Two weeks ago, 30 Rock star Tracy Morgan became the subject of controversy when he made anti-gay comments during a comedy show in Tennessee. The comments spurred audience member Kevin Rogers to write a furious letter on Facebook against the 42-year old TV actor.
Since the incident, Morgan has apologized on numerous occasions and has also become outspoken in his support of GLAAD (The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation).
This week, Morgan returned to Nashville and spoke with audience members who were at the show. Later, he held a press conference with GLAAD and Rogers to issue another apology.
“He [Morgan] shared his genuine concerns with his words and has promised to me that his actions going forward are going to be positive and supportive of my community,” stated Rogers. “I greatly appreciated what he said.”

For some reason, Tracy Morgan is still apologizing for the homophobic jokes he made in Nashville earlier this month, despite already apologizing a few days after the incident and meeting with homeless lesbian and gay youth in NYC. This time GLAAD, the gay advocacy group, dragged Morgan back to Nashville to make an official apology in front of the press. At the panel, he was joined by Kevin Rogers, the gay man who was first to report about the comedian's jokes on his Facebook page. "I want to apologize to Kevin and people that were at the show for bummin' em out," said Morgan. "I want to apologize to my friends and my family and my fans and everyone in every community that were offended with this. I didn't know. I didn't mean it." At the end of the event, Morgan and Rogers embraced. Watch the video below to see the entire thing.

Funnyman Tracy Morgan has met with gay and transgender youths in Nashville, Tennessee 18 days after he upset fans there with homophobic remarks during a stand-up comedy show.
The 30 Rock star was reprimanded by gay rights groups for suggesting he'd "stab" his son if he found out he was gay during his routine on 3 June and has since apologised for the ill-judged remark.
He also agreed to meet with homeless gay teens in New York on Friday in an effort to show gay rights groups he truly was sorry.
The meeting at the Ali Forney Center was arranged by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
And, on Tuesday, Morgan was back in Nashville to apologise directly to the fans he offended with his homophobic remarks.
Local GLAAD bosses set up the meeting with fans and gay and transgender residents at the Nashville Convention Center.
Morgan also addressed members of the media and spoke out in support of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality.
The comedian also met Elke Kennedy, the founder of Sean’s Last Wish. Her 20-year-old son, Sean, was murdered in an anti-gay hate crime in 2007.
He said, "I apologise to the people that were at the show. I want to apologise to my friends, and my family and my fans and everyone in every community who were offended with this. I didn't know. I didn't mean it... I don’t have a hateful bone in my body. I don’t believe that anyone should be bullied or just made to feel bad about who they are.
"I totally feel that, in my heart, I don’t care who you love, same-sex or not, as long as you have the ability to love. I don’t really see gay or straight, I just see human beings now... From the bottom of my heart, I apologise to everybody... To err is human, to forgive is divine... Thank you everybody for forgiving me."
GLAAD spokesman Herdon Graddick says, "Tracy’s remarks today have the power to reach millions with a message that gay and transgender youth should be met with support from families - not rejection or violence."
And Kevin Rogers, the Morgan fan who first reported the comic's remarks via Facebook.com, adds, "Tracy was sincere and spoke from his heart today... The best thing that has come from this is a national conversation that anti-gay violence is unacceptable and that homophobia is outdated."...

Tracy Morgan indulged an ugly side of his psyche when he went on an anti-gay riff in Nashville a couple weeks ago. As relayed in a Facebook post by gay audience member Kevin Rogers that quickly went viral, the routine started with insinuations that all gays are gay by choice (because .God don.t make no mistakes.) and went on to make light of the anti-gay bullying that.s dominated headlines this year. Morgan didn.t stop there, though.he entered seriously dark, demented territory, saying, according to Rogers, that if his son was gay "he better come home and talk to me like a man" and... More >>...

Man, if only Tracy Morgan hadn’t made those anti-gay jokes, we could just be loving him unreservedly like we were before. Following Tracy Morgan’s rant two weeks ago, the 30 Rock star is at least returning to Nashville to apologize for his homophobic riffing. Seeing as how the comedian apologized a few days after the incident, Tracy Morgan’s GLAAD press conference, which also included audience member Kevin Rogers, was yet another opportunity to confirm: yup, it was still a truly horrible bit. “I want to apologize to my friends, my family and my fans,” Morgan said. “I didn’t know. I didn’t mean it and that’s how I feel about it. I don’t have a hateful bone in my body. I don’t believe that anyone that should be bullied or, just, made to feel bad about who they are. Nashville, Tenn. -- Comedian Tracy Morgan was in Nashville, Tenn., Tuesday to issue an apology to the lesbian and gay community after an anti-gay rant during his June 3 show there drew fire.
Morgan was scheduled to address reporters Tuesday morning at the Nashville Convention Center after meeting with members of the audience who were offended by his comedy routine and representatives from gay advocacy groups.
The "30 Rock" actor already has issued a public apology. He met with homeless lesbian and gay youth and advocates Friday in New York City as well. Morgan agreed to the Nashville meeting at the request of Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation President Jarrett Barrios.
Morgan was not expected to take questions during the news conference.
The former "Saturday Night Live" cast member is known for an outrageous, unpredictable comedy style where few subjects are taboo. He's tackled homosexual themes and characters before with little outcry.
