Apprentice star Melody Hossaini has been telling the Sunday Mirror about some of the horrors and terror that she’s had to face in her life, beginning with her childhood in the then war torn Tehran.
However, the paper adds, “But nothing could prepare Melody Hossaini for the boardroom grilling at the hands of ruthless business boss Lord Sugar.”
On Wednesday night, more than nine million viewers watched as Melody was reduced to tears and booted off The Apprentice, but it was an uncharacteristic show of emotion from Melody who has had to deal with terrifying situations all of her life.
Melody told the paper, “I’ve cheated death so many times that sometimes I think I’ve got nine lives.
“I was born during the Iran-Iraq war when bombs were blowing up neighbours’ houses.
“I was bound and gagged in my own home by three burglars who threatened to shoot my mum.

Fired Apprentice candidate Melody Hossaini has confessed that she’s learned a lesson about “listening more” after viewers watched her talk her way out of a job with Lord Sugar last night.
What’s On TV add, “The business consultant’s over-lengthy chatter proved a turn-off in the boardroom, leading to her being axed during Wednesday night’s edition of the BBC1 show.”
As fans of the show will know, Melody had volunteered to project-manage her team during this week’s “reinvestment” task, but she failed to show enough confidence in the role.
Melody tried hard to defend how she’d gone about the task to Lord Sugar in the boardroom, which prompted advisor Karren Brady to tell her, “If you went into business with Melody, your board meeting would be a very long affair.”
After being fired, Melody said, “Lord Sugar and I won’t be going into business right now…...

Melody Hossaini became the latest contestant to be axed from The Apprentice tonight, after overseeing a disastrous effort in an investment and sales task. Lord Alan Sugar fumed at both teams' efforts and refused to give the winning team - Natasha Scribbins's Team Venture - their planned treat, despite their triumph. Hossaini, Tom Pellereau and Helen Milligan's disappointing profit of only £728 meant that they had to return for a boardroom showdown. Karren Brady helped Sugar come to his final verdict over who should be fired, arguing that Hossaini's talkative manner would be a nightmare in board meetings. Sugar agreed with Brady, revealing that he had difficulty understanding what business he could ever go into with the 27-year-old. Pellereau escaped the chop for another week, but continued to frustrate the multi-millionaire (more)...

Zoe Beresford has become the latest contestant to be fired from The Apprentice after Team Logic failed to win any orders for their Bix Mix brand in tonight's biscuit task. Lord Alan Sugar had challenged both teams to come up with "something distinct" in the biscuit market and produce "the packaging, the presentation, the whole lot" before pitching the product to three major supermarkets. In contrast to Logic's failure, an ambitious pitch from Jim Eastwood helped secure an exclusive 800,000 unit order from Asda for Team Venture's Special Stars, preserving project manager Helen Milligan's unbeaten record. Beresford brought Tom Pellereau and Melody Hossaini back into the boardroom, blaming her team's failure to attract orders on the poor quality of the biscuit they had engineered. Sugar noted that there were "too (more)...

Susan Ma shares her feelings about her Logic teammate Zoe Beresford on tonight's biscuit-making episode of The Apprentice. The problems begin when the pair clash over who should lead the group. Beresford wins that battle by getting the nod in a team vote but Ma quickly explains her problems with the Pm. "When it comes to making biscuits, I think we'll roughly be on the same level," Ma says. "But on a personal level, she's one of the bitchiest and most backstabbing people I've ever met." Beresford has her own issues though and falls out with Melody Hossaini over the concept for their brand. "Melody is a nightmare to work with," Beresford claims. "She's (more)...

Leon Doyle became the latest candidate to be fired from 'The Apprentice' last night (22.06.11). The 26-year-old fast food marketing entrepreneur - who failed to impress in a task which required the budding business brains to sell unique British products to French retailers - was given the boot by Lord Alan Sugar for his lack of involvement in the challenge. However, Leon concedes that he should have "pulled his weight" more, rather than letting Melody Hossaini take charge. He exclusively told Bang Showbiz: "Well, Lord Sugar is the best in the business and if he thinks I'm not up to it then I'm...
