Johnson is known for his extensive training at the gym and has a massive physique. The man is always physically ripped in every project and has a towering presence in every frame he appears in. Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw in ‘Tracker’ episode 8
CBS’s Tracker season one episode eight finds Colter (Justin Hartley) heading to Camden, Maine to take on the case of a missing dockworker named Ethan Sullivan. Sully’s fiancée, Daniella, is offering a $10,000 reward.
Sully’s been missing for two days, and the police haven’t come up with any clues to his disappearance. Colter wonders if Sully just got cold feet, and Velma (Abby McEnany) and Teddi (Robin Weigert) suggest he keep an open mind.
Colter speaks with Daniella and learns Sully’s smart and wants to get off the docks. Daniella’s parents stress the wedding is in two weeks, so they need answers now. They have already spent a lot of money, and now they need to come up with a $10,000 reward. The timing’s not great.
Daniella reveals Sully uses an old flip phone and its battery always dies.

Just when Dwayne Johnson thought he was out of the family, they pulled him back in.
The action superstar has closed a deal to return to the “Fast & Furious” franchise in a new film from screenwriter Chris Morgan, IndieWire has confirmed. Unlike Johnson’s 2019 spinoff “Hobbs and Shaw,” the untitled film will take place within the main storyline of the franchise. However, it will not be an official numbered “Fast & Furious” film. The project has been described as a story that bridges the events of “Fast X” and the upcoming “Fast X: Part II,” which is expected to be the final film in the series.
The news marks a major reversal for Johnson, who had publicly dismissed the idea of returning to the franchise. After playing Luke Hobbs in five “Fast & Furious” movies beginning with 2011’s “Fast Five” and ending with “Hobbs & Shaw,” Johnson famously departed...

After the surprise tease at the end of Fast X, Universal is making it official: Dwayne Johnson is back for another Fast and Furious movie.
Johnson will star in an untitled Fast project, Universal and Johnson announced Thursday. Fast mainstay Chris Morgan penned the script. The return is a major reversal for the star, who had insisted, repeatedly, that he was done with the action franchise after clashing with Fast headliner Vin Diesel.
The new project also marks a return for Morgan, who sat out F9 and Fast X but penned six of the main franchise movies as well as the 2019 spinoff, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, which starred Johnson and Jason Statham.
Johnson will also produce this Fast project with his Seven Bucks Productions partners Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia. Interestingly, joining Johnson on the producers list is Fast star and steward Diesel, who will produce with Samantha Vincent...

The Fast Saga has always played loose with continuity. Perhaps more than any other modern franchise, "Fast & Furious" knows that continuity is not nearly as important as the rule of cool. Characters can come back from the dead at any time, events from the past are recontextualized on the regular to reveal new information only relevant now. Nothing is off limits, everything can change, and mistakes or irregularities don't matter as long as the now is cool and exciting.
In typical fashion for the franchise, "Fast X" brings back people we thought were dead — physically or metaphorically. Near the end of the movie, we see none other than Gal Gadot's Gisele, back from the dead, and apparently working for Cipher on her submarine. Then there's the actual credits scene, which arguably pulls off the biggest magic trick the franchise has...

Back in 2001, when the first movie of the Fast franchise, The Fast and the Furious, hit theaters, hardly anyone could have predicted that a simple story revolving around a cat-and-mouse game between a bunch of street racers/DVD player hijackers and a bright-eyed rookie cop would generate a multibillion-dollar-earning franchise a decade down the line. But here we are all these years later, with ten movies released as part of three trilogies and the first chapter of the upcoming trilogy, Fast X, already raking in big numbers at the box office. While the NoS-pumped physical law-defying campy fun doesn’t seem to be restrained by brakes or clutches, the makers have charted out the ending of the franchise, and the aftermath of Fast X has provided enough hints that will help viewers assess what the final lap will look like. We would like to discuss it briefly, thereby joining the...

You may not be able to see him, but John Cena wanted Dwayne Johnson to hear him, as there was a time when he really didn’t like the smell of what The Rock was cookin’. But Cena has since come around, expressing some regret over how he spoke about the Brahma Bull with the media.
Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, John Cena said his emotions got the best of him when he blasted Dwane Johnson for putting his movie career over his wrestling one. “I got selfish and me — living WWE at the point and not having any concept of growth or someone else’s perspective — I took Dwayne’s comments [about the business] as not genuine…My view was if you love something, be there everyday. Like, what a hypocrite I am, because I still love WWE and I can’t go all the time. And I just didn’t see that.

As Fast X hit theaters this weekend, buzz has quickly spread about the film’s post-credit scene, which sees the surprise return of both Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs and Gal Gadot’s Gisele Yashar.
Johnson and franchise star Vin Diesel have famously clashed in the past, as director Louis Leterrier previously told The Hollywood Reporter he and others had brokered the “peace treaty,” saying, “We reached out to Dwayne and his team and said, ‘Just come and watch the movie. Now Diesel is also opening up about the decision to bring back the two stars, noting, “The conversations have been going on for a while.”

