Sarah Silverman will unpack the emotional and political baggage of the Trump era in her new weekly series with Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Funny or Die production company. Hulu recently picked up the topical show, tentatively titled I Love You, America, with a 10-episode order.
In a statement announcing the project, Hulu stated that Silverman is "looking to connect with people who may not agree with her personal opinions through honesty, humor, genuine interest in others and not taking herself too seriously." The network added, "While it's great to connect with like-minded people,...

Its subsequent audio album would be Grammy nominated two years later. Silverman’s upcoming Netflix stand-up comedy special will be directed by Liam Lynch. A lot happens before the clever opening credits roll on “Deidra & Laney Rob a Train.” Top student Deidra (Ashleigh Murray, soon to be featured in CW’s “Riverdale”) has held firm on the price of the homework she sells to some chump over the phone, wrestled her sister Laney (Rachel Crow), to the ground, and observed her mother Marigold (Danielle Nicolet), tottering under a flatscreen TV outside the “Good Buy” where she works, which she promptly throws to the ground in a fit of rage. Syncing with Liam Lynch’s “United States of Whatever,” each word in the movie’s title get its own freeze-frame visual clue — the last being a toy train.

Words alone cannot fully convey the joy writing that headline has brought me. I wish I could squeeze an uncircumcised penis reference into every story. If only for the sheer absurdity of it all. Now, where were we... oh yeah! Attack of the Devil!
Written, directed, and produced by filmmaker Lon Strickland (creator of the International Shit Movie Film Festival), Attack of the Devil bills itself as "quite possibly the greatest piece of web content ever created."
What is it, you ask? Why it's just the greatest giant monster / comedy / musical / horror / sci-fi / socio-religious satire the world has ever known, and you can watch it below Right Now!
Synopsis
Upon discovering a gigantic uncircumcised penis in the deserts of Iraq, Father Joseph inadvertently awakens a sixty-story high Satan from his ancient slumber. Come to find out the giant penis is for Robo-Jesus, the enormous ancient alien the Vatican is in the process of reconstructing.

Sarah Silverman's always been a deeply confrontational talent, her comedic persona one of aggression and self-involvement underneath cheerful twinkling. She's a pretty lady who affects an exaggerated demeanor of sweetness, only to let loose with a jaw-dropping line about sex or race or religion. Her approach could be looked at as the opposite of making oneself likable -- on stage, she invites empathy, only to then turn it around to something hilariously awful. "I dated a guy who was half-black, but he dumped me because I'm such a loser," she said in her 2005 film "Jesus Is Magic," directed by Liam Lynch. "Wow, I shouldn't say things like that, I'm such a pessimist... he's actually half-white." Silverman is far from the only stand-up known for edgy material, and she's certainly not the only female comedian to do so either, but she's the master of combining it with a sugary edge...

Title: Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer Directors: Mike Lerner and Maxim Pozdorovkin They bear the puckish name of an American liberal arts college group, and their air-quote music — blasts of awkwardly rhymed social complaint that makes Liam Lynch’s “United States of Whatever” sound like a delicate Shakespearean sonnet — is quite honestly dismissible at best, so it’s something of an unlikely surprise that Pussy Riot has achieved the notoriety they have. Formed in 2011 after Vladimir Putin was nominated for a third term as Russian president, this controversial, anonymous feminist art collective took issue with what they deem the excessive nationalism Putin promotes, and well as the various rollbacks [ Read More ]

Sarah Silverman hasn't had a regular perch on the air since "The Sarah Silverman Program" ended in 2010, but she's turned up on "The League" and "Louie" as well as voicing characters on "The Simpsons" and "Bob's Burgers," and she's one of the collective of comedians making freeform videos on the new YouTube channel Jash. And today, HBO announced that the edgy comedienne will be headlining her first comedy special for the premium network, "Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles." The special will be taped in Los Angeles in May, is presented in association with Funny or Die and will debut on HBO this fall. "We Are Miracles" is being directed and edited by Liam Lynch, who's also a consulting producer -- Lynch directed Silverman's 2005 concert film "Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic." "Sarah Silverman is a fresh, fearless and utterly original comedy voice," said HBO's Michael Lombardo in the announcement. "I'm...

Sock puppets Sifl and Olly entertained kids with a superficially innocuous aesthetic that belied a profane, sexually suggestive, and comically awesome tone for two seasons before the outbreak of Y2K on an MTV that preferred original programming to original reality programming. The variety show created by artistically gifted childhood friends Liam Lynch and Matt Crocco released a third unaired season by way of DVD after MTV cancelled their series in 1999. Thereafter, the candid conversational relationship and music-video related antics of Sifl and Olly had been relegated to sporadic appearances on Lynch’s personal podcast, Lynchland. That is, until now. The Sifl and Olly Show is making a comeback with a new season of new episodes related to a new theme on a new network. Sifl and Olly Video Game Reviews features real reviews of fake games and is distributed by Machinima, the largest YouTube network on the internet with...
