Yellowstone is, this season, giving us more of a look into the Duttons’ past than it has before, with a significant amount of flashbacks showing younger versions of John (Josh Lucas), Beth (Kylie Rogers), and Rip (Kyle Red Silverstein). When we last saw flashbacks, before the midseason break — the Paramount Network show returns in the summer — Beth and Rip’s relationship was, of course, complicated. Oh, and Rip had accidentally killed Rowdy (Kai Caster) and accepted the brand as a result. Here, Rogers opens up about playing Beth in the flashbacks. How much did you know about how much we’d be seeing you again after Season 3? Kylie Rogers: It was quite a bit of a surprise how prominent the flashback storyline would be in Season 5, and it was super exciting to find out about because in the past seasons, it was Beth as a younger girl. Now I get...

That's all she wrote, folks.
Well, for the time being at least.
Yellowstone Season 5 is taking a breather, but don't worry, it will return.
During the midseason finale (a first for Yellowstone), it was revealed that the show will return for the summer.
We knew it was going to be a big episode since those of us who cover it didn't get a screener ahead of time.
Of course, that means that you won't get a full review for the episode until later tonight, but you've got this semi-good news to tide you over.
As we rolled into the midseason finale, we were awaiting news about how the rest of the season will play out with new dynamics.
Beth realized just how far in debt the ranch was after apparently sticking her head in the sand and trusting what John trusted -- what worked for the last 100 plus years.

Paramount Network delivered some bittersweet news Sunday about the return of Yellowstone. Now that Jamie (Wes Bentley) has declared war on his governor-dad John Dutton, we’re not going to see how that plays out until this summer.
That’s right, cowboys: the Taylor Sheridan drama isn’t returning until the dog days. We’re not even sure the exact premiere date; Paramount is only promising a mid-year berth. You can find a recap of the midseason finale here.

Paramount Network’s Yellowstone season five episode seven opens with a flashback, something we’ve grown used to this season. Rip (Kyle Red Silverstein) and Rowdy (Kai Caster) are watching the herd late at night when Rowdy has the nerve to bring up Beth. Rip beats the crap out of him after Rowdy pulls a knife as they fight. Rip warns him never to mention Beth’s name again.
Rip’s temper got the best of him, and Rowdy’s in terrible pain even hours later. He’s hurt bad enough to need a doctor but can’t ride. Rip will have to fetch help.
Before Rip takes off, Rowdy tells him to say he fell off his horse. Rowdy doesn’t want Rip to get in trouble.

Spoiler Alert: This post contains spoilers from the Season 5, Episode 7 episode of “Yellowstone,” “The Dream Is Not Me,” which premiered Sunday, Dec. 18 on Paramount Network.
Last week’s “Yellowstone” was a leisurely ride through the ranch, which served to illustrate the culture of The Gather, which is basically a community party celebrating cattle branding. But on this week’s episode things get academic, as there is a ton of talk about pipelines, land deals, cattle diseases and the future of the beef industry. On with the recap:
Maybe I’m just a no-good coastal elite, but Young Rip (Kyle Red Silverstein) beating a fellow cowboy nearly to death just because he was talking about the woman he liked crossed the line from “chivalrous” to “psychotic.” Even with a knife pulled on him…deescalate with your words, pardner! Taylor Sheridan's sprawling Yellowstone universe continues to expand.
Deadline reports that the Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren-led prequel limited series has been expanded to two seasons.
The series will comprise 16 total episodes, to be split across two seasons.
However, the outlet notes that negotiations are underway to bring the cast back to shoot an additional season.
It's hard to believe these negotiations not being successful. The Yellowstone universe is huge, but time will tell whether everything goes smoothly.
The cast will be busy. It's rare to hear names like Ford and Mirren attached to a TV series, but it's a testament to the success of Yellowstone.
Additionally, the outlet says that Sheridan is contemplating two separate limited series to be set in the 1940s and 1960s.
If you watch Yellowstone online, you know the series has created a universe that spans a decades-long universe.

We have some good news if you've been dying for more Yellowstone since Yellowstone Season 4 concluded.
The hit Paramount drama will preview Yellowstone Season 5's first two hours in AMC Theaters on Saturday, October 29.
That means you can watch the premiere a little over two weeks before its Sunday, November 13 premiere on Paramount Network.
It's a great tactic to get some early buzz in the hopper for this hit drama series, but then again, if it continues to grow exponentially, it will continue to be the biggest series on TV.
It was recently reported that the Yellowstone Season 5 trailer premiere broke records.
The special event in AMC theaters also includes a first look the Taylor Sheridan's Tulsa King, which is set to premiere linearly the same night as Yellowstone.

Another year of pure Yellowstone TV dominance has come and gone and Yellowstone season 5 is officially on the way.
Fans can quibble with whether Yellowstone season 4 and its all out war saga was creativity successful or not, but what cannot be denied is the awesome ratings power of this Taylor Sheridan-created Paramount Network series.
In its fourth season, Yellowstone was once again one of TV’s most-watched properties, with a premiere that drew 10.5 million viewers and a finale that took in almost the exact same amount. Naturally Paramount Network wants more of that good stuff so they ordered Yellowstone season 5 back in February 2022.