John Cena is reflecting on his WWE feud with Dwayne Johnson, admitting to being “short-sighted and selfish” in the situation.
On the May 18 episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Cena said he “really messed up” by feuding with Johnson between 2011 and 2013 when he returned to WWE after leaving nearly a decade earlier to pursue a full-time acting career. Of course, now both Cena and Johnson are major Hollywood stars, with Cena playing the brother of Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto in the newly-released “Fast X” and Johnson headlining the upcoming action-adventure film “Red One” alongside Chris Evans.

Even before "Fast X" hit theaters on Friday, headlines had already spoiled the return of a certain actor who seemed done with the franchise forever. The cat is long since out of the bag now, but that doesn't make it any less surprising in the credits scene to see none other than Dwayne Johnson show up as Luke Hobbs again in "Fast X."
What's surprising about it, despite Johnson leading the 2019 spin-off "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw," is that the actor had indicated he was done with "Fast & Furious" back in the summer of 2021 when the last movie, "F9," hit. At the time, he and Vin Diesel were embroiled in a public feud, with Diesel taking credit for Johnson's acting, and Johnson making veiled references to Diesel as a "candy ass" in a since-deleted Instagram post.

The following post contains major spoilers for the end of “Fast X,” the 10th installment in the “Fast and Furious” franchise
He’s back.
For the first time since 2017’s “The Fate of the Furious” — and following a years-long public feud with star Vin Diesel — Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has returned to the “Fast” franchise mothership. The actor, who starred in the “Fast” spinoff “Hobbs and Shaw” in 2019, once again plays law enforcement agent Luke Hobbs in “Fast X,” appearing in a post-credits scene cameo that sets up the potential for Johnson to have a key role in the 11th “Fast and Furious” film.
Johnson’s return likely came as a shock for many “Fast” fans who followed his public war-of-words with Diesel – or at least those who missed that the sequence was spoiled last week by an online media outlet.

Fast X director Louis Leterrier may have joined the Fast Saga in the most unusual of circumstances, but he’s made his presence felt in a big way.
Leterrier, who film fans know most as the helmer behind The Incredible Hulk (2008) and the Transporter franchise, replaced Fast mainstay Justin Lin, as the filmmaker departed the tenth chapter just one week into production. So when the offer to replace Lin came in, Leterrier, who was once in the running to direct The Fate of the Furious (2017), couldn’t resist the opportunity to finally join the franchise, even if it meant he’d be hitting the ground running with no time to prep. In fact, when he first walked onto set, he was immediately bowled over by Charlize Theron, who was going all out in a fight scene that was already being directed by the second unit.

NBC has yet to make decisions about three of its comedies.
American Auto, Grand Crew and Young Rock all remain on the bubble after the network unveiled its fall schedule with these three shows absent from fall and midseason.
NBC said “decisions are yet to be made” on the trio.
American Auto comes from Superstore creator Justin Spitzer. The series premiered its second season in January and it ended its 13-episode run in April.
Starring Ana Gasteyer, Harriet Dyer and Jon Barinholtz, American Auto hails from Spitzer and Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment. Written by Spitzer, American Auto is set at the headquarters of a major American automotive company in Detroit, where a floundering group of executives try to rediscover the company identity amidst a rapidly changing industry.
Harriet Dyer, Humphrey Ker, Michael B. Washington, Tye White and X Mayo also star.
Spitzer executive produces via his Spitzer Holding Company with Kapital’s Kaplan.

John Carpenter, the writer/director behind classic comedy adventure "Big Trouble In Little China" (1986), starring Kurt Russell as 'Jack Burton', isn't too keen about the long-delayed sequel to his film, after being left out of the creative process. "They want a movie with Dwayne Johnson," said Carpenter. "that's what they want. So they just picked that title...":
"You can't remake a classic like that, so what we're planning to do is we're going to continue the story," said sequel producer Hiram Garcia.
"We're going to continue the universe of 'Big Trouble in Little China'.
"Everything that happened in the original exists and is standalone and I think there's only one person that could ever play Jack Burton...
"...so Dwayne would never try and play that character..."
Although he has been sidelined from the upcoming production, Carpenter continues to script new adventures of his "Big Trouble" creations.

The efficiently titled How to Blow Up a Pipeline weaves a fictional story of eco-sabotage out of Marxist academic Andreas Malm’s book on climate activism. It’s also self-critical when it comes to cinema’s role within the movement.
One of the film’s central activists, Dwayne (Jake Weary), a Texan farmer whose land has been forcibly seized by the government for the construction of a pipeline, is interviewed on camera by a crew of documentarians. They’re keen to “put a human face on this crisis” in order to “raise awareness”. But all they’re really doing is demanding that Dwayne recount his pain for their own purposes. Will they contribute to his legal expenses? Will they stick around to fight his cause once the cameras have stopped rolling? We all know that they won’t. Filmmaker Daniel Goldhaber, who applied a similar sense of moral clarity to his debut,...

At an empty beach bar in Corozal, a shaggy town of a few thousand people just minutes from where northern Belize meets Mexico’s share of the Yucatan Peninsula, waves crash into a jagged, rocky breakwater. It’s 9 p.m., the kitchenis about to close, and the only people left are some young, very loud, and very sober American missionaries. Another languid Caribbean day is winding down, but my dinner companion, Moses Michael Levi “Shyne” Barrow, has no desire to linger over a meal and conversation. He’s shoveling in his fried fish,...
