The Daily Grind Iron Man Challenge is a competition between online comic artists to see who can maintain the longest Monday to Friday update schedule, following a strict set of rules. Each artist lays $20 Usd on the line. The last man left standing takes the entire pot. The competition started on Monday, February 28, 2005, and is still going with ten contestants remaining.
Webcomics giants like Scott Kurtz, Chris Crosby, Steve Troop, and Jennie Breeden have all missed updates and been beaten out for the top spot. Conversely, none of the remaining contenders feature on Wikipedia’s list of Self-Sufficient Webcomics. Does this seem counter-intuitive?

Hot off the heels of Comic-Con, production company Benderspink announces that they're adapting the horror comic Last Blood into a feature film. "Family Guy" executive producer and show regular David A. Goodman (of The Pavilion, "Enterprise", and "Family Guy" previously) has been hired to write the screenplay. The comic, created by Bobby Crosby and Chris Crosby, follows the human survivors of a zombie massacre who find themselves protected by a band of vampires who need their blood to survive. Sounds pretty sick and twisted, and obviously fun, to me! No details on who is expected to direct or even what studio this will end up at yet, but at least it sounds kind of exciting. Or is that just me? Last Blood was first published by Blatant Comics is 2006 and is still currently publishing new issues. I did some research on the comic and apparently creator Bobby Crosby announced that...
