This article contains spoilers for Morbius and the first three episodes of House of the Dragon.
What the hell is he doing? That was certainly my first thought while witnessing Matt Smith strut his stuff and show off a new beach bod in Morbius. I wasn’t alone. In the months since that dubious attempt at a superhero-vampire hybrid bled out on the multiplex floor, the scene has become a legend among the terminally online.
Even before Morbius’ streaming release (and subsequent premiere on Netflix), watching Smith’s evil Milo the Vampire boogieing to “Ekse” was transformed into an instant meme. On Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and all other social media avenues where nerds gather to enjoy content “ironically,” there was bootleg iPhone footage of this dance scene. Along with the catchphrase “It’s Morbin’ Time!”—which, believe it or not, does not appear in the movie—Smith’s two-step became...

The 7th annual Montreal Comiccon, was held at the Palais des Congrès this past weekend and for the first time in seven years, I was able to attend the event. Past Cons were held in early September, conflicting with my coverage of the Toronto International Film Festival, but this year, the organizers decided to change the date allowing me to geek out to a variety of attractions catering to fans of comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, games, television and film. I’m pleased to announce that I was pleasantly surprised with the event as a whole. Montreal’s geek extravaganza is extremely laid back. There was little time spent waiting in line and everyone seems to be having a good time. I counted over two dozen booths filled with comic book artists ready to draw up an original piece on the spot, sign an autograph...

Yesterday, it was once again time to say good-bye to another Doctor as Matt Smith’s Eleven, after three seasons and four years at the helm of the Tardis console, regenerated into Peter Capaldi’s Twelve. Let’s take a look back at the Mad Man With a Box, and some of the moments, lines, attitudes, and situations that really made Smith shine and stand apart from those who came before. And if you know your Matt Smith era of Doctor Who, then you’ll know that the only reasonable place to start such talk is with fish custard.1. Eleven made quite the splash in his first episode, “The Eleventh Hour,” by climbing out of the Tardis swimming pool and into young Amelia Pond’s (Caitlin Blackwood) life, demanding an apple. The apple didn’t taste right, and neither did the yogurt he requested afterward. His reactions to bacon and beans were even less positive,...

Last Saturday was a busy day if you were a Doctor Who fan in New York City. The first episode of the new series, Asylum of the Daleks, had its Us premiere at the Ziegfeld Theater, the largest single-screen theater in the city they could lay their hands on. After a minor frenzy to obtain tickets, fans were treated to an hour-long thrill ride as The Doctor and his friends Amy and Rory fought against more Daleks than you could shake an eye-stalk at. But the activity began earlier in the day, as the folks at BBC America made stars Matt Smith and Karen Gillan, as well as co-producer Caroline Skinner available for interviews to the appreciative hordes of the working press.
Matt Smith (The Doctor) is currently shooting the Christmas special (“Which you have to shoot in August, because what could be more silly” explained Caro Skinner) and arranged...

"Let’s Kill Hitler" makes my brain hurt.
Mind you, it’s a good hurt, but much of the discussion on this episode will have to fall under our spoilers section due to the massive amount of plot that occurs in this episode. Yet, there’s still plenty of non-spoiler stuff to talk about for those that have yet to watch it [...]...

Episode 6.8 - Let’s Kill Hitler
Spoiler Warning: Please make sure you have watched the entirety of Series Five and Series Six up until “A Good Man Goes To War” (6.7). Key episodes for this episode of Doctor Who include “The Impossible Astronaut” (6.1), “Day of the Moon” (6.2), “The Almost People” (6.6) and “A Good Man Goes To War” (6.7).
The last time we heard from our favourite Gallifreyan and his time-traveling companions, Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) had given birth to a baby girl named Melody. She and her baby had been held against their will by the Clerics, an organization led by Madame Kovarian intent on using Melody as a weapon. You see, because Melody was conceived on the Tardis and exposed to time-travel whilst in the womb, she’s part-Time Lord and part-human. No, this doesn’t make any sense to me either; I thought Doctor-Donna proved that combinations of Time Lords...

Karen Gillan has dropped dark hints about momentous events ahead in the new series of Doctor Who.
Karen, who plays Doctor's companion Amy Pond, was speaking on the set of the third episode, the pirate-themed The Curse Of The Black Spot.
Gillan admits this episode has been her favourite so far because of her 'piratey' costume and the fact she gets to do some sword fighting.
"Everyone was really nervous when I got a sword in my hand, and quite rightly so," she grins. "But actually, I was rather co-ordinated, which surprises you all, I bet.
"I really, really got into it, and I would like to take up sword-fighting as a hobby."
Gillan is clearly fond of the character and is keen to show she's more than just an action hero.
"With the last series, I wanted to keep her guarded. She doesn't like to show her emotions because she wants to be strong.

"Doctor Who" star Matt Smith didn't really think that the long-running sci fi show would be so popular across the pond. Obviously he didn't know us Yanks very well ... yet.
The 27-year-old Brit was dashing from coast to coast to promote the show's new season when he took the time to share his thoughts about the U.S. fans and the non-science fiction elements of the show.
"I was just in New York. Me and Karen [Gillan] and Steve [Moffat], we were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm," Smith told Zap2it. "I thought there was not a 'Doctor Who' community in the U.S., but it's got legs here. It's truly been an exceptional response that not any of us can fathom."
Smith, who was a relative unknown when he nabbed the part of the 11th Doctor, confessed that he worried fans might find his version of the popular Time Lord "rubbish.

Karen Gillan begged 'Doctor Who' bosses to cast her cousin in the show - even though they had never met. The Scottish actress - who portrays the Time Lord's new assistant Amy Pond in the upcoming series of the sci-fi show - met her young relative, 10-year-old Caitlin Blackwood, for the first time on the set of the BBC One show after urging producers to let her play a younger version of her character. Caitlin's mother Linda told the Daily Record newspaper: ''Caitlin was born and grew up in Northern Ireland and Karen grew up in Scotland. So they actually only met for ..
