Deb Tod has been officially appointed BBC Studios Anz’s head of content sales and co-production.
Tod has been acting in the role role since January, following the retirement of Irene Read, former director of content sales. Her appointment comes after a review of the scope of the role.
In her new role, Tod will be responsible for the strategic and team leadership of BBC Studios’ content sales and co-productions in Australia and New Zealand, working across both broadcast and digital. As part of the international sales team, she will have input into global deals, content partnerships and co-productions and will be a core member of the Anz regional executive leadership team.
Television format sales come under the director of production Kylie Washington, while the development of new customer relationships and business opportunities comes under COO Fiona Lang, who leads the newly formed business development team.
