Jamie Lucas Scott, you are making us all feel old! Jackson Brundage, the child actor who captured hearts on the teen drama One Tree Hill, officially turned 21 on Jan. 21, leaving fans bursting with nostalgia! To celebrate, he shared a pic of himself holding up a peace sign and wrote on his Instagram Story, "21 today! Any alcohol recommendations?" On the hit CW series, Jackson played the son of Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) and Hailey James Scott (Bethany Joy Lenz) after the show's timeline flashed forward four years at the beginning of its fifth season. His character was known for his adorable short stature, quick wit, forgiving heart and love for his pet rabbit Chester. He also had big dreams to...

Praise be! One Tree Hill is coming back! After Netflix decided to cut the hit CW show from its lineup in October, Hulu heard our prayers and is bringing it back next month. The news got us thinking about the cast and one, young character in particular who stole our hearts...James Lucas Scott! Nathan and Haley Scott's son always brought the most adorable moments to the show—not to mention, some pretty wise words for a kid. But where is little Jamie now? His real name is Jackson Brundage, and he's already about to turn 17 years old on January 21. After starring on the show for four years, he's gone on to appear in a couple other TV series. However, for the most...

Millions of fans said goodbye to One Tree Hill this week as the two hour series finale made it to our television screens. The finale began with a special one hour retrospective with creator, Mark Schwahn and the cast. Not often does a creator of a hit show and the cast come together to talk about what makes their show and the experience of making it so special, with their connection to the fans at the forefront. As Bethany Joy Lenz wrote on her blog, “In a strange way, an indirect way… I supposed we raised each other.”
“It’s about falling in love, it’s about making someone proud of you, it’s about being proud of yourself. It’s about that quiet voice that tells you, you could do better.” – Mark Schwahn
Schwahn said it best when he said, “What’s real about it are the emotions behind it and the people.

Warning: Don't read this post until you've watched the 'One Tree Hill' series finale. It contains so many beautiful spoilers. Mark Schwahn told me he wanted to make the series finale feel like "a quintessential One Tree Hill episode," and that's exactly what he delivered April 4: introspective voiceovers, unforgettable performances, and a look into the future that wrapped up nine years of story into an hour-long love letter to the fans of "the little show that could." So, without further adieu, here are the 24 moments that reduced me to a ridiculous Andy Puddle during the final hour of One Tree Hill: 1. The opening shot of Tree Hill with the show title looming in the sky. 2. The characters, as grown ups, looking back at their 17-year-old selves. 3. Haley (Bethany Joy Lenz) going through the old box of predictions. 4. Brooke (Sophia Bush) running her fingers along the records...

Tonight we say goodbye to "One Tree Hill" after nine years on the air, but the cast and crew said goodbye in mid-November when picture wrapped on the 187th episode in Wilmington, Nc. Now, over four months later, creator Mark Schwahn and the cast we've come to think of as friends have moved on to new projects.
We realize that emotions are still raw right now, but when you're ready -- here's where you can find those familiar faces.
Mark Schwahn: Schwahn is currently back in North Carolina overseeing production on his pilot, "Shelter," which is a contender for The CW's Fall 2012 schedule. The pilot, which he's executive producing with J.J. Abrams, will certainly appeal to "One Tree Hill" fans -- it's an old-school WB feel, an undeniable earnestness, and the same themes of hope and friendship that we saw on Oth.

What a moving introduction last night on One Tree Hill. There was so much anxiety, anger, and then warmth. In the words of a fellow One Tree Hill viewer, “I’m about to cry and I don’t even cry over television shows. This is too sad.” “Danny Boy” was undoubtedly the most emotionally draining episode of the season. It reminded me of the season three finale, all of that emotion in the final moments coming like a sudden flood. Haley (Bethany Joy Lenz) seemed to have tears flowing in every scene, making us all wrecks throughout. Bethany Joy Lenz was phenomenal. Danny’s death was inevitable but even knowing what was coming, what a heartbreaking episode this was. The villain turned hero met his with loved ones surrounding him.

Dan finally earns his son's love & gets a surprise visitor from 'Tree Hill' past! This was the most emotional episode of the season. Jamie's (Jackson Brundage) words "He'll be alright, he's Grandpa Dan," echoed throughout the hospital on the March 21 episode of One Tree Hill, as everyone came together after Dan (Paul Johansson) took a a bullet for Nathan (James Lafferty). The doctors informed the newly reunited Scott family that after being shot, and combined with his heart problems, it was likely that Dan wouldn't survive. Throughout the episode, Dan had flashbacks of the many paths he'd chosen in life. Some were good moments, like the 0ne time he and Nathan actually played basketball without keeping score, but others were more tragic events Dan sincerely regrets, like shooting his brother. But just when you thought he'd pull through, Dan flatlined and was visited by none-other-than his brother, Keith (Craig Sheffer). At this point,...

