In case you want to sing along here are the lyrics!
Maine haara main
[I've Lost My Whole Being]
Tera saara main
[My Whole Being is Yours']
Meetha meetha tu
[Sweet as Honey You Are]
Khara khara main
Tera saara main…
[My whole being is yours...]
Saara main…
Sindhoori rang suhagan sachcha
[Vermilion Scarlet transpires into an Eternal Union]
Sachcha re sarmaaya jo paya hai woh
[What I got is the property of purity]
Tu dil mein mahi aaya hai
[O'Maahi you blossomed in my Heart]
Maine mahi paya hai
[I've attained You in Me]
Nazar laaye na
[No Evil Eye Touches You]
Koi…nazar laaye...

Film: "Raanjhanaa"; Music Director: A.R. Rahman; Singers: Jaswinder Singh, Shiraz Uppal, Shreya Ghoshal, A.R. Rahman, Javed Ali, Pooja Av, Kirti Sagathia, Aanchal Sethi, Vaishali, Chinmayi, Madhushree, Neeti Mohan, Rashid Ali, and Rabbi; Rating: ***1/2
The music of director Anand.L. Rai's movie "'Raanjhanaa" has eight tracks. Since the movie is based in Benaras, composer A.R. Rahman has included the regional flavour in most of the tracks. Use of a lot of instruments in all the songs is also evident.
The soundtrack kicks off with "Raanjhanaa", a high on energy number. Sung by Jaswinder Singh and Shiraz Uppal, it is not exactly a sugarcoated romantic number but its rhythmic beats make you tap your feet and you may put the.

Easily one of the most awaited films of the year, Raanjhanaa captured our interests from the unconventional pairing of Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush, and Abhay Deol and the earthy tones from A.R.Rahman’s songs. Anand L Rai’s fourth feature after the sleeper hit, Tanu Weds Manu, looks to be an interesting and swooning love story especially through its gorgeous music. A.R.Rahman was so moved by the script of the film that he immediately agreed to sign up and do the background score for this love story, which can only mean good things for its prospects as an awaited summer movie. Raanjhanaa has been quite the lucky project for Rahman after the mixed reviews for his previous Hindi soundtracks for Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Ekk Deewana Tha. Yet, if detractors have pointed to a slump in Rahman’s output, then this soundtrack firmly proves his...

Chakravyuh is Prakash Jha’s latest commentary on the political/social conditions of India. Jha addresses the issue of Naxalites this time. It stars Abhay Doel, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpai in pivotal roles.
Arguably music does not play a huge part in Jha’s movies, however ‘Mora Piya’ from Raajneeti gained a strong fan following while its ‘Bheegi Si’ and Aarakshan’s ‘Acchi Lagti Ho’ were also well liked by music enthusiasts.
Chakravyuh has Salim-Sulaiman (Fashion, Band Baaja Baaraat) composing three tracks, the reminder being composed by Vijay Sharma, Sandesh Sandaliya (Chameli), Shantanu Moitra (3 Idiots) and Aadesh Shrivastav (‘Mora Piya’ – Raajneeti). The Raaz franchise re-emerges with its third film, Raaz 3 this year. Great music has been synonymous with the last two movies and with names like Emraan Hashmi and Mahesh Bhatt associated with it, expectations are certainly running high. Raaz featured music by Nadeem-Shravan while Raaz – The Mystery Continues featured music by Raju Singh and Toshi-Sharib, the second being very contemporary and the first relatively traditional. Both, immensely popular.
The new-ish Jeet Ganguly (Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi) has composed the songs with a guest composition by Rashid Khan. Lyrics have been penned by Kumaar, Rashid Ali and Sanjay Masoom while vocal talents consist of Javed Ali (‘Guzaarish’ – Ghajini), Shafqat Ali (Tum Mile – Title Track), K.K (Desi Boyz – Title Track), Sonu Nigam (Jabse Mere Dil Ko Uff – Teri Meri Kahani) and Shreya Ghosal (Chikni Chameli – Agneepath). The album has 6 tracks and is devoid of any remixes or reprises.

Gautam Menon’s bilingual (Tamil/Telugu) masterpiece Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (Vtv) and Yeh Maaya Chesave (Ymc) is finally being re-made in Hindi as Ekk Deewana Tha with Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson as the leads. The music of Vtv/Ymc, composed by A R Rahman, was given as epic a status if not more than the movie. So it was not a surprise when it was heard that Rahman would be re-making the same songs in Hindi with lyrics penned by none other than Javed Akhtar.
Edt has 12 tracks and features the vocal talents of Clinton Cerejo (‘Kya Karoon’ – Wake Up Sid), Shreya Ghosa (‘Chikni Chameli’ – Agneepath), Javed Ali (‘Guzarish’ – Ghajini), Naresh Iyer (‘Robaroo’ – Rang De Basanti) and Rahman himself amongst others.
Ekk Deewana Tha hits cinemas 17 Febuary 2012.
Kya Hai Mohabbat is the only track in the album that cannot be found in the soundtrack of Vtv/Ymc, so naturally its first on the list.
