Paul, Daurio get 'Christmas' spirit for Uni, Donner
Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio have been tapped to write 12 Days of Christmas for Universal Pictures and producer Lauren Shuler Donner. The project, which was already set up at Universal, is being reconceived, and the writing duo has been tapped to give it an overhaul. Previously, Christmas revolved around Santa's reindeer but now is being geared to focus more on Santa's origin. It is being eyed as a Christmas franchise for the studio. At the studio, the project is being shepherded by Holly Bario. According to sources, Cinco and Daurio are receiving a sizable six-figure sum for the rewrite. It is not their first outing in the holiday business on the big screen. They teamed on the Christmas-themed The Santa Clause 2, starring Tim Allen, for Buena Vista Pictures. Their other credits include Bubble Boy, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, and Planet Terry for New Line Cinema. They are repped by the Gersh Agency, manager Linne Radmin and attorney Carlos Goodman.
