The post-Harry Potter career of Daniel Radcliffe remains in full swing and has been an interesting ride filled with surprising project choices. His latest indie, Beast of Burden, a drama disguised as a thriller, sees him collaborating with arthouse-oriented Swedish director Jesper Ganslandt. Going in blind (without even reading the rather spoilerific synopsis) seems like the best course of action for Beast of Burden, since the story strives to reveal new layers that force viewers to reevaluate how they see Radcliffe’s character, Sean Haggerty. So, all we’ll say is Radcliffe portrays a former U.S. Air Force pilot, a man who begrudgingly finds himself smuggling drugs for the cartel. We had the opportunity to briefly chat with Radcliffe regarding his newest release. ScreenAnarchy: Taking a look...

From child wizard to drug runner, Daniel Radcliffe certainly has had a number of different roles in his career so far to try and shake off his Harry Potter persona. In his latest attempt, Beast of Burden, he plays a drug running pilot. Watch the trailer below.
Is it just us? judging by the trailer in which his supposedly last drop goes terribly wrong, he seems to be morphing into Justin Timberlake.
Directed by Jesper Ganslandt (The Ape) from a script by Adam Hoelzel, the film stars Pablo Schreiber (American Gods), and Grace Gummer (Mr. Robot) alongside Radcliffe.
The film will be in select Us cinemas, on VOD and Digital HD February 23, 2018.

Daniel Radcliffe has a new movie coming out called Beast of Burden from Swedish director Jesper Ganslandt. Radcliffe plays a pilot who is forced to deliver an illegal cargo of cocaine across the Us-Mexico border for his final run as a smuggler to save his wife. This looks like a solidly intense and unique thriller worth checking out. Radcliffe also tends to make movies that tell interesting stories.
The movie stars Grace Gummer, Pablo Schreiber and Renée Willett and this is the synopsis that was released:
Sean Haggerty (Radcliffe) only has an hour to deliver his illegal cargo. An hour to reassure a drug cartel, a hitman, and the DEA that nothing is wrong. An hour to make sure his wife survives. And he must do it all from the cockpit of his Cessna.
The movie will be released sometime in 2018. Check out the trailer and tell us what you think.

Post-Potter life has been fairly kind to Daniel Radcliffe.
From battling The Woman in Black to infiltrating a neo-Nazi sect in Imperium, not to mention the wholly irreverent Swiss Army Man, the former Boy Who Lived has consistently strayed outside his comfort zone in order to approach weird, wonderful, and often compelling roles. And Beast of Burden is yet another interesting feather in Radcliffe’s hat.
The film sees the actor playing Sean Haggerty, a “drug-running pilot who teams with the DEA to bring down the cartel on the promise of medical treatment for his ailing wife.” While it’s supposed to be his “last job,” things don’t go according to plan and he finds himself in an extremely tricky situation. It might be a bit of a generic premise, yes, but judging from this first trailer, which can be seen above, Radcliffe looks to have picked another...

The conclusion of the Harry Potter film series freed up Daniel Radcliffe to be whatever he wanted to be as an actor and I've enjoyed much of what he's done since, even if the film itself wasn't always successful. The Woman in Black, Kill Your Darlings, Horns, What If, Swiss Army Man and last year's Jungle rise to the top for me. So even though Beast of Burden sounds, on first blush, kinda like the Tom Cruise vehicle American Made -- big star flies a plane on daring drug mission -- the dramatic tone and darker atmosphere sets it apart, as is evident in the first trailer. The synopsis is succint: "Pilot Sean Haggerty (Daniel Radcliffe) must deliver cocaine across the Us-Mexico border for his final...

"This isn't the plan! They re-routed me..." Momentum has unveiled a trailer for an indie drug thriller titled Beast of Burden, from Swedish filmmaker Jesper Ganslandt. The film stars Daniel Radcliffe as a pilot who must deliver an illegal cargo of cocaine across the Us-Mexico border for his final run as a smuggler to save his wife. Most of the film takes place in the cockpit following Radcliffe as he flies his Cessna across the border. The cast includes Grace Gummer, Pablo Schreiber and Renée Willett. This seems like it has some intense action scenes, with drones, helicopters, and guns. Crazy. Worth a look because it is so unique. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Jesper Ganslandt's Beast of Burden, direct from YouTube: Sean Haggerty (Radcliffe) only has an hour to deliver his illegal cargo. An hour to reassure a drug cartel, a hitman, and the DEA that nothing is wrong.
