Just as The Bachelor makes for feel-good TV by offering up snapshots of romantic love so mindless and undignified that our own relationships can only shine by comparison, so too does Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America make our average paper plates of burnt toast look downright intoxicating next to the inedible output of its hapless anti-chefs.
Last night’s episode featured turkey alla salmonella, “steamed” (read: gray and bloodied) steak, and a salsa cruda recipe infused with just a hint of a contestant’s saliva. Perhaps even more shockingly, two of those “delicacies” didn’t get their creators ousted from the competition.

Sales consultant Kirk DeWindt from Green Bay, Wi was the last man kicked out of "The Bachelorette", Ali Fedotowsky's edition. This week's episode is about the homecoming visits where Ali is brought home by the four remaining men and introduced to their respective family.
Ali started the homecoming date with Roberto whose parents gave blessings to both of them and in case Roberto wants to propose to Ali. From Roberto's Tampa, Florida home, Ali traveled to Cape Cod, M.A. to meet Chris L.'s family. She was greeted by Chris' brothers, their wives and his father. Chris' mom has passed away and Chris regretted the fact that he could not introduce his possible wife to her.

Last Monday "The Bachelorette"'s Ali Fedotowsky had to make the hardest cut of all. She had to eliminate one bachelor from the five remaining -- Chris L., Frank, Kirk, Roberto and Ty -- and that man would not get a hometown visit. The man who did not receive a red rose was Ty, a 31-year-old medical sales rep from Nashville, Tn. When Ali let you go, you didn't seem to be that emotional. Were you more shocked than sad? Or did it sink in later? Ty Brown: Nobody wants to get let go, especially at that stage in the show. I suppose you are right. I was shocked. At the same time, if I was going to be going home before being the last person there, it was almost relieving because I didn't have to get my family involved. At the same time, I was disappointed that I went home.

On this week's "Bachelorette" episode, Ali Fedotowsky took Ty and Frank on the most awkward two-on-one date in the history of the show. What would have made it more awesome? Renaissance costumes, obviously.
In this deleted scene, apparently we really missed out on seeing Ali, Ty and Frank get their renaissance faire on. They don their costumes and learn how to dance -- Frank is worried about massacring another dance, since Broadway didn't go so well, but he does okay and he certainly makes Ali laugh a lot.
Upon seeing this deleted scene, it's much easier to see how Ty was eliminated. He and Ali just didn't seem to have the same connection as she does with the other guys. Watch the clip below and let us know what you think!
Also, is anyone else annoyed things like this got cut in favor of 45 freakin' minutes of the Jake and Vienna interview?...

Ty is gone and we’re down to the final four guys on The Bachelorette. Thank goodness, because it’s starting to get old!
Am I the only one sick of hearing Ali Fedotowsky talk about giving up everything to find love? Sure, she quit her job at Facebook and didn’t renew her lease in Northern California — but at the end of the day, the 26-year-old blonde is going to have Everything just because she’s now famous from this reality show (even if she doesn’t “find love”).
But I digress.
In the July 5 episode, the final five guys — Kirk, Roberto, Chris L., Ty and Frank – battled it out for one of the coveted final four spots in Ali’s heart, which also guarantees a hometown visit next week.
Set in Lisbon, Portugal, the episode was filled with overly romantic gestures and moments that have become staples of The Bachelorette – a horse-drawn carriage,...

Ali Fedotowsky is the star of The Bachelorette, but you wouldn't have known it from last night's episode, which was pared down to 75 minutes to make room for Vienna Girardi.
The final rose recipient from the most recent season of The Bachelor (which Ali bailed on after an offer to be The Bachelorette ultimatum from work) was back, and in rare form.
Vienna and Jake sparred for 45 minutes, making us wonder just why they got together in the first place, and why the heck The Bachelorette is a two-hour show for that matter.
Follow these links for comprehensive recaps of Jake and Vienna's interview and the rest of The Bachelorette drama. Below, we've listed some of last night's highlights for you ...
Roberto, Chris and Kirk all do well on their 1-on-1 dates. Frank and Ty go on a 2-on-1 date, and lament this fact. The same old narratives are rehashed over and over.

