Gunpowder, Treason & Plot (2004)
GuY fawkes
I found This show Very entertaining, both episodes kept my attention. I liked How James VI Scotland was portrayed in this, as he wasn't a very pleasant man. Anne of Denmark was quite an interesting character in this. Guy Fawkes character at times can sometimes over shadow the man behind November 5th Robert Catesby. Maybe Catesby night would not of seemed to have the same ring to it if used, who knows.
The White Princess (2017)
History in Fiction
I enjoyed this overall, The drama gives a perspective a view point, on events in history, not facts. I loved Margaret Beaufort in this, well played, the dominant female. Elizabeth of York, is open to interpretation on what she was truly like,in reality we can guess, we can imagine there was allot of spirit in her.I do not know how much research the actors who played in this did into the characters they played. Be interesting to know HTTP://www.theghostswhostillwalktheearth.com/Elizabeth-of-York

The documentary was well expressed and easy to follow. I love documentaries that focus on this era.And this is one of my favorite's
13 Reasons Why (2017)
Does this show educate of entertain?
I think the show was good, however it would of been nice to give an alternative path than the ultimate (suicide) I have been suicidal and did attempt it, so I recognize how negative thinking can be like a disease that progresses on to going down the path ,of no return. A person with a vulnerable mind may be influenced by this show thus why I feel having alternative suggestions, before she made that final step in cutting her wrists. I could relate to thought giving life one last try, looking for signs to not give up. As when your in that mind state , you look from selfish point, , as your mind is not in healthy place. I think trouble is , does this show educate an audience to think and change, their approach to mental health issues, or does it just entertain.
As in life people can empathize with soap characters,in dramas& people in movies, yet when it comes to man next door, real life, with the same issues, its like their attitude and approach goes unaffected.
Lady Jane (1986)
lady Jane, victim of political ambition of others
I found this very enjoyable, and its refreshing to watch a character from Tudor history, that doesn't really get much attention, when it comes to history in fiction. Helena Bonham Carter , played this role well.
Lady Jane was well educated, and great granddaughter of Henry vii England, also great granddaughter of of Thomas grey,1st marquess of Dorset, a son to late queen consort Elizabeth Woodville, by her first marriageto John of Groby.
Very sad tale of young girl who was victim of others political ambitions. What I know of her mother, she was very strict. And was not named in the ,line of succession. Her mother being the daughter of Mary Tudor, (Henry VIII sister). Its fascinating how peoples lives in this era all intertwine with each other. Lady Jane at one stage was brought up in same household I believe as the young Elizabeth Ist,& and also was ward of Thomas Seymour.King Edward Vi uncle.whom himself was executed for treason, along same lines of political ambition. He set his devious eye on Young Elizabeth, and also on marrying Lady Jane toEdward Vi.
Its seems quite common thing in this era to set their sights quite high, to end up getting the chop. Good film.
The Tudors (2007)
History in fiction
I think this is a good way to introduce some one to Tudor history. I find the discrepancies, quite humour- us, however it is history in fiction, not a documentary. Natalie Dormer, I think played the role well as Anne Boleyn, and even though Jonathan looked nothing like Henry Viii, He did I feel play the part well, in respect to Henry's random mood swings. I think maybe they should just called it Henry VIII, as it focused on just Henry viii, than go on to Edward VI, Mary, or Elizabeth. Good cast, good as historical soap opera, as long as people remember not to quote what they watched in this show as factual history lol!
