The Victim
Written by Michael Biehn, based on a story by Reed Lackey
Directed by Michael Biehn
USA 2012 Fantasia imdb
For years, Michael Biehn has been one of the most interesting and versatile actors in genre cinema, while paradoxically one of the most misused. Capable of playing the hero, anti-hero or stone cold villain, Biehn has the charism and acting chops of a character actor with the chiseled good lucks of a star. Why this hasn’t translated into Biehn being one of the biggest action heroes of all time is an enduring mystery.
“I’m a working actor, and I’m always working, but there is a difference between a part and a great part. Mickey in The Divide was a great part. Johnny Ringo in Tombstone was a great part, but there is almost a twenty year gap there.”
-Michael Biehn

Do you know what 'scopophilia' is? Be honest.
It means 'the love of watching'. But it isn't really pervy unless you apply it to sex (or death).
Horror director Maude Michaud's new sexually charged supernatural thriller Red is about voyeurism and snuff films, and will be released in February, 2011 in honor of Women in Horror Recognition Month, of which we are staunch supporters.
The Montrealean short film stars Cameron Hartl, newcomer Olga G., scream queen Isabelle Stephen and includes a special appearance by Viscera founder Shannon Lark. Watch the teaser!

Last night saw the world premiere of the remake of I Spit On Your Grave, Meir Zarchi’s notorious rape-revenge saga, at Montreal’s Fantasia film festival. Zarchi (an executive producer on the redux), Spit 2010 director Steven R. Monroe, producer Lisa Hansen and star Sarah Butler were in attendance for a Q&A moderated by Fantasia co-director of international programming Mitch Davis, and we’ve got exclusive pics (by festival photographer Isabelle Stephen) after the jump!

Indie filmmaker Glen Baisley gave Fango the first look at the cover and the content info for Sins Of The Father, his third feature in the series begun with Fear Of The Dark and The Tenement. Sins hits disc from Burning Moon Pictures December 1.
The movie wraps up Baisley’s trilogy centering on the Black Rose Killer, following Peter Jacobs (Richard Redmond) as he returns to the town of Fairview Falls to dig up the truth behind the slaying of his family. What he finds is that the killer (Pete Barker) is now dying, and the story also incorporates flashbacks to his younger self (the late Joe Lauria). Canadian genre actress Isabelle Stephen co-stars, and the movie will be accompanied on the DVD by:
Audio commentary by the filmmakers and cast “Behind the Horror: A Look Back at the Trilogy” featurette Deleted/extended scenes “House of the Black Rose Killer...
