Hyderabad, Aug 14 (Ians) Badminton star P.V. Sindhu said on Sunday that she has been practicing mediation for a long time as it helps overcome stress.
“I have been practicing meditation for a long time and always felt a relief as I connected very well within through meditation,” she said while virtually participating in the concluding session of the International Rising With Kindness Youth Summit.
The three-day youth summit organised by Heartfulness came to an end on Sunday at Kanha Shanti Vanam, the headquarters of Heartfulness in the outskirts of Hyderabad.
“Meditation helps stress go off. I wish the youth don’t forget to take to meditation,” said Sindhu in her first public appearance after winning the gold medal at the recent Commonwealth Games 2022.

Featuring: Michael Pollan, Gunther Hauk, Vandana Shiva, Horst Kornberger, Jeffrey Smith, Raj Patel, Carlo Petrini and May Berenbaum
A documentary of mellifluous beauty and feeling, Taggart Siegel’s “Queen of the Sun” buzzes with what is wrong with man (corporate myopia, widespread pesticide use and a not-so-fine disregard for the interconnectedness of things) through the plight of the world’s honeybees. It’s a lovely production. Scrumptious to look at, informative and a spur to action, it presents commentary (some scientific, some poetic, some semi-apocalyptic) by a cast of wildly different apiarists (beekeepers) linked by one common goal: the reversal of colony collapse disorder, by which bees don’t return to the hive. At stake here is not just the possible unavailability of honey on your morning toast.
You connect with the piece on several levels. First, there’s dismay. At...

How has the Miff experience been for you?
Miff is the first Indian film festival that I have ever attended. My father Ray Ramayya too is a film maker. It’s the first time in two generations that a film from our family is being screened in India. Moreover, Miff is my chance to update myself with what is going on in the country.
