Some Jewish influencers are not happy with TikTok‘s response to inflammatory language. During a private call held five weeks after the outbreak of war in the Middle East, celebs like Sacha Baron Cohen, Debra Messing, and Amy Schumer criticized TikTok’s perceived inaction toward a growing “antisemitic movement” on its platform.
The call was organized by TikTok’s Head of Operations, Adam Presser, and its Global Head of User Operations Seth Melnick. The execs, both of whom are Jewish, held the meeting to discuss the alarming rise of antisemitic rhetoric on TikTok since October 7. At least 30 people joined the call, including the Jewish celebs listed above.
“What is happening at TikTok is it is creating the biggest antisemitic movement since the Nazis,” Baron Cohen said during the call. He argued that TikTok could simply “flip a switch” to curb Jewish hate among its community.

Last week, City Harvest, New York City’s first and largest food rescue organization, presented The 40th Anniversary Gala: House of Harvest, hosted by actor, model and producer Tyson Beckford, with décor by world-renowned celebrity event planner Colin Cowie.
The evening raised enough to provide more than 9.6 million meals for New Yorkers in need as they continue to grapple with record-high food costs, the end of federal aid programs, and the continued economic impacts of the pandemic.
The event honored the organization’s longtime Board Chair Jim Kallman and City Harvest’s frontline workers who were at the forefront of the organization’s work to help feed New Yorkers in need at the height of and throughout the pandemic. These frontline heroes helped rescue and distribute nearly 300 million pounds of food for New Yorkers across all five boroughs between March 2020 and June 2022 in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Since 2019, the company behind Snapchat has hosted a Snap Partner Summit to share its latest news and upcoming products. The 2023 edition of the Summit included a handful of exciting announcements. Snap Head of Talent Development Brooke Berry revealed that Snapchat creators with at least 50,000 followers and 25 million monthly views will now be eligible for the app’s Stories monetization program.
Last year, Snap began sharing revenue on midroll ads that appear in its Stories. After piloting that program alongside a select group of creators, the app is now expanding Stories monetization. Creators “may be eligible” to profit from their Stories so long as they meet the above criteria and share at least 10 of the disappearing posts each month. More details about those criteria are available through Snap’s Creator Hub.

In late March, Chris Martin sat down with Conan O’Brien to discuss his life. While the Coldplay frontman said a lot during his chat with O’Brien, he’s getting the most heat for his thoughts on food and nutrition. While his current diet plan isn’t for everyone, Chris Martin has discussed other nutrition plans previously. His ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, has too.
Chris Martin told Conan O’Brien that he doesn’t eat dinner
Chris Martin is being scrutinized for the diet secret he revealed during an appearance on Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend. During the leisurely chat with O’Brien, Martin revealed that he no longer eats dinner. Instead, he eats a single meal before 4 pm and calls it a day. Martin told O’Brien he began the Omad diet after he learned Bruce Springsteen was using the plan to stay fit. Chris Martin said he considered the diet his next challenge.

San Francisco, Feb 3 (Ians) Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates made roti along with celebrity chef Eitan Bernath, who recently returned from a trip to Bihar, and ate it with ghee.
A video was shared by Gates on the social media platform Instagram, in which Bernath teaches Gates how to make a roti.
“We had a blast making Indian Roti together. Eitan just got back from a trip to Bihar, India where he met wheat farmers whose yields have been dramatically increased thanks to new early sowing technologies,” Gates wrote in the caption.
“He also met with women from ‘Didi Ki Rasoi’ community canteens who graciously shared their expertise in making the perfect roti.”
In the video, the duo was making rotis and brushing them with ghee.
When Bernath asked Gates, “When is the last time you think you cooked?”
“Well, if heating up soup counts, I do that regularly,” Microsoft’s co-founder replied.

It’s been a busy week for Jimmy Donaldson. Over just a few days, the man known as MrBeast was named as YouTube’s Top Creator of 2022 and took home the Streamy Award for Creator of the Year. Those plaudits came on the heels of his new collaboration with toy company Nerf and his appearance on the cover of Forbes‘ annual 30 Under 30 issue.
The Forbes cover story calls out the remarkable wealth Donaldson has generated from his content and offline ventures. The piece suggests that the North Carolina native could become the first person to turn YouTube videos into a billion-dollar enterprise. Donaldson played it cool. “Your probability of being a billionaire is higher if you don’t make that your goal,” he told Forbes. “Just focus on making a company that is dope.”
Big financial gains were a key theme in this year’s 30 For 30 issue, with Forbes noting...

Snap Inc. recently announced a round of layoffs. The parent company of Snapchat is cutting back on products and programming, but it has a plan to continue supporting its user base.
With the discontinuation of Snap-funded Originals, creators who land on Snapchat’s primary hubs — such as its Discover page — will become the undisputed stars of the app. That’s good news for Eitan Bernath, a talented young chef with a strong social media following. Bernath exemplifies the modern Snapchat creator: He is spreading his content across multiple formats, from Discover shows to Stories to Spotlight, and those efforts are (literally) paying off.
Bernath’s success on Snapchat has allowed him to take his online video career to the next level. He currently runs a five-person business for which Snap is his “main source of revenue.”
So how’d he pull that off?
