NBC has a new head of late night.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon producer Katie Hockmeyer has been elevated to executive vp late night programming at the network. She will oversee The Tonight Show, Late Night With Seth Meyers, Saturday Night Live and new entry A Little Late With Lilly Singh.
Hockmeyer will guide programming strategy for the four shows and act as network liaison for all parts of NBC's late-night business, reporting to NBC Entertainment co-chairmen George Cheeks and Paul Telegdy. She takes over late-night responsibilities from longtime NBC exec Doug Vaughan, who was head of special programs and late night.

NBC has announced the lineup for the upcoming Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and it promises to be huge. That isn't just a joke about the size of the balloons either, it's also in reference to their total number, the number of participants, and the performances that have been lined up. Looking at that last bit first, scheduled to appear during the parade this year are the likes of Idina Menzel, Meghan Trainor, Nick Jonas, Sting, Lucy Hale, the cast and Muppets of "Sesame Street," and Quvenzhané Wallis. Vaughan, based in New York, has been named senior vp special programs and alternative development at NBC Entertainment. NBC has restructured its specials programming area with expanded responsibilities for senior vp Craig Plestis, vp Doug Vaughan and USA Network's Libby Hansen. Plestis, the network's senior vp alternative programs and development, also will oversee specials on the West Coast as senior vp alternative programs, development and specials. Vaughan, vp special programs, news and entertainment, will oversee East Coast-based specials. His new title and responsibilities reflect his move from Burbank to New York about six months ago. He previously oversaw specials with Curt Sharp, who is no longer at NBC. For specials, Plestis and Vaughan both report to NBC Entertainment president Kevin Reilly.

NEW YORK -- NBC News added to its executive ranks Tuesday, announcing two additional vps to serve under president Steve Capus. Doug Vaughan, a former supervising producer of Today, will become vp in charge of longform programming and NBC News booking. He also will remain in charge of NBC Entertainment's special programming, a job he has had since 2002. Lloyd Siegel has been named vp news partnerships after having been director of news partnerships. During the past four years, Vaughan has been responsible for all creative aspects of NBC Entertainment's special programming, including Christmas in Rockefeller Center and specials starring Cher, Faith Hill and Jamie Foxx. He was senior entertainment and arts producer at Today from 1993-2000. He also has been a columnist at New York Newsday, editorial production manager at US Magazine and advertising production manager at the Village Voice. Siegel's job has been with promotional and editorial content for 200 NBC affiliates for the network newscasts and MSNBC. He also has been a reporter at two TV stations and a field producer in the NBC News Washington bureau.
