Family Affair: All Around the Town (1967)
"Maybe New York is a foreign country"
Can you imagine what it would be like if this episode was filmed today? (2023) Why the alley scene alone would have been a nightmare. The walls are covered in graffiti, homeless folks lining the path, and perhaps a n'er-do-well scallawag pedaling drugs, porn or worse. Oh and throw in human trafficking and Pedos everywhere; frightening.
The $20 bill in Buffy's hand would have been swiped within the hour of the kids' journey. And having a cop assigned to the case straightaway, fagitaboutit! Best case scenario would be an Amber Alert. Worst case is the precinct is inundated with high priority calls.
Then again, this could be any big town USA.
Afterlife! (2022)
What a load of crap
Conjecture, speculation, lies and heresay. New Age hogwash designed to distract us from the real source of truth, God's Word found in the Holy Bible.

"And as it is appointed onto men wants to die, but after this the judgment" Hebrews 9:27
New Age
"For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever they're itching ears want to hear they will reject the truth and chase after myths. 2 Timothy 4: 3-4

Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Sylvia (1958)
A bit odd indeed
Do my eyes deceive me, or is the obvious lack of age disparity make it difficult to move passed the faux pas in order to focus on the plot and possibly enjoy the episode?? Bit odd watching "daughter" wrap her arms around "daddy's" neck and stare lovingly into his eyes. Did Hitchcock really believe his audience would fall for the horrible casting? Well maybe the "it was a different time" crowd may have swallowed this bilge, but not this sap. I like a good thriller as much as the next person, but damn it man! Creepy is timeless.
And in the few remaining characters required to post this comment, what is up with his bland American English, and her Queen's English?
Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities: The Viewing (2022)
WTF did I just watch..or not watch?
39 minutes into a 45 minute slog, things start to pick up that caught my attention. Before that, I watched pane after pane of fast forward captions with zippo for entertainment value. Good thing Guillermo did not lead with this abysmal bleed.
It was almost like Panos said,"hey let's throw something up on the screen to see it if sticks"
And the ending!?! You have two crazed idiots driving mach speed from a creature that could barely muster three steps per minute. I was expecting the blob dude to mind blast them into red mist. But alas, they don't even crash, just spin out to a stop, while blob boy translocates via an aqueduct to Chicago?!?
Emergency NYC: Reset (2023)
Return of a hero
I was so very thankful, and encouraged to see Dr. Langer return to the operating room, and back to a quality of life in general. Apparently, his take away from the life learning experience is a positive one. He is grateful to be back full swing helping others. What a dream! Living out one's calling in the service of others.
I also enjoyed seeing the outpouring of love and admiration from those Dr. Langer leads. Bravo!
My hat is off to you sir. A job well done. Please continue being a gifted and talented man of science. And do please stick to the established snow skiing paths. And watch those head bumps. Wink.
Left Behind (2014)
Out of time
(Mock radio broadcast) ...keep coming in from all over the globe confirming it as true. To say the world is in shock this morning, would be to understate the situation. The events seem to have taken place at the same time all over the world about 25 minutes ago. Suddenly and without warning, literally thousands perhaps millions of people just disappeared...
#1
Why did you wait?
Why did you hesitate?
We tried to warn you,
Now you're out of time,
You chose your way,
Now you're gonna pay,
The party's over, and
You've been left behind,
We tried to show you God's love,
But you said I don't need,
We tried to help you to see,
You said He's not for me,
Chorus
Don't wait,
Like a thief in the night,
You better turn on your light,
He might come back tonight,
Don't wait,
Like a thief in the night,
You better turn up your light
He might come back tonight)
#2
Why do you run?
When God gave His only son,
So you might have everlasting life,
Before it's too late,
There a choice you got to make,
If you receive him,
You won't get left behind,
Let Jesus consume your fight, drink from the living well.
You will live forever, but if in heaven or hell,
Chorus
Don't wait,
Like a thief in the night,
You better turn on your light,
He might come back tonight,
Don't wait,
Like a thief in the night,
You better turn up your light
He might come back tonight)
Bridge
He's coming back; it's a matter of fact,
But we don't when; He's coming, again
We tried to show you God's love, but you said I don't need,
Chorus
Don't wait,
Like a thief in the night,
You better turn on your light,
He might come back tonight,
Don't wait,
Like a thief in the night,
You better turn up your light
He might come back tonight.