"The Bachelorette" may be overshadowed by the anticipated Chris Harrison's interview with Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi but someone still had to go home. Ty Brown, the 31-year-old medical sales from Booneville, Ms was eliminated from the dating show while the final five visited Lisbon, Portugal.
With fewer men left, Chris announced at the beginning of the episode that Ali would not hand out roses during the dates. Thus, everybody would make it to the rose ceremony. However, two-to-one date still applied and Ty happened to be in the situation with Frank.
The three of them went for a dinner but everything went awkward until Ali pulled Ty aside. They talked a while and Ali asked whether his family would like her. He assured her that they will because she has a career and ambition. Ali also pulled Frank aside and their conversation ended up in a kiss under a tree.

"The Bachelorette" Ali Fedotowsky had a lot on her mind as she took the five remaining bachelors -- Chris L., Frank, Kirk, Roberto and Ty -- on dates around Lisbon, Portugal. After an "amazing" week, Ali picked the four suitors that will take her back to their hometowns to meet their families and friends. Chris L. got the first rose of the night, following a date where he opened up to Ali about his family and presented her with a gift. Chris explained that he moved home to take care of his ailing mother before she passed away. He presented the bachelorette with a "Dennis" bracelet, a gift he said was from his dad, revealing to Ali that he was waiting to give her the bracelet until he was sure they had a connection. Ali was excited about the present and suggested that the two of them bring back some...

The final five, Roberto, Kirk, Chris, Ty and Frank, all went to Lisbon, Portugal for a romantic getaway with Ali, who was forced to decide which four suitors will be moving on to the home town dates. Though a lot of drama was promised this week on The Bachelorette, most of it came from Chris Harrison's highly anticipated interview with Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi, who are living proof that finding fairytale love on TV could turn into a devastating nightmare. Ali Fedotowsky and the five remaining bachelors -- Chris L., Frank, Kirk, Roberto and Ty -- arrive in Lisbon, Portugal for another round of romantic dates on Monday night's "The Bachelorette." The final date of the night is a one-on-one with Chris L. The two take a scooter ride through the countryside and stop off for a picnic with a breathtaking view of the coastline. "I never drove a motorcycle or a scooter. I have only ridden a bicycle," Chris admits. I can't wipe out with Ali on here. I can't be the dude who kills 'The Bachelorette.'" Chris' relationship with Ali has moved slowly, but things pick up as this bachelor gives her a very personal gift and tells her how much a hometown date would mean to him. But at the end of the night, Ali will be forced to send one man home in a tearful rose ceremony.

Where will Ali Fedotowsky's jet-setting "Bachelorette" season takes us next on the July 5th episode?
Portugal looks gorgeous -- do we think they're at a vineyard? It's hard to tell. We wonder who will get the rose from this two-on-one? Who do you think it'll be? Also, how awkward are those three? So awkward. All we're missing are some crickets from the sound editors, right?
Don't forget -- the July 5 episode is also the one featuring the Jake and Vienna interview with Chris Harrison. We have a sneak peek clip of that as well! And finally, Mr. Rated-r himself has released a statement -- he feels lied to by ABC and isn't appearing on The Men Tell All episode!

With The Bachelorette, you're never quite sure what's real and what has been edited, re-shot, flipped, tweaked, manipulated or blatantly staged. But last night was great.
Ali Fedotowsky received a startling revelation about one of her final seven guys - Justin Rego (a.k.a. Canadian wrestler Rated R) was totally there for the wrong reasons.
This was declared "unspeakable" by our fair maiden. We'd call it inevitable ... and hilarious. Watching his reaction to it, however staged, was a fairly amazing sequence.
She learned this after his girlfriend back home, who supported his bid to go on the show for publicity, outed him after realizing he was cheating on her with another girl.

