Dick Clark Productions said Thursday that it has hired Richard A. Pizante as its new SVP Production. The veteran producer, whose credits include co-executive producing on the first season of NBC’s The Voice and working on the Primetime Emmys, the BET Honors and the 2019 TV special Dolly Parton: 50 Years at the Opry, will be based out of Los Angeles and begin immediately.
In the new role, Pizante will run Dcp’s production department, overseeing physical production and protocols as well as budgeting of the company’s live events and other entertainment programming. He will report to Dcp COO and general counsel Michael Kohn.

On Wednesday, the Producers' Guild of America announced the TV and digital nominees for the 24th Annual Producers Guild Awards. The winners will be announced in a ceremony on January 26, 2013 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. HBO’s Game of Thrones, Showtime’s Homeland, CBS’ Big Bang Theory and FX’s Louie were among the nominees in the top categories for the annual Producers Guild of America awards.
