At his Bronx rally on Thursday, former President Donald Trump invited rappers Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow to the stage. The rappers were among other guests invited by Trump to show support for his presidential bid. Trump previously vowed to tighten crime laws and criminal punishments, especially after the shooting of New York City police officer Jonathan Diller.
However, the matter of Sheff G’s and Sleepy Hallow’s murder charges was not addressed. On stage, Trump complimented the rappers’ attire, including their bedazzled teeth.
“I got to get my teeth like that. I want that to happen to me,” Trump said in front of the crowd.
On stage, Sheff G, whose real name is Michael Williams, and Sleepy Hallow, whose real name is Tegan Chambers, expressed their support for Trump. The rappers greeted Trump casually, calling him “my man” before approaching the microphone.

Whether you’re a New York City native, a transplant, or just a two-day visitor to the sprawling metropolis, you’ve probably seen a struggling artist performing on the subway or a station platform. “Showtime, showtime, showtime!” street dancers often shout before flipping off the ceilings of the train cars and maneuvering around their poles. Going from “Showtime!” to stardom is rare, but Britanny Fousheé did give busking a shot, well before her 2022 breakout as the co-writer to one of the world’s biggest pop songs — Steve Lacy’s “Bad Habit.

Fredo Bang has released a high-energy music video for his newest single, “Bop.” In the clip, the rapper and his crew head to a strip club armed with hundreds of dollar bills as Bang spits, “I don’t dance in the club, I just bop.”
“Bop” comes off the Louisiana native’s latest release, Two-Face Bang 2, which arrived earlier this month via Def Jam Recordings. The 18-track mixtape — the title of which is a play on the name of Bang’s 2018 mixtape, 2 Face Bang — features appearances from Roddy Ricch, Ynw Melly,...

Music is a universal language. You don’t have to understand the lyrics to feel the joys, the heartbreaks, and the frustrations expressed in a melody. You don’t have to pinpoint musical styles to feel the nostalgia a beat can invoke. For the likes of Bratty in Mexico to Anatomy Rabbit in Thailand, the gentle exploration of love is a palpable and common through line. For Sleepy Hallow in Brooklyn and PinkPantheress in the UK, their nods to ’90s production and expansion of classic international genres, respectively, both hold...

Obviously, the summer of 2020 is not an ordinary season, and Spotify’s predictions for the Song of the Summer reflect that. There are songs like DaBaby’s “Rockstar” (feat. Roddy Ricch), Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” (feat. Beyoncé), “Tkn” by Rosalia (feat. Travis Scott) and “Watermelon Sugar” by Harry Styles, which was released in 2019 but continues to stream in high numbers.
But there are also many songs focused on supporting the Black community — some that dropped in the past few days, like Beyonce’s “Black Parade,” H.E.R.’s “I Can’t Breathe” and Lil Baby’s “The Bigger Picture,” and some that are a couple or a few years old, like “This Is America” by Childish Gambino and “Alright” by Kendrick Lamar.
In no particular order, here is Spotify’s list of predictions for Songs of the Summer 2020, which you can stream now in this playlist:
• “Rockstar” by DaBaby, feat.