Lucas arrives in Tree Hill to help with a new crisis, while Brooke battles a demon from her past. He's baaaaack! On the Feb. 22 episode of One Tree Hill, Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) -- the one man who can compete with Nathan (James Lafferty) in the looks category -- finally returned to Tree Hill. The fact that he's back in town almost made every other event that occurred in "Last Known Surroundings" irrelevant. Still, this highly anticipated episode did not disappoint. As Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) requested, Lucas returned to take Jamie (Jackson Brundage) and Lydia with him so she could focus on Nathan and protect her children in case anything bad happened. Lucas reassured Haley several times that her husband Will Come Home (please, please, pleeeease let this be true!) Jamie forgot to bring along the video of his dad and called Julian (Austin Nichols) so he could send it to him.

We’re hitting the halfway mark of One Tree Hill the final season and while “Catastrophe and the Cure” may have been more of a catastrophe, there were still a few moments worth smiling about. Nathan's new foe makes Nanny Carrie look like Mother Teresa! We're kind of worried. On the Feb. 15 episode of One Tree Hill, viewers finally found out where Nathan (James Lafferty) is -- sort of. It turns out he's been kidnapped! Also, people in Europe take basketball way too seriously. Apparently, Nathan tried to sign a player who was the "property" of someone else. (It's just a sport. Winning isn't everything, remember?!) Unfortunately, his family and friends back in Tree Hill are still left in the dark. Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) tried her best to keep composure, Dan (Paul Johannson) made a list of his enemies, Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) scared the mess out of Haley by telling her that posters were being put up and people were searching the woods, and Jamie (Jackson Brundage) shocked us all by calling Dan a liar. Oh, and Lily took her first steps. Meanwhile,...

The Feb. 8 episode of 'One Tree Hill' proved to be a step towards improvement for some characters -- and for others, well, not so much. Julian (Austin Nichols) was still overly-stressed this week about leaving Davis in the car. He even took Davis to the doctor and insisted something was wrong, or will be wrong with him. The doctor's orders? A day of rest and relaxation -- for Julian. Meanwhile, Brooke (Sophia Bush)'s battle with Tara (Chelsea Kane) turned into an all-out war when Brooke realized Tara may have written a note on Julian's car, which read: "Fry burgers, not your babies." Except Brooke didn't fight Tara -- she destroyed her restaurant (refer to the flashback in the season opener). (I may have cheered and yelled 'rock on, Brooke!' at my television during that scene.) Clay (Robert Buckley) checked in to a mental facility and was diagnosed with a fugue disorder.

What a wonderful way to start off this week’s episode of One Tree Hill. The music of this episode was fantastic, as it always is. There are thousands upon thousands of fans who are eternally grateful for the artists that this show has introduced us to and this week’s music was a reminder of that. Beautiful. Aside from the music, Brooke (Sophia Bush) and Julian (Austin Nichols) waking up to quiet babies and Brooke’s mother caring after them was hilarious. Better late than never? Even more, Brooke Davis has found a way to bring her clothing line to life with the help of her father since her mother said no. Finally, Brooke has said what needed to be said about her parents only wanting to be close with her when her business is involved. Any bets that her father will unknowingly prove her wrong? This is going to be interesting.

From all indications from the two-minute teaser which jump-starts this final season, and from the cryptic remarks of the cast and creator, fans better be prepared to break out the Kleenex. The body under a white sheet in the morgue make be the best clue, but given the number of tears shed at a special sneak peek screening of One Tree Hill’s 9th season opener by the cast last week, one of the show’s beloved characters is not going to make it through the season.

We're thrilled to share the new teaser with you above, but we'll warn you -- it's not going to make the wait any easier. This is absolutely the most harrowing two minutes we see in the episode.

One Tree Hill Cast Shares Favorite Moments
The ninth and final season of One Tree Hill is set to premiere January 11, and everyone, the cast and fans alike, are preparing for the conclusion to the long running series. In honor of the finality of the series, the main cast of the season spoke with TV Guide and revealed their favorite moments from their time on the show. Going through all of them is like a trip down memory lane, and if at anytime you were a fan of the series you should definitely give these a once over.
Austin Nichols’ (Julian) most memorable moment was in the episode “Darkness on the Edge of Town” when his on-screen fiancé, Brooke, almost died. Brooke’s actress, Sophia Bush, will forever remember “Now Lift Your Eyes to the Sun” as her first time directing an episode, enjoying being involved in the behind-the-scenes portion of filming.

