A raft of high-concept unscripted formats from the likes of Yes Yes Media, Keshet International and Fulwell 73 were informally presented this week at the first edition of the International Creative Alliance Days hosted by Satisfaction Group, the Paris-based outfit founded by entrepreneur and famed TV host Arthur Essebag.
The two-day event brought together creatives and industry players who are either part of Satisfaction or doing business with the company, notably acquisition executives from M6, France Televisions and Amazon Prime Video, among others.
Richard Bacon, whose banner Yes Yes Media welcomed Satisfaction as a shareholder last year; spoke about several music-themed talent shows, including “Who’s in the Band” which he said will “search for the new One Direction or BTS, involving a new way to vote and a new way to audition.” There will be five candidates who will audition at once, all singing the same song at the same time.

Her and her family are moving after receiving “an offer we couldn’t refuse.”
“It’s been a brilliant 18 month journey as [Initial’s] Creative Director of Development with major new series commissions coming down the line that I’m hugely proud of and looking forward to watching in 2025 and beyond,” she added in a LinkedIn post.
Initial parent Banijay UK confirmed her exit, but didn’t provide details of a replacement.

It’s shaping up to be quite the week in James Corden’s post-Late Late Show life. Hot on the heels of announcing his return to the London stage in the new play The Constituent, on Monday the former CBS late night host’s production company, Fulwell 73, received the go-ahead to begin construction on a UK film and television studio that will cost more than half a billion dollars, according to Deadline.
Fulwell 73 produced The Late Late Show with James Corden for CBS, and it has partnered with the investment firm Cain International on the joint venture Crown Works Studio, which will be located in Sunderland.
Those backing Crown Works say that the 1.6 million-square-foot studio will create 8,000 jobs and generate roughly $425 million for the local economy each year.

Hulu’s unscripted offerings include The Kardashians and a new reality series featuring a pair of WWE stars.
The celeb family and wrestlers will soon be joined by a group of Mormon women who are swingers.
The streamer is currently working on docuseries The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Rob Mills, EVP, Unscripted & Alternative Entertainment at Walt Disney Television, speaking at the Realscreen event in New Orleans, said, “We have a show that we’re working on now that we’re excited about, which is about a group of Mormon wives who are also swingers.”
He said, somewhat jokingly, that this show sums up the difference between a Hulu show and an ABC show.
The series is being produced by Jeff Jenkins Productions, the company behind Netflix’s Bling Empire.
