One of the founding members of ’90s band Lfo, Brian “Brizz” Gillis, has passed away at age 47.
Gillis’ former bandmate Brad Fischetti took to social media to share an emotional post confirming the news on Thursday.
Gillis was a co-founder and member of the group from 1995 to 1999. He was then replaced by Devon Lima.
Lima and co-founding member Rich Cronin have also passed away; Lima in 2018 after battling adrenal cancer, and Cronin in 2010 after a long battle with leukemia.
Fischetti wrote: “Every story is made up of chapters. Some develop naturally. Some you have to cut up in your mind. The first two chapters of the Lfo story lost a main character yesterday. Brian ‘Brizz’ Gillis passed away.”

Snoop Dogg gave a moment to his popular Just Eat advert during his recent performance in London.
On Tuesday (21 March), the rapper performed a headline concert at the O2 Arena, featuring a wide selection of his hits throughout the years.
As well as being delighted by tracks such as “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Who Am I (What’s My Name)”, some audience members were surprised by the inclusion of a particular song from his discography: his jingle for the food delivery app, Just Eat.
Snoop, real name Calvin Broadus Jr, provided the music for the British company’s advertising materials from 2020 to 2022.
Despite the unlikely combination of a rap icon and a delivery service seeming bizarre at the start, the advert quickly became popular.
During the star’s show on Tuesday, the ad appeared on screen and played in full, in a nod to its popularity with British audiences.

After recently rejoining Alice Cooper’s band, guitarist Nita Strauss has unveiled a new single, “Winner Takes All,” featuring the legendary shock rocker himself.
The track features Strauss’ virtuoso guitar playing alongside Cooper’s trademark vocals, with an anthemic chorus. It follows Strauss previous singles “The Wolf You Feed” (featuring Arch Enemy’s Alissa White-Gluz) and “Dead Inside” (featuring Disturbed’s David Draiman). All three songs are expected to be included on her as-yet-untitled upcoming album.

There have been bands who, over the years, changed their sound to either better improve on their lyrical style or just to try out something different. Changing labels or applying a new instrument also encourages bands to mix it up. But there are bands that put their skills to the test and change after every record release, making for a mix blend of lyrical experimentation and riff-swinging madness. Saliva, first situated in 1996 and still up and running in 2013, happens to be one of those bands that consistently and ideally change their sound to aim for higher levels of ingenuity.
The band’s current line-up consists of: Bobby Amaru (vocals and rhythm guitar), Wayne Swinny (lead guitarist), Dave Novotny (bass), and Paul Crosby (drums and percussion).
