-old has been carrying on a secret relationship with former Bachelor contestant Jackie Gordon. “Their relationship is accelerating very fast,” an insider tells Life & Style. “They’ve even talked about marriage!

Ashley Hebert was trying to mend her broken heart in the June 13 episode of "The Bachelorette" while she continued dating the remaining bachelors. After being left in tears following Bentley's departure, the 26-year-old beauty was impressed by Constantine and Ames when they had one-on-one dates in Phuket, Thailand.
Constantine was the first going on a date with Ashley. They were about to take a boat out to a private beach, but the rain scrapped the plan. The couple improvised by sightseeing, shopping and interacting with locals on the rainy day. Later in the evening, Ashley gave a rose to Constantine.
Ashley continued on with a group date which involved Ben F, Jp, Blake, Mickey, West, Ben C, Nick, Lucas, William and Ryan. They visited an orphanage for children, who lost their families in the 2004 tsunami, and made some improvements with the building.

Ashley became ‘The Bachelorette’ to find love — but Jeff confesses that the majority of guys just weren’t into her! That sucks!
Poor Ashley Hebert! She went on The Bachelorette hoping to find love, but also fearing that the 25 male contestants would wish that The Bachelorette had been someone besides herself like Emily Maynard. During the premiere episode, Ashley told host Chris Harison that she was worried the men wouldn’t find her attractive. Well it seems Bentley Williams wasn’t the only contestant who led Ashley on to think that he was on the show for her.

Bachelorette fans, I hope you all had access to Silkwood showers on Monday night. How else to scrub away the tawdriness, skeeziness, and international bad vibes that emanated from an incalculably wretched two-hour telecast?
Before we count down the episode’s five most horrible moments, I’ve got a couple questions to ask: First of all, if Bentley’s sole purpose for going on the Bachelor was to promote his business, why reveal his caddish intentions in his confessional interviews? (Unless, of course, his business is the College of Sociopathic Misogyny. Or scoring a spot on Bachelor Pad.) “I don’t care about Ashley,...

Ashley Hebert has sent home more men on "The Bachelorette" on Monday, June 6, but she also found herself being dumped by one contestant. As it has been revealed before, Bentley decided to quit the show in the third episode, leaving the bachelorette's heart broken.
Before the drama took place, Ashley enjoyed a one-on-one date with Ben C. They visited a dance studio where Ashley showed off her dancing skill. Later, Ashley asked Ben C. to dance in the middle of a mall. They were later treated by a performance by Far East Movement before they ended up sharing a kiss. Ben C also scored a rose from the date.
In a group date, Ames, Ben F., Blake, Chris, Jeff, Luas, Nick, Ryan, William and Bentley joined Ashley at the Comedy Store. The date turned out to be a roast hosted by Jeffrey Ross and the suitors started joking about Ashley one by one.

Omg. As if The Bachelorette's Ashley Hebert didn't have enough reasons to cry this season (and all of them start with "Bentley"), the producers went for the equivalent of shoving her face in the mud tonight by tasking her suitors with a Friar's Club-style roast on the group date. Things started off mildly enough, with the dashing Ryan P. falling flat with a joke about why Bentley was still there and most of the guys just ripping on each other. But then the seemingly kind of sheepish William, who's actually been on a solo date with Ashley, who tore right into her with, "So beautiful, so gorgeous, so used..." And it was all downhill from there. "Didn't know...

Emily had her hopes set high that ABC would ask her to be the next ‘Bachelorette’ until ‘Bachelor’ Brad fell in love with her!
Emily Maynard wanted to be ABC’s next Bachelorette (over Ashley Hebert) and never really planned on getting seriously involved with Bachelor Brad Womack to the point of planning a wedding, source tells In Touch magazine. She didn’t even think Brad would choose her, let alone propose.

Emily never really fell in love with Brad. “She wasn’t head over heels in love with him,” another insider says. “She never felt [that] kind of connection.”