It's almost time for the final season of "One Tree Hill" to begin (January 11, 8 p.m., be there) and you know what that means... the next month is going to be full of excruciating, teasing, taunting promotion.
(Hey, CW... you can just send us the whole season right now. We won't tell anyone anything. We swear.*)
The very first footage of Season 9 has now hit the web, and it's only available for Facebook fans. The video begins with a voice over courtesy of one Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush). "I grew up in Tree Hill," she says, as we see poignant images of the iconic rivercourt and the house where she was raised. "I spent most of my life here. It's what I wished for."
We later hear her say, "I like Tree Hill like this. Warm. Safe. Loved.... It doesn't mean there haven't been hardships, but I'm here, and here is good.

Previously on One Tree Hill…
The last season of Mark Schwan’s brilliant One Tree Hill was an important one for the show. With two of the leads, Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton, leaving at the end of the sixth season, there was a big task ahead of the seventh season to prove that the show could still work without Lucas and Peyton, that it would still be watchable. And though I know some might disagree with me, I know a lot of people would agree that they did such a good job at not only keeping the show alive but maintaining the same level of excellence in the beloved One Tree Hill that we’d all come to know in the half-dozen years prior.
As we said goodbye to Lucas and Peyton, we in turn were introduced to Clay (Robert Buckley), Nathan’s agent, and Quinn (Shantel Vansanten), Haley’s sister,...

"One Tree Hill" fans, the end is near. The cast and crew are currently shooting their series finale, and we've been following along on Twitter as they say goodbye to friends and favorite locations, recalling the memories they've shared there along the way.
On Tuesday (Nov. 8), they shot their last scenes at Tric, the club location that Karen and Peyton in Season 2 and has been a focal point ever since. Sophia Bush shared an exciting piece of news via her Twitter: Gavin DeGraw is returning as a musical guest for the final episode.
DeGraw, of course, is the man responsible for "I Don't Want to Be," the show's theme song, which was covered by a wide variety of artists for the Season 8 opening credits.
Sources tell us that this year, there won't be an opening credit sequence -- as it's the final season, they don't want to waste precious moments...

It's hard to believe 10-year-old Jackson Brundage has been acting on One Tree Hill for three years already. The smart, budding actor got his start at just 5 years old with a supporting role in the film, Lime Salted Love. He got cast on the CW hit show in 2008 and now it just got picked up for a ninth and final season. Jackson plays James Lucas Scott, the super-smart and adventurous son of Haley and Nathan. And like Jamie, Jackson loves sports, eating and hanging out with friends. He's also just as funny and adorable as you'd think.
Jackson and I chatted about the show, his costars and what he likes to do for fun. Read our interview below!

Here is the official press release:
The CW Network unveiled the schedule for its 2011-2012 season today at its annual upfront presentation for advertisers, affiliates and national media from Jazz at Lincoln Center. Last night’s season finale of One Tree Hill was not just about goodbyes but growing up and reconnecting. The execution of setting an hour long episode, the season finale in particular into a year time span was brilliant.
Viewers first started following Chase (Stephen Colletti) from the moment he said goodbye to Alex (Jana Kramer) and attempted to say goodbye to Chuck (Michael May) as he left for the Air Force. Having Chuck not say goodbye to Chase but see him leave made for a far less emotional goodbye than what may have been expected. It was still heartfelt but very simple and bittersweet. Not bitter but not sweet either was seeing Chase hold up a magazine with Alex on the cover with another man. A picture may say a thousands words, but those words are not always correct. So even though it was quite pleasant watching Chase catch...

Tuesday's Season 8 finale of "One Tree Hill" was not the series finale -- just hours before airtime, The CW officially picked up a 13-episode Season 9. That said, it could have easily served as a satisfying end to the series. Though Mark Schwahn shot several cliffhangers to end the season on in case Season 9 got the green light, he ultimately decided to end with some closure.
The season ender spanned a year - so much time that Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush) went from having just learned of her pregnancy to giving birth to twin boys, Davis and Jude. With Davis, Brooke and Julian (Austin Nichols) stuck with the Tree Hill trend of naming their kids after their mothers' maiden names, while Jude's name came from "Hey Jude," which John Lennon wrote for his son, Julian.

