The Homesman (2014)
Macabre Dark
The promise of this movie is Dark, Senseless and far from entertaining!
I watched this movie because I like Tommy Lee Jones. His acting is as always Tommy Lee! The man downstairs have to act he is always just himself. His performance was as usual very good!
Hiliary Swank is also a very good method Actress!
Always solid!
If you like Dark movies with a few goofs but with strong language and Macabre tones this is for you!
I found myself fast forwarding trying to get to the end to find out how it ended! Had to stop doing that to try to get some continuity to this SAD tale!
If I had had any indication of how it would end I surely would have stopped and called it quits!
Sad Tale with no redeeming values!
Just my view!
The Lincoln Lawyer (2022)
Good but could be better if...
I watched a few episodes of "Lincoln Lawer" And the story line and development, even though stretched out, worked quite well! True to the nature of the original movie yet different in a good way! Great story flow from incident to incident without loosing your attention while keeping you thinking about where the plot was going! Great character integration as they were introduced and character development into the story and series!
Now to the only part of this really good series that I don't care for! Some are going to say "Oh but that's reality"! I care more for content than reality when I'm wanting to be entertained: The free use of vulgarities! With this good of a series based off of a winning movie, DROP THE "F" bombs! That is degrading to moral senses!
Otherwise I would have given it ALL STARS!
White Lightning (1973)
Trivia
Matt Clark recreates his scene of "the settler" from "Jeremiah Johnson" in his garage, walking around carrying his shotgun, looking out windows and door. He again "fires his gun" when startled, in this case when Gator slams the door on him. Matt's name, Jeremiah "Dude" Watson!
The Pacific War in Color: Fire from the Sky (2018)
A welcomed Fathers Day gift!
At 13 min. of the feature about the battle for Leyte. It shows what appears to be APA-41, USS DuPage after being hit port side by a kamikaze! The APA-172 Cape Johnson is visible in foreground. These ships were at Leyte and the DuPage was hit portside 1-10-1945! My Father was injured in the attack, which ended his service.
Route 66: Trap at Cordova (1961)
In Retrospect.
Trapped at Cordova is the best 66 episode. Back then they had no idea how relevant this story would be today.

Soldier in the Rain (1963)
Great
Light hearted and simple.
Nothing hidden.
If you've ever been in the military you would enjoy.
Jackie Gleason, Tuesday Weld and Steve McQueen played their parts perfectly!
