Bros (2022)
Billy's Catharsis
I enjoyed this movie. It felt like it was Eichner's actual life (good acting? Maybe.) What Bobby (and Billy) did not understand was that the "gayness" does not have to be front and center ALL THE TIME at the top of your lungs. That is what put Aaron off. Just too intense. It may be what is keeping audiences away. The ending with Billy (Bobby) singing to Aaron (actually a very good voice) had me welling up. Not so much from the song itself but the eye contact between them made me feel they were actually in love. Gay rom-coms are so rare we don't have much with which to compare. A new genre? I thought McFarlane was more impressive as an actor...Eichner seemed to just be playing himself.
The World Is Not Enough (1999)
A Pity
The worst screenplay of any Bond film. Contrived effects cannot make up for poor dialog. Brosnan is passable but the rest of the cast is uncharacteristically wooden. Ian Fleming would not be pleased with this mess.
The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008)
IMDB rating of 5.5 is a little high
The screenplay is mediocre at best. Connolly is passable. Reeves' patented robotic, emotionless portrayal is front and center. As for the political and military characters, the screenplay is at its worst...completely ridiculous and nonsensical.
Tajna Nikole Tesle (1980)
Wrong Title
The world would be well advised to know much more about Nikola Tesla
than they do. We had our chance to make the world a paradise but suspicion,
prejudice and greed stole it from us. I can not say if we deserve a second
chance in the event another such intellect should come along and pick up where
Nikola left off. There are too many in the world of the same mindset of the
despicable snakes J.P. Morgan and Edison.
P.S. IMDB put the wrong title on this thread.
It is NOT The Secret LIFE...it is The Secret...
For the People (2018)
A Hearty Welcome Back For ForThePeople
Blown away by the Season 2 Premiere. Stellar acting all around. Amazing writing. Highest marks for Paul William Davies. Aaron Sorkin is no longer the only writer worth watching.