What a wonderful title for an episode tonight. This title speaks volumes, as so many of One Tree Hill episode titles do…but this one really sticks with you.
After telling the guys about Ian (Eric McIntire) being the actual hit and run driver and confronting Ian at the crash site, Nathan (James Lafferty) apologized to August (guest star, Peter Riegert) after confronting Ian . Intense is the best word describe the emotions and actions in last night’s episode. As soon as Julian (Austin Nichols), Clay, (Robert Buckley) and Nathan took Ian to the crash site, everyone knew that something was about to go down. They certainly put things into perspective for Ian, even if only for a moment – though hopefully not just for a moment. It would be nice if through his aspirations for a baseball career, he will speak out against drunk driving and reckless driving to encourage...

Last night on One Tree Hill, Nathan (James Lafferty) finally discovered who was in fact responsible for almost killing his son, Jamie (Jackson Brundage) and Brooke (Sophia Bush). Nathan and Jamie approaching Professor Kellerman at his place of work was a bold move but not surprising for Nathan. Time and time again, Nathan has proved that he is not afraid of confrontation. Although tonight’s episode may have reminded long time viewers of the night that Dan (Paul Johansson) took the blame for Nathan’s car accident way back when. Professor Kellerman taking the blame for his son, resigning from his place of work for his son, and paying for hospital bills that came out of the hit and run for his son…all of these actions say so much about Kellerman’s character. Ian (Eric McIntire) created such a negative image about Kellerman that it initially turned Nathan, Clay...

Nearly every "One Tree Hill" cast member we spoke to during the first half of the series' current 8th season seemed content with the idea that Season 8 would be the final season of the veteran series.
Season 8 has, in some ways, felt like a wrap-up to a very long journey that's taken beloved characters from their junior year of high school well into their mid-twenties thanks to some well-orchestrated time jumps. (Nobody likes a high school show in college anyway, right?)
Oddly enough, it was the most recent episode -- a clip show reflecting on how far the characters have come -- that first suggested that the story might not end this year. After all, fans of the show want to see Brooke's dreams come true, and while watching her heart break as she had to say goodbye to her dreams of motherhood once again, we realized her journey was not quite over.

Since last night’s episode of One Tree Hill was jam packed with flashbacks, it was quite a let down given that the show has been on hiatus since March 2nd. “Quiet Little Voices” was more about reflection than story development. The only plots that moved along were Haley’s (Bethany Joy Galeotti) birth as well as Brooke (Sophia Bush) and Julian’s (Austin Nichols) adoption.
The big day finally arrived and the entire Tree Hill crew gathered at the hospital in anticipation for the birth of Haley and Nathan’s (James Lafferty) baby girl, Lydia. The waiting game turned into an evening of reminiscing… and quite an amusing cracker eating contest. Jamie (Jackson Brundage) also provided very interesting birth facts throughout the episode. Brundage is not only a great narrator, but was the perfect choice for this episode, given his character was gaining a new sibling.

Austin Nichols has played film director Julian Baker on "One Tree Hill" since 2008, but it wasn't until this year that he took his own turn behind the camera, directing tonight's episode, "Quiet Little Voices."
When we last saw the "One Tree Hill" gang, they were happily awaiting the arrival of two babies -- Haley and Nathan's second child and Brooke and Julian's first. We'll catch up to them in the hospital on a night ridden with anxiety... and memories.
"I think the birth of a child or children is a great opportunity, because it's a reminder of what's good in your world and what's important," says executive producer Mark Schwahn. "We didn't want to just do a clip show. We didn't want to just look back to look back. The flashbacks are a great little trip down memory lane, but they're also advancing our story."

If you like One Tree Hill, you loved "The Other Half of Me." This week's installment took me back to the days when this show could so easily pull at the heart strings of its audience, and made me forget any negative things I have had to say about the series in the recent past.
In our most recent edition of the Chuck Round Table, I was asked if I teared up during the final scene of the episode. My answer was no, but that I was never afraid to reveal when I get a bit too emotional watching fictional characters.
Which brings me to my main argument for why this week's One Tree Hill was such a fantastic episode: There were two - count 'em, two! - moments in "The Other Half of Me" when it got extremely dusty in my living room.

When the "One Tree Hill" gang was still in high school, Brooke (Sophia Bush) described herself as "the girl behind the red door." She was referring to the front door of the giant house she grew up in -- raising herself, more or less. "The girl behind the red door" was a lot of things over the high school years - she was the head cheerleader, the class president, and, in less pleasant times, the school slut and the girl whose heart was broken repeatedly by the people she trusted most.
Over 8 years of "One Tree Hill" we've watched the other original series regulars pair off and settle down while Brooke was married to her work, but on Tuesday night's episode, Brooke finally said goodbye to the girl behind the red door and married the guy for her - Julian (Austin Nichols).
Cue waterworks. Okay, okay, we know it's lame...