Amid the beautiful backdrop of Istanbul, Turkey, "The Bachelorette"'s Ali Fedotowsky was shocked to her core on Monday night's episode, when she discovered that one of the bachelors has been competing for her love while having two girlfriends back home. Also in the episode, Ali cuts right to the chase and eliminates another bachelor! The competition within "The Bachelorette" is getting tighter with seven men remaining. Ali Fedotowsky had sent home two more people this week, dismissing Kasey Kahl and Craig N. from her list of potential man to marry.
Ali and the nine men headed for Iceland where the dating sessions were divided into three, a solo, a group and a two-to-one. Kirk was lucky to be picked as a one-on-one date for Ali. They went to a clothing store and kissed each other all the way. Kirk got a rose at the end of the date.
Roberto, Chris L., Chris N., Craig R., Ty and Frank were in the group date. They went to a natural hot spring where Ali stripped down to bikini. Chris L. had an alone time with Ali, freaking out Frank who has been extremely jealous of any man near Ali. However, neither Chris L. or Frank got the rose at that moment.

Bad poetry followed bad poetry on Monday night's "The Bachelorette" as the nine remaining bachelors tried to write a love poem to Ali Fedotowsky in hopes of winning this week's only one-on-one date in Reykjavik, Iceland. "It takes a real man to buck up and do it," Ali says of the poetry contest, before selecting Kirk as the winner. Of all the guys, she chose him because he sat next to her while he read his poem -- as did Frank -- but of the two, she selected Kirk because she hadn't had a one-on-one date with him yet. She told the guys that they should have learned their lesson at The Lion King when she selected Roberto to be her partner because he sang his audition song to her. First stop was a clothing store where the two tried on silly sweaters before selecting matching outfits for their date.

The fourth episode of The Bachelorette's current season might have seemed boring, but a dose of the insane helped liven things up in short order. Kasey, we appreciate it man.

Moreover, he proceeded to state his mission with Ali Fedotowsky is to "guard and protect her heart" - despite knowing her all of a few days - approximately every 10 seconds.

Hunter Wakner was the first bachelor to go on a date with "Bachelorette" Ali Fedotowsky and not return with a rose. Find out what he has to say about his experienced, his take on polarizing contestants Justin "Rated-r" and Jonathan the Weatherman and how he feels about his connection with Ali.

Definitely I think it's a difference between my one-on-one date and the other guys, when there wasn't an exciting adventure we were able to share together. The one-on-one date we had was probably more like a real one-on-one date that someone would have in real life, but we didn't share the excitement like the other guys did. The third episode of The Bachelorette's sixth season, which took up two ours of our lives Monday, reinforced the dual tenets of the long-running reality series in our mind:
You cannot take The Bachelorette seriously, even a little bit You can still enjoy The Bachelorette a lot despite point #1
Seriously, if you view this as a real quest for love, rather than contrived nonsense, you're really kidding yourself. If love happens, great. But it's just not what it's all about.
That said, it can still be a very entertaining show if you view it through a prism of skepticism and believe nothing. And DVR it and skip the commercials. Two hours? Yeesh.

Ali Fedotowski's quest for love on "The Bachelorette" continues with the elimination of three more guys. Steve Kocsis, John Crivello and Hunter Wagner are the ones sent home in the week where one of the guys shed a tear for being nervous.
Ali had her first one on one date with Roberto, the guy who won Ali's first impression rose. They had to cross a tightrope suspended between two 20-story buildings before having a romantic dinner for two. After lots of cuddling and kissing, Ali gave him the first rose of the night.
The group date involved nine guys including Jonathan the weatherman and Justin the entertainment wrestler in crutch. Together with Ali, these men filmed a Barenaked Ladies video. Frank was first up, having himself slapped by Ali in a scene. Jonathan meanwhile was assigned to have a kissing role with Ali. He was so nervous that he cried...