Gov. John Dutton, is that you?
In the newest trailer for season 5 of Yellowstone, Kevin Costner’s alter-ego puts his hand on the Bible and promises to uphold the Montana constitution against all enemies, especially those pesky domestic ones. That means John definitely followed through with a suggestion by Lynelle Perry (Wendy Moniz) last season to take over as the state’s governor.
His first move in office? He fires the old staff and hires Beth (Kelly Reilly) as his chief of staff before signing some mysterious declaration that Jamie (Wes Bentley) warns “is a declaration of war.”
“We’re already at war,” John replies ominously.
There’s also a new Dutton foe played by Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook), who set her sights on destroying Beth, and a messy-haired vixen named Sarah (Dawn Olivieri) who likes to make a lot of money. Other new cast members include Kylie Rogers,...

In the first trailer for “Yellowstone” Season 5, John Dutton (Kevin Costner) is now officially a triple threat: Cowboy, gangster and Montana governor. But as the new season’s tagline says, “power comes at a price,” and that price appears to be either a literal or metaphorical war with the Dutton family’s many, many enemies.
The series returns to Paramount Network on Nov. 13. See the trailer at the top of the page now.
Right off the bat, the trailer reminds us that “Yellowstone” runs on nonstop menace with John taking his oath while getting sworn into office. When he gets to the part where he says “enemies, both foreign and domestic,” the camera makes a point of lingering on three of them: His estranged son Jamie (Wes Bently); his rival, occasional ally-of-convenience, and Broken Rock Tribal Chairman Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham); and Caroline Warner (Jacki Weaver), the CEO of Market Equities.

It’s not a spoiler to reveal that John Dutton (Kevin Costner) becomes governor of Montana in season five of Yellowstone.
In fact, it’s the opening scene of the trailer for the coming season of the Paramount Network hit, which premieres Nov. 13. John announced his candidacy and secured the endorsement of the outgoing governor (Wendy Moniz) during the show’s fourth season — seemingly to spite Jamie (Wes Bentley), who was set to run for the post himself. The campaign, it appears, was a successful one.
John’s new job does not mean, however, that Yellowstone is turning into The West Wing: Montana. The remainder of the trailer (watch it below) highlights the infighting, power plays and family drama for which the show is known and loved by more viewers than any series on cable. Standout moments include John firing most of the...

We're inching closer to the return of Yellowstone on Paramount Network.
We got the first promo earlier this week, and now, we're getting some more casting details.
This scoop is sure to resonate with fans of schemers.
Deadline revealed Friday that Q’orianka Kilcher has closed a deal to return for Yellowstone Season 5.
If you watch Yellowstone online, you know Kilcher last appeared on Yellowstone Season 3 as Angela.
The character was fun and perfectly fit into the world of schemers we've grown to love throughout the first four seasons.
Now, it certainly raises a lot of questions about what brings the character back.
Then again, the world of Yellowstone allows for villains to return.
it turns out that there's always a new scheme brewing.
That's what makes the show so exciting.
Kilcher recently hit headlines when she was charged for two felony counts of workers' compensation insurance fraud for collecting disability benefits while working on Yellowstone.

The Yellowstone forecast calls for thunder — Angela Blue Thunder, that is. Q’orianka Kilcher will be reprising her role of the cutthroat attorney in Season 5 of the Paramount Network smash, our sister site Deadline reports.
Last seen in Season 3, Angela was recruited by Rainwater to help put up roadblocks to Market Equities’ plans to develop the hell out of Montana. He and frenemy John, sharing the rare common goal, even pooled their resources, suggesting that Rainwater’s secret weapon (Angela) team up with the Duttons’ (Beth). We are just days away from another Yellowstone series marathon on Paramount Network.
And what better time to release the first look at Yellowstone Season 5?
Oh, it's a glorious day indeed!
First, a refresher. How in the heck did Yellowstone Season 4 end?
There was a murder, an engagement, a wedding, a goodbye, a catfight, and the end of a quest.
Yellowstone Season 4 Episode 10 was chock full of action, adventure, romance, and opening and closing doors.
John and Beth were at loggerheads over her treatment of Summer, who, while somewhat annoying, didn't deserve to spend years in prison.
That argument, which John considered could have been because of his personal attraction to Summer, almost cost Beth her relationships with everyone she loves.
By doubling down on anger, Beth actually considered leaving the ranch, Rip, and Carter behind, in addition to her dad.
Rip's influence on Beth won out again, and Beth remained,...

Last month, we learned that Lionsgate is funding a horror film based on the novel Creepers (pick up a copy Here) by First Blood author David Morrell. At the time, it was said that Skylan Brooks (The Darkest Minds) would be one of the film’s cast members – but Deadline reports that Brooks is no longer involved with the project. Taking over the role he was going to play is Shane Paul McGhie, who is best known for playing the role of Landon in After and After We Collided.
