Mexico, Jan 15 (Ians) Avalanche Andretti Formula E team driver Jake Dennis produced a dominant drive to win the 2023 Hankook Mexico City E-Prix and the first race for the world’s fastest, lightest, electric race car, the GEN3.
Dennis climbed from second on the starting grid to win the race ahead of Tag Heuer Porsche Formula E Team driver Pascal Wehrlein who started from sixth to finish second and Mahindra Racing’s Lucas di Grassi who slipped from Julius Baer Pole Position to finish third.
After the race, Dennis soaked in the adulation of the Foro Sol and the capacity crowd of more than 40,000 passionate fans who witnessed the historic debut of the GEN3, a race car performing at the very limit of innovation and pushing the boundaries of Ev technology.
The Andretti driver made what would be the race-winning move on Lap 12, with the Brit taking advantage of an opening left by di Grassi.

Mumbai/Banbury, Nov 30 (Ians) Mahindra Racing on Wednesday announced the signing of Jehan Daruvala as the team’s Reserve Driver for Season 9 of the Abb Fia Formula E World Championship.
The 24-year-old racer is the first and only Indian F2 race winner, and recently completed three F1 tests with McLaren.
In his role at Mahindra Racing, Jehan will spend time at the team’s Banbury HQ, working on the simulator alongside engineers, providing car development and race support for drivers Lucas Di Grassi and Oliver Rowland. There are plans for him to attend some races, including the team’s inaugural home ePrix in Hyderabad, India scheduled for February 2023.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s latest environmentally conscientious documentary And We Go Green, is heading to Hulu. RadicalMedia announced today that the doc, which focuses on the rise of Formula E electric car racing and its positive impact in combating global warming and air pollution, will be available in the U.S. via the streamer on June 4.

Hulu has acquired the U.S. streaming rights to “And We Go Green” a documentary produced by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way about the rise of Formula E electric car racing and how it is making an impact against global warming and air pollution.

Brazilian racecar driver Lucas di Grassi has announced his support for Un Environment’s work to reduce air pollution – the single biggest environmental health risk of our time.
“For me, it’s a lifetime achievement to be a part of the Un Environment Programme,” said di Grassi in Paris last week ahead of the 2018 Qatar Airways Paris E-Prix.
Among his many racing achievements, di Grassi is the reigning champion of Formula E – the auto racing series that uses only electric-powered cars. Helping to advance and promote zero-emissions mobility, Formula E acts as a testing ground for some of the world’s largest car manufacturers as they develop the electric cars of tomorrow.