After a spectacular, high-flying one-on-one date and a group date that required some "Barenaked" acting, 11 men remain after Monday night's rose ceremony on ABC's "The Bachelorette." Read on for the recap! With 14 suitors vying for Ali's attentions, the competition began to build and the pot began to simmer between the 25-year-old advertising account manager and her prospective perfect matches. First up, Ali and insurance agent Roberto had to muster the courage to tightrope walk high in the air between a pair of building tops in Los Angeles! The pair flew in a helicopter to their destination, and Ali said, "I look down and there are cars on the street and people down there -- anything could go wrong! ... Are you ready to fall for me?" Then, this week's group date was a big surprise, as Ali and the guys got to be in a Barenaked Ladies music video! For "You Run Away,...

One obsessed bachelor sneaks out of the bachelors pad on Monday night's "The Bachelorette" to claim some alone time with Ali Fedotowsky. Justin boldly makes a move to get more alone time with Ali. The fixated man slips out of the mansion without telling the other bachelors and treks to "The Bachelorette"'s house, where he surprises Ali and is rewarded with some romantic time alone with her. "Chris Harrison said you have to use every moment to the best of your abilities to get one-on-one time with Ali," says Justin, who as a result of a broken foot, hobbled over on his crutches. . "It doesn't matter if she lives one mile, five miles or 10 miles away. Bottom line, I am willing to do anything to get a rose from Ali. I will do absolutely anything if that means I am the last guy standing." Later that evening, Ty trash...

Check out these preview clips from "The Bachelorette's" Monday, June 7 episode. The gang thinks Justin is "two-faced" and "Mr. Jekyll and Hyde," which isn't exactly right, but we think we sussed out what Ty means. The looks on their faces when Justin catches them talking about him are just priceless.
Meanwhile, it looks like the group date is a movie shoot of some kind and Jonathan does not appear able to just grab Ali and lay one on her. He's so awkward! And then ... is he crying? There's no crying in "Bachelorette"!
And then Hop-along Justin decides to sneak out of the mansion and crutch his way down the road to go see her. Wow. We can see how Ali would really like that -- and the other guys would want to punch him in the face because of it.
Finally, Ali and Roberto go on a high-flying date...

The Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky has reportedly described her first group date of the season as "overwhelming". The 25-year-old from San Francisco invited 12 of the contestants to a Malibu beach house on last night's instalment of the show, and surprised them by revealing they would be shooting a calendar for charity. The men on the date were: Jonathan, Chris H, Kirk, Steve, Craig R, Chris N, John C, Justin, Tyler V, Hunter, Ty and Craig M. Writing on her People blog, she said: "I’m so glad that we got the chance to do something for charity since giving back is really important to me. However, the photoshoot kept us super-busy so it was hard to focus on getting to know the guys." The advertising (more)...

After an uneventful premiere, the second episode of The Bachelorette's sixth season stepped things up a bit - even if much of the drama was strictly between the guys.
Most of the time, The Bachelorette differs from The Bachelor in this way.
Dudes being dudes, there's a lot more hanging out and camaraderie than cliques and bickering. It's both better and worse than its sister (brother?) series in that sense.
Emotions and testosterone levels are on the rise, sure, but guys are usually more chill and less prone to name-calling, passive-aggressive moves and full-on cat fights.
Not last night!
Weatherman Jonathan, a decent-seeming fellow who's a bit whiny but genuinely nice, incurred the wrath of Craig M., who is not a very nice individual. To put it kindly.
Ali Fedotowsky tugs at our heartstrings. And some rope.
So mean is Craig M. that Jonathan felt inclined to tell Ali...

"The Bachelorette" Ali Fedotowsky trimmed the fat down to 14 men. She eliminated three more candidates on Monday, May 31 and gave the first rose of the day to retail manager Frank. The unlucky ones are Tyler V., Craig M. and Chris N. who all happen to be in the group date at the beach.
Frank scored the first one-on-one date with Ali and he got personally picked up by the bachelorette. They had no destination on the road trip but the car broke down in the middle of the road and they decided to have a little picnic on the car hood. Once the car was fixed, they went to the Hollywood hill where they shared their first kiss.
Back at the mansion, tension was heating up when Justin was at one end against the other guys. They called him Rated-r as in Rotten. The next day, twelve of them went...

