Uncork’d Entertainment have announced they have picked up Jose Prendes’ critically-acclaimed festival favorite The Divine Tragedies for distribution in the Us.
The first feature from Dual Visions, the company headed up by Jon and James Kondelik, has been called “a dangerous and perfect little nightmare that needs to be seen” (Aint it Cool News) and “simply divine” (Dread Central). The films cast includes Hannah Levien from TV’s The Magicians, genre favorite Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator), Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead, The Devil’s Rejects), Graham Denman and Lynn Lowry (The Crazies).
The Divine Tragedies, based loosely on the famous Leopold and Loeb murder case, tells the tale of Charles Brubaker (Graham Denman) and his half-brother Thomas Lo Bianco (Jon Kondelik), who were raised by their arthritis-twisted, alcoholic mother (Barbara Crampton).
