Peloton is out to prove that its proprietary exercise equipment can offer more than just a good workout. The media company just added YouTube TV to an Entertainment Hub that already includes streaming options like Netflix, Max, Disney+, and NBA League Pass.
The Entertainment Hub can be found on the home screens of Peloton’s stationary bikes, treadmills, and rowing machines. Users who log in with their streaming credentials can watch their favorite shows and movies while an overlay tracks their ongoing workout. The YouTube TV integration brings live TV into the mix by offering more than 100 channels to active viewers.
“Our partnership with YouTube TV is a continuation of our commitment to fitness anytime, anywhere,” said Peloton SVP of Music and Content Partnerships Gwen Bethel Riley. “We are empowering our Members to lean into what they love, like catching up on their favorite show or rooting for their home team,...

Netflix’s new competition series could’ve been called So You Think You Can Dance… Next to 100 Other People Who’ll Determine Your Longevity in This Show.
Dance 100, a 6-episode, hour-long show, was released today and pits eight choreographers against each other for an ultimate prize of $100,000. The set-up: Each week, the choreographers are assigned a song and a group of dancers who’ll perform one of their pieces in front of a live audience. The choreographers also dance during the performance. And ultimately, those dancers — along with the rest of the 100 professional dancers who make up the titular...

Ally Love already wears quite a few hats: Peloton instructor and global lead of instructor strategic initiatives, “Courtside Conversations” podcast host and producer, Adidas global ambassador, Brooklyn Nets in-arena host, model, “Love Squad” founder and CEO, to name a few. But the social media and dance personality has a new title – competitive game show host – to add to the list.
Love, a former Knicks City Dancer, is hosting Netflix’s “Dance 100,” where dancers get the power in a show that is looking for the best choreographer. Now streaming, the show spotlights eight choreographers competing for a $100,000 prize. The judges? A group of 100 dancers.
Hailing from Miami, Love now lives in New York City, where she graduated from Fordham University in partnership with the Ailey School for dance. Despite her earned status as a fitness guru with Peloton, Love’s younger self could never have imagined that title. Love spoke...

It’s perversely fitting that we’re kicking off this Dance 100 preview with a poorly timed step: As TVLine’s recent Zoom interview with Ally Love began, we couldn’t wait to talk about the Netflix competition’s painful first elimination with one of the few people who already knew the episode’s outcome. After all, Love — best known as a Peloton fitness instructor — hosts the upcoming show, so there was no way we could spoil her… right?
Well, yes. But when we mentioned the name of the first choreographer booted from the series, which premieres Friday, Love’s eyes got wide.

“Dance 100” is putting a fresh new spin on dance competitions.
Instead of dancing to the top spot, eight accomplished dancers who’ve danced for some major league performers will be flexing their skills to the title of the world’s best choreographer.
“‘Dance 100′ is an epic street dance competition showcasing eight accomplished dancers who are ready to prove they’re the next superstar choreographer,” explained Netflix. “Showcasing one hundred of the world’s best dancers, known as the Dance 100, the contestants must choreograph, teach and perform next-level group performances that will wow the judges, who, in a twist—are their own dancers.”

A new report indicates that Netflix is looking to get into the live streaming business. The beleaguered streaming giant, which suffered a staggering overnight loss of 54 billion last month, is early in development on a live streaming capability for its platform, per Deadline.
Live streaming would, for one thing, enable Netflix subscribers to vote on talent competitions, similar to what network TV viewers do with reality shows like "American Idol" and "Dancing with the Stars." One such show that Netflix has in the pipeline is "Dance 100," which hails from Studio Lambert, the production company behind "The Circle." Ally Love is set to host the series, which is...

Exclusive: Before the pandemic, Studio Lambert was set to bust out the moves and start production on a new dance competition series for Netflix.
Two years later, The Circle producer is restarting the choreography on Dance 100.
Ally Love, a Peloton instructor, host of the Brooklyn Nets and founder of Love Squad, is set to host the series, which will start production April 1 in London.
The series is a street dance competition designed to find the next superstar choreographer. Using 100 of the world’s best dancers — known as The Dance 100 — the eight contestants must create, choreograph, design and then perform in group dance numbers on an ever-growing and massive scale.
The Dance 100 will then determine who goes home each week. And with every contestant that’s eliminated, the number of dancers that the contestants must use grows bigger and therefore more challenging. In the end, the last two remaining contestants must...
