Rooster Teeth is strutting its way into the fashion industry, one pop-up store at a time. In early August, the digital entertainment company hosted its second-ever live retail experience dubbed The Coop, a venture which pulled in more than 10,000 shoppers over the course of just four days.
The Coop appeared alongside Rooster Teeth’s 8th annual Rtx convention in downtown Austin, right across from the city’s convention center in a space called the Sunset Room. Originally, the company’s first pop-up store launched in Los Angeles in June 2018 and featured co-founder Geoff Ramsey’s original merchandise designs. Now, Ramsey is one of the leading voices for his company’s expansion into pop-up stores and merchandise aimed at a demographic with a more mature, refined taste in fashion.

As the VidCon madness subsides, Rtx Austin is fast approaching -- and the Rooster Teeth-run convention has unveiled this year's headliners.
This year’s event will be headlined by YouTube gaming vet Boogie2988; the Smosh Games crew; cosplay artist and Rwby voice actress Jessica Nigri; Drawfee, who will host an interactive comedy drawing series; voice actor Troy Baker; and pro Overwatch team the Houston Outlaws. In addition to the above guests, Rooster Teeth will also host its third annual Animation Festival during Rtx, with screenings and panels featuring Titmouse, Mondo Media, Studio Yotta, Mashed, and Machinima.
And after launching its first-ever pop-up shop in Los Angeles earlier this month, Rooster Teeth is bringing a new activation called ‘Coop’ to Rtx -- an excluisve storefront where guests can shop merch designed by Griffon Ramsey, Todd Francis, Issac Hastings, Weedboner, Rj Palmer, and noted Rooster Teeth brands like Achievement Hunter, Funhaus, and...

Last time we checked in on chainsaw artist Griffon Ramsey, she was hard at work crafting this awesome table inspired by H.R. Giger’s work in Alien. Today, the artist has set her sights on something a little less gruesome, but perfectly suited for her medium of choice: an elaborate carving of Guardians of the Galaxy's very own Groot. Ramsey walks us through her process in this six-and-a-half minute video, which shows us not only how she crafted the lifelike statue of one of this summer’s most popular movie characters, but also how she became to a chainsaw sculptor in the first place. Hint: it wasn’t something suggested by her high school guidance counselor. As someone who can’t draw or sculpt, I always find videos like this one fascinating. I...

Chainsaw artist Griffon Ramsey sculpted the character Groot from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy out of a piece of wood. The result is stunning! I love seeing all the different talents that people have to offer the world, and it's so cool that someone thought chainsaw sculpting would be a great way to express themselves. I especially like it when they use those talents to create geeky art like this. We have a video showing the artist creating Groot from a block of wood, and this is what she says about it:
"Watch me sculpt Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy using chainsaws and get to know a little more about my background in this video. It was such a fun piece to make, in spite of the challenges that arose during the process."

When H.R. Giger first put pen to paper and drew the seeds of what we'd see in Alien, there is no way he could have possibly conceived just how long his images would endure and how they'd be passed down from generation to generation. Even though we've had seven feature films (if you count the sequels, crossovers and prequel) so far that utilize his creations, none of those have tried to deviate from what he first cooked up several decades ago. That's impressive. And of course, fans have been paying tribute to Giger's designs for decades, too, and the latest one to catch our eye is this Alien egg table with a "facehugger" nestled inside. It was all carved out of a single tree trunk by the very talented, chainsaw-wielding artist Griffon Ramsey. Check...
