The anime adaptation of the popular【Oshi No Ko】manga series was one of the major hits of last season, and the series is still exceptionally popular, even though it is on a break. The aesthetics of the series were embraced by the fans, who loved the insight into the world of Japanese Idols, as well as some of the major mysteries from the series. On top of that, the music was truly great and so we were not surprised when【Oshi No Ko】was officially renewed for a second season. In light of that, Hidive has confirmed that the second season is coming sooner than expected, as a July 2024 premiere has officially been confirmed.
Hidive officially described the series as follows:
When a pregnant young starlet appears in Gorou Amemiya’s countryside medical clinic, the doctor takes it upon himself to safely (and secretly) deliver Ai Hoshino’s child...

The【Oshi No Ko】anime series became one of the season’s biggest hits. We have recently reported that it won big at the 10th Anime Trending Awards, including being listed as the second-best anime of the year. Now,【Oshi No Ko】is a series inspired by Japanese Idol culture, and it portrays the lives of Japanese Idols while combining romance, humor, fantasy, and a big mystery. It wasn’t something unheard of, but it was a rather atypical move, and many fans have been wondering why the producers opted...

When a new seinen series is released it seems to stay iconic for many years. Such is the case for Oshi no Ko which is, in my opinion, one of the most surprising and striking anime of 2023. Related: Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024: Your Ultimate Guide Aka Akasaka is widely known in the anime and manga world thanks to the popularity of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War .
