The Urban Movie Channel has renewed its original series A House Divided for a second season, with the soapy, multi-generational family drama created by Dan Garcia in production and set to return to the AMC-backed streaming service in the spring.
Demetria McKinney (Tyler Perry’s House of Payne), Paula Jai Parker (Ray Donovan), Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs (The Jacksons: An American Dream) and Brad James (Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse) starred in the six-episode Season 1, which debuted in July and was the most-watched original series on Umc.
A House Divided follows the Sanders clan, a wealthy, prominent family in the Los Angeles community who deal with the loss of their matriarch while uncovering and facing a slew of secrets and scandals.
For the new season, LisaRaye McCoy and Parker McKenna Posey have come aboard for new recurring roles.

Ten years after Kara Kopetsky was last seen leaving her Belton, Missouri, high school, her remains have been identified.
Police said in a statement that DNA testing conducted by the FBI confirmed the remains — one of two sets of bones discovered on April 4 — belonged to the 17-year-old high school girl, who worked part-time as a cashier at Popeyes.
“It has been a long 10 years and a long four months, and we finally found her and she is back where she belongs and we can finally put her to rest,” Kara’s mother, Rhonda Beckford, tells People. “The next step is...

Welcome to another addition of Catching Up with the Classics where I talk about a comic book series or story that I have failed to read up to this. This time I am taking a look at The Sandman Vol 1: Preludes and Nocturnes.
My Background:
If I am being honest Neil Gaiman’s work can be intimidating. I have read a number of his stories in both comic and novel form and enjoyed them a great deal. The thing is I know going in that a lot of time and energy needs to be taken in order to fully appreciate his stories. Now I don’t mind doing that work, it is just sometimes you have to be in the right mood. Sometimes I feel like reading something of true significance and sometimes I just want to read something quick and easy with a lot of superhero punching. It...