Some true front-runners emerged, Ty played the guitar some more, Craig R. made yet another “Rated ____” pun, and much, much male flesh was shown thanks to a “sexy guy calendar” swimsuit shoot. (We also spent a lot of time admiring Ali’s abs.) But mostly, this week was about Craig M. and his hair vs. Jonathan the Weatherman and his insecurities. Which was just fine with us — at least for now.

It's the second week of the new season of "The Bachelorette" and the remaining 17 bachelors are champing at the bit to get a one-on-one date with Ali Fedotowsky. This week, two of the guys will get that chance, while several others have to settle for a group date, and the remaining bachelors will get no date at all. It's destination Hollywood for Ali's solo date with lucky Frank. The couple takes off in a classic blue convertible, but the date stalls when then car develops trouble on the freeway. Not to be deterred, the two catch a cab and stroll down Hollywood Blvd., where they are swarmed by paparazzi. Then it is off for a very special treat. "No one gets to do this, but we do," Ali says. "Anybody can walk down Hollywood Blvd., but not everyone gets to do what Frank and I are doing." What they are...

Ali Fedotowsky made her premiere as "The Bachelorette" on Monday night, and the 25 men competing for her affection tried to get her attention with salsa dancing, gifts -- and even a backflip off a limo! But their affection for Ali only enflamed their competitive spirit as they attempted to woo the former "The Bachelor" contestant. "I came on 'The Bachelor' to find love and I found it and I let it go; I'm not going to do that again," Ali said on the big premiere, adding that she quit her job and moved out of her apartment in her new quest to find love. During their one-on-one time with Ali, one man revealed that he is a professional wrestler, another explained that he quit his job to move to Paris to write screenplays, while yet another told a blush-inducing story revealing why he got the nickname "Shooter." A 26-year-old from Charleston,...

Tonight we learned, mostly, that love is important and Ali was a horrible, stupid person for ever thinking otherwise and she’s awfully lucky that The Bachelor/Bachelorette is so darn forgiving because seriously, love conquers all, and if you don’t think so, you better reprioritize your life. Like she did. Because she is good and right and true now.
Oh, also: She quit her job for this, so anyone who isn’t there for “the right reasons” is in big, big trouble. That means you, Professional Wrestler Guy, Weatherman, and Dude with McDreamy Hair. The full recap, complete...

Last night, ABC gave us front-row seats to the Feb. 27 nuptials of Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney, which host Chris Harrison referred to as "one of the most anticipated weddings of all time" with a totally straight face. That's not rice you're seeing in the photo, it's rain. Which brings us to... 1. For some reason (the Bachelor producers are evil?), their wedding planner wasn't able to give them a Plan B for their outdoor ceremony. “The Bachelor” has been busy playing matchmaker. On last week’s season finale, Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi got engaged. On a special episode this week, Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney exchanged vows after falling in love on last year’s controversial edition. The guest list included many familiar faces, including happy couples from “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” history. Jason and Molly cordially invited viewers to their wedding at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA on February 27. Molly said the “wedding is a really big thank you to the people who have stood by us the last year; a celebration of the fact that Jason and I love each other and we’re going strong.” Once the cameras stopped documenting their daily life, Molly and Jason continued dating long distance for 10 months. Jason was in Seattle to be with his son Ty, while Molly stayed in Wisconsin. The geographical distance was hard to cope with,...

"The Bachelor"'s Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney [now Mesnick] got married in a lavish ceremony on Saturday, Feb. 27 in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. The event will be televised on Monday night for fans of the ABC dating series to see -- but first, Et talks to the happy couple to get the inside scoop on their big day. "I was thinking about this earlier -- and it is too bad you guys won't get to see this -- but literally, a minute before Molly walked out, [my son] Ty tackled me and I had this huge moment with Ty. It was all emotional, and then I took him to his seat. Then Molly came out and I started crying all over again," Jason tells Et. There is an old saying that rain on your wedding day is a lucky omen. Let's hope so, because it poured the afternoon that "The Bachelor" couple took their vows.
