Chernobyl (2019)
Riveting horror
Chernobyl has little to no narrative flaws that I can name from the top of my head. The writing is excellent, the directing is subline, and so is the acting. But what does Chernobyl do best? It's atmosphere. It's terrifying, really, what is dramatised for us. The cinematography is all Grey and dark , making a deeply disturbing feeling. You feel claustrophobic, afraid and shook while you watch everyone of the sofar 4 episodes. I can not wait for the finale.
Chernobyl rivals the quality of Breaking Bad, Fargo (1&2) and GoT. A superbly terrifying and well executed series that makes it scarier than most horror films because we know it happened before, and the horrors of Radiation sickness is nothing to snort at. I actually learn things from the show, from how truly devastating radiotion can be, to how a RMBK nuclear reactor works.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is how you make a true story captivating.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
The epitome of a Blockbuster and a beautiful gift to the fans
What else can I say? This picture is great. If I could, I would give it an 8.5/10, since there are flaws; no film has none, yet is a fun ride with humor, action, chills, and tragedy. Truly, a cinematic experience to remember.
Yet still, out of Infinty War, Endgame is less in one major way, which is the biggest flaw this film has: Thanos. While a terrifcily written and seemingly unstoppable villian in IW, Thanos in Endgame is...just less. He isn't as fleshed out, especially during the first act, as he was in IW, and he is almost disappointing. In fact, most of the first hour and maybe hour and a half are. While I enjoyed the first couple of hours, could've been better paced and a good ten minutes coulve been edited out. In other words, it was kinda slow.
As the second act ends, however, it goes from a tender 4 or 5 to a 12. It becomes the climax of not just one film, but 22, 11 years in the making. Without spoling, the final battle is amazing, cahotic and surprisingly violent for a Marvel Film.
All in all, this is a fantastic ending to a great and quite frankly revolutionary film series, and I guarantee you will at least shed one tear. It has its flaws, which are sadly charecter related, but they don't drag the film through the mud. At a three hour runtime with this many characters, it makes sense that the Russos couldn't do everything perfectly. All in all, this film gets a 85/100.
TIP: Don't sit through the entirety of credits, for there is no after scene, no thank you to the fans and no tribute to Sir Stan Lee, sadly. So don't waste your time and sit for 10 minutes.

Drive (2011)
This movie stuck with me
I saw this film once, on a very small screen on a- Not Netflix, about 1,5-2 years ago. Didn't really get it, but thought it was fine. The g o r e was what drew me msot at that time.
But the main themsong of the film, A Real Hero, has stuck with me. The Driver snapping completely in a elevator stuck with me. The girl quiet stares entices me. It was this summer I saw an analysis of it by Chris Stuckmann, and I began appreciate all details that show you how the Drivers world slowly begins to crumble. This is a character study, and a damn good one, at that.
I finally saw it again a week ago. It is now etched into my mind, and in my opinion, one of the great films of the 21st century. Gosling's terrifyingly quiet performance is mesmerizing, as long with all of the others in the cast. Refn unhinching visual storytelling and direction is breathtaking, not only one of the best films, but one of the best made, as well.
I want to watch this again, Only a week after. This movie is an experience, one you'll definitely remember
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
A great celebration with some flawe
If you want a critics opinion on this film, wait for Christ Stuckmann to post his, as he surely will. Or watch Jeremy Jahns' vid on this movie, who has apx the same level skills, though I put Stuckmann a tsd higher up there.
I mention this because I think most of the critics who watched this are retards who are never happy. They wanted this film to "expose" Mercury, but the truth is he was really private and the filmmakers respect this, but it isn't hollow as some say, Rami Malek IS Mercury in this film, and truly shines. He shows enough depth, emotion and flamboyance to sell himself as Mercury. Same for Gwilym Lee, who is frighteningly similar to Brian May. The rest of the cast is fine, but many are truly wasted, especially John Deacon, who in reality was "the secret weapon" for queen, and made some of their biggest hits. He has one scene where he has some importance, but nothing else. I understand that since May and Taylor were some heavy influencers for this movie, so I advice them to grow a pair and respect Deacon, as well if there is a reboot for this movie in the future, as there is with everything these days. ( I'm joking)
But, back to Malek, as he is m a g n i f i c a n t as he lip synchs, sings and acts like Mercury, especially during the amazing beat-per-beat recreation of Live Aid. I got Soo much chills watching this. And his is definitely the strongest part of this movie, and deserves every award he can get. His true performance and the musical recreations of their music, elevates this to one of the better movies of the year I have seen, followed by MI Fallout and the traumatizing Hereditary. Go watch it, as it will mostly satisfy you, except if you want a tad more character depth or a better John Deacon, then you'll probably leave a little dissatisfied
But I have one gripe surrounding this movie, and it isn't the movie. Its that people hate it for "straight-washing" Freddie, which I say f**k off to those. I mean, sure, it's a part of what made him famous and important, but it wasn't HIM alone, which is what people seem to think. He had a genuine relationship with Mary, and it was the true one he had in his life. I don't mean to offend LGBTQ people here, and if I did, I understand why you would be, but Mercury and you are more than your sexuality, and this movie showed this. It shouldnt be a reason to judge a person or a film, for that matter, so please don't consider those proper criticism but rather whiny children who are never happy.
Thank you.
