Welcome to this week’s review of Impact Wrestling, which this week opens with a Before the Impact match that saw Laredo Kid defeat Blake Christian. Plus we get more build to this year’s Slammiversary pay-per-view. Let’s get into the review…
Match #1: Tasha Steelz & Savannah Evans def. Jordynne Grace & Mia Yim The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
Before the Knockouts make history in the first-ever Queen of the Mountain match for the Knockouts World Title at Slammiversary, momentum is up for grabs tonight! Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green, who will also compete in Queen of the Mountain, are seen watching on a monitor backstage. Evans arm drags her own partner, sending Steelz crashing into Yim. Steelz hits Yim with a tornado Ddt out of the corner. Yim sends Steelz to the outside, then plants Evans face-first into the turnbuckle to create separation and make the tag to Grace.

The television ratings are in for Destination America’s Wednesday night professional wrestling lineup, and the results have to be seen as negative for both Ring Of Honor Wrestling and Tna Impact Wrestling.
The first-run episode of Impact Wrestling that aired at 9:00pm Eastern garnered 264,000 viewers. The replay of the show, which was broadcast at 12:00am Eastern, drew an additional 63,000 viewers. When you combine both airings of the show, Tna drew a total of 327,000 viewers this week. This is actually identical to the total amount of viewers Impact drew last week. While on the surface that might seem like a positive with Tna currently airing taped matches from the past (they haven’t taped any new episodes of Impact in several weeks), it’s actually quite the opposite. This week’s number is tied for the company’s third lowest viewership since moving to Destination America.

Have no fear, those of you wishing there were some significant drama in San Jose despite the absence of injured Intercontinental and U.S. Title champs and no word from the Dead Man: King Barrett is here to show everyone a thing or two about royalty by squashing serf prince Zack Ryder.
Or if that doesn't fit your fancy, Rusev and "Hot Summer" will cool off Mark Henry and then take Dog Ziggler for a walk. Not convinced it's an "incredible" evening of action, as Michael Cole concluded after the...

If Ring of Honor ever gets their own Hall of Fame, and if Tna’s is still around in a few years, you can imagine that Christopher Daniels would be one of the few men on the planet to be inducted into both.
Daniels has been with both wrestling organizations from their inception (he first appeared on Tna’s fourth weekly pay-per-view, and main-evented the first Roh show), and been one of their best workers. Throughout the years, his character has evolved from a dark, religious menace to a man that just loves to have an appletini or two. Recently, he’s also taken his love of comic books into a new realm after writing his own comic “Christopher Daniels and Kazarian Wrestle Aw Yeah Comics.”
In a baffling decision, he was released from Tna earlier this year. However, Tna’s loss is Roh’s gain as Daniels and his...

This latest episode of Ring Of Honor Wrestling was recorded from Loiusville, Kentucky, and right off the bat we get treated to a little sample of how Roh’s new show is slowly adding to its presentation style. We see commentators Nigel McGuinnes and Kevin Kelly on screen broadcasting together for the first time. It’s a nice touch, giving Roh a little more legitimacy as a contender in the broadcast stakes, and also charmingly reminiscent of Joey Style’s old backstage area in Ecw. There’s even a chain link fence in the background. They tell us that the show’s main event will be Jay Lethal’s first defence of his Television Championship against Mike Bennet. I have to say, its really cool that there is a title match each week, it gives it a real big fight feel every week.
