Painting and horror movies do occasionally meet and create something great. Recently Velvet Buzzsaw and Bliss have both been well received while covering the art world and blending it with some weird and twisted horror. Legend of the Muse tries to lead down a similar path.
We meet a painter, Adam (Riley Egan) who suddenly gets inspiration when he meets a ‘mythical and deadly spirit from Celtic lore who becomes his muse and lover’. His artwork starts to get noticed but the spirit brings along a whole host of other problems. Mainly that she murders people and leaves Adam to clear up the mess.

The hunt for the legendary Bigfoot continues to inspire filmmakers and storytellers and we’ve got a trailer for a new film for you to check out today called Hoax.
The film follows a team who travels “deep into the wilderness after a group of young campers are viciously murdered and linked to Bigfoot. The highly specialized crew search for evidence and fight to survive the powerful beast. If they work together they may live to prove the existence of bigfoot, but what they discover may be more unexpected and dangerous than anything they could have imagined.”
Bigfoot is out for blood, though, and primed to kill anyone who comes after him. The horror film actually looks like it could be pretty brutal. This could end up being a surprisingly good film!

Epic Pictures has unveiled an official trailer for the "this summer's biggest horror film" titled Hoax, another new bigfoot horror movie that looks quite gnarly. If they work together they may live to prove the existence of Bigfoot, but what they discover may be more unexpected & dangerous than anything they could've imagined. Scary. The main ensemble cast includes Adrienne Barbeau, Brian Thompson, Ben Browder, Cheryl Texiera, Shoshana Bush, Hutch Dano, Matt Reidy, Anthony Ray Parker, Christopher Soren Kelly, Ryan Lee, Max Decker, Brian Landis Folkins, Karen Slack, & Shawn Rickel. This actually looks surprisingly quite epic, like they're trying to pull off making Predator for Bigfoot on an indie budget. Director Joseph Albanese has come up with something sinister in his independent horror short Clemency. The independent horror review site Horror Society states of Clemency in a review "a tale of such intensity" (Horror). This tale is eighteen minutes long and introduces the "sadistic killer" Aruthur Poe to audiences, who receives a reprieve from prison after a Governor's intervention (Clemency). Shown at dozens of film festivals, Clemency's next stop is the Rainier Independent Film Festival in Washington State and from early reviews this is one show not to be missed!
The synopsis for Clemency here:
"Arthur Poe (Cris D’Annunzio) is a sadistic killer who likes to torture his victims. In 1993, he was captured and subsequently convicted by the state of Virginia for several gruesome murders. Poe received a sentence of death. Years later and days before his execution, the newly elected governor granted Poe clemency based on a...

What? You say this looks an awful lot like Fast & Furious? Shame on you! Hollywood doesn’t cheat! Hollywood doesn’t rip off! My goodness, how suspicious-minded you are! A high speed chase on the freeways of Los Angeles reveals a turf war between two competing car theft rings. Lieutenant Baynes (Steven Bauer) decides to send Baby Martinez, a young streetwise cop to infiltrate one of the all-girl crews controlled by Mama (Olivia Brown).
