The official trailer for the upcoming Sky Original, ‘Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything,’ has been released, ahead of the series coming to Sky Comedy and Now from 7 December.
Rosie Molloy (Sheridan Smith) is addicted to everything. Smoking, alcohol, Terry’s Chocolate Oranges, Xanax, Adderall, caffeine… the list goes on. After an embarrassing incident at her brother Joey’s wedding, she wakes up in hospital and decides to change her life by ‘giving up everything’. But as Rosie juggles her father’s ill health and the possibility of losing her job, she has the dawning realisation that her addictions are destroying everything – her friendships, her family and her work life. Harder still is the realisation that perhaps it isn’t the addictions that are the problem. If Rosie really does give up everything, will she still be Rosie?
The series is produced by Hartswood Films for Sky Studios. Written by Susan Nickson,...

The first Carry On movie in 25 years, Carry On Doctors, is to be released in cinemas as part of a revival of the long-running British comedy series, according to Variety.
The new instalment will be the first in a slate of new films, with producers hoping to recruit a fresh ensemble of homegrown talent to star in them. The debut instalment, not to be confused with 1968’s Carry On Doctor, will be written by Tim Dawson and Susan Nickson, best known as the writers of the BBC sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.

Plans are afoot for two new Carry On movies, the first of which will arrive 25 years after the last.
Carry On Columbus was, to date, the swansong of the series, released in 1992 to little fanfare and even less acclaim. Even the box office didn’t measure up, pretty much killing the series stone dead.
Well, until now. Production is due to start later this year on a pair of new Carry On films. There’s Carry On Doctors and Carry On Campus, neither of which will feature any of the original stars of the movies (Jim Dale and Barbara Windsor are amongst the surviving names).
Tim Dawson and Susan Nickson, the pair behind Two Pints Of Lager, are penning the screenplays. The idea is to give the series a fresh start, but to keep “the old cheekiness of the past films”. A Carry On Cinematic Universe (Cocu), perhaps?...

'Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps' has been cancelled. The BBC 3 sitcom - which helped to launch the career of Sheridan Smith - has been axed by bosses at the channel after a decade on air to give new writers a chance to pitch ideas, despite speculation a final series would be commissioned. BBC 3's Zai Bennett said: "BBC3 is all about giving new writers a chance to break into TV - it's what we did with creator Susan Nickson and many of the other writers on the show. "It's now time to give that chance to others. "I...

Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps has been axed after ten years. The long-running comedy series, which starred Will Mellor, will not be renewed as the BBC makes way for fresh content, The Mirror reports. BBC Three Controller Zai Bennett said: "BBC Three is all about giving new writers a chance. It's now time to give that chance to others. I want to thank the production team for creating a warm, cheeky and popular comedy." The show's creator Susan Nickson joked: "I've had a fantastic time for the last 50 years, but wholeheartedly believe it's right for us all to move on. "The crew, the fans, the actors and writers have become like family over the life (more)...

There are new faces in Runcorn as Susan Nickson's popular sitcom returns to BBC Three for a ninth series this spring.
18 year old Georgia Henshaw (who starred in Angus, Thongs And Perfect Snogging and played Jj's girlfriend in Skins) plays Cassie, a feisty young girl who has just been released from a juvenile detention centre, she's also Tim's sister, and although he'd rather like it if she left The Archer, her old school crush, Billy, is a regular, so there's no way she's going anywhere. Georgia (represented by Mark Jermin Management) will also be seen this year in two low-budget feature films - In the Dark Half and Seamonsters.
24 year old Freddie Hogan (represented by Mondi Associates) joins the cast as Billy. Wannabe footballer and metrosexual Billy works as a carer for Gaz, who has been left paralysed following his accident at the end of the last series.
Gaz is played by Will Mellor,...
