Square Enix has cancelled all but one piece of Final Fantasy Xv Dlc.
Square Enix has announced their decision to cancel all but one piece of Final Fantasy Xv Dlc following the departure of the game's director, Hajime Tabata.
Oddly, Square Enix decided to announce the cancellation of this content by promoting a special live stream event. It's not often that you hear about a studio hyping up the announcement that they are canceling content, but there you go. While Square Enix did confirm that they will still release episode Ardyn (the final part of a series of planned story Dlc releases), but three other pieces of previously announced Dlc have been canceled and the studio does not plan on releasing any more Dlc for the game.

“What Remains of Edith Finch” won best game at this year’s British Academy Games Awards, BAFTA announced on Thursday. It’s the second win for indie developer Giant Sparrow, which took home an award for its debut game “The Unfinished Swan” in 2013.
Ninja Theory’s dark fantasy action game “Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice” was the biggest winner of the night. It received five BAFTA awards, including artistic achievement, audio achievement, British game, and game beyond entertainment. Actress Melina Juergens also won in the performer category for her role as Senua. “Hellblade” gained a lot of attention last year for its portrayal of a character with mental health issues.
This year’s fellowship was given to Double Fine Productions’ Tim Schafer. He’s best known for his long tenure at now-defunct studio LucasArts, where he helped create classic adventure games like “Full Throttle,” “Grim Fandango,” and “The Secret of Monkey Island.

Another PlayStation 4 Slim bundle has been announced by Sony today, this time to commemorate the release of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Xv. Launching November 29 to coincide with the release of the Jrpg, the bundle will include a 1Tb Hdd PS4 Slim, a new and improved Dualshock 4 controller (with a Xv themed graphic) and a special Steelbook copy (pictured above) of the game itself.
Of course, that’s not everything. Far from it. In addition to all of the above, you’ll find a Blu-ray copy of computer-animated film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy Xv tucked away in the box, as well as codes for a handful of different Dlc packs for Final Fantasy Xv.
The Royal Raiment Outfit, Masamune Weapon and Leviathan Regalia Skin add-ons are all included in the bundle, which will go on sale exclusively at GameStop in the States and Eb Games in Canada for $499 Usd/$549 Cad.