The Harrisville Haunting: The Real Conjuring House (2022)
Check out all the 10/10 ratings!
Sort of ironic don't ya think? Almost seems like someone copied and pasted under multiple temporary accounts. Sort of "Like" mimicking wouldn't you say? Gosh, I think even some of the titles are repeats.
Waste of time actually. I only gave a rating of four because of the creative and interesting intro. Other than that, just a bunch of grown boys using subjective terms such as "I felt" I sensed" "I thought I saw", but aside from the rocking chair which was no predictable as soon as we see the room's furniture, not much else to pique one's interest or give the neocortex (logic) pause for consideration.
Intervention: Diana (2012)
Where's the love Grandma!?!
If there is any one resonating theme throughout this soulful, yet gut wrenching program, it is the profound importance of love: love of family, love from friends and community. Loving a traumatized family member throughout the healing process, combined with rigid boundaries.
The Apostle Paul said it best, "Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud, or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice, but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.", and here is the clincher: " Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance"
Janet's (Diana's mother) letter left me cold and judging by Diana's face, the feeling is mutual. Epic fail! Hard heartedness is a choice.
Intervention: Sandra (2008)
Gut punch
I have watched every episode leading up to this one with varying degrees of emotional reaction, but controlled overall; whether I was frustrated with the enabling family and friends, or disappointed because the addict gave up. But I get it. The road to recovery is never an easy one.
But during this intervention, Jeff wisely played his Ace card with Dakota, and it was a gut punch. Mom's countenance transitioned from fear and trepidation, to abdication. Too bad her resolve in treatment did not carry her through sobriety post intervention in order to save the family.
It is my sincere hope and prayer Dakota did not take a verbal beating at school for his display of emotion, because that is how this hateful world is known.
M*A*S*H: Wheelers and Dealers (1981)
Beej the Drama Queen
So tired of these episodes with "Boo-hoo" Honeycutt, and his roller coaster moods. Suck it up Buttercup, you're not the only homesick G. I. Get a three day pass to Tokyo and get moon howling drunk, then come back to hell ready to Shut the **** up.
M*A*S*H: Blood Brothers (1981)
Bravo!
Not ashamed to admit it, this one brought tears to my eyes.
And how prophetic as it were for the like of someone so young and talented, as Patrick Swayze.
A Haunting on Dice Road: The Hell House (2016)
Wait...what?!?
Isn't the Eddie, crawling into the crawl space the same Eddie who fell off the ladder and "substantially" injure his knee earlier in the documentary? Yet when he prepares to enter the crawl space access, he shows no sign of favoring his knee. Come on! Smacking one's knee on concrete does not heal that fast.
Sharpe: Sharpe's Revenge (1997)
What are friend's for?
My esteem for Sharpe ebbed away in this episode. He may have re-gained his honor and good name, but lost the trust and confidence of a friend (Fredrickson); something far more valuable in war than a damsel's warm bed. Hence, in the letter of law with honor, Sharpe wins. But in the spirit of honor, he is a loser. A true Blue Falcon, a derogatory term substituting the dubious distinction "Buddy ******"
Sharpe: Sharpe's Gold (1995)
Looked better in fast forward
Started fast forwarding at the point where Ellie and here meddlesome mother joined the recovery mission. Just an episode to introduce another pretty face for Sharpe. Too much emphasis on love scenes and not enough character development with Sharpe's team. And what the hell is it deal with all these attachés to Wellington? This episode makes number three.
The Andy Griffith Show: Suppose Andy Gets Sick (1967)
Doctor Doctor
Hey! What became of the new doctor from S7 E15 A New Doctor in Town, with William Christopher?
The Andy Griffith Show: Opie's Group (1967)
The missing link
Forgive my knit-picking, but as a musician it is hard for me to overlook the obvious. But the "groovy" tunes The Sound Committee was laying down included a bass track, yet the front men, (er boys) were jamming on six string electric and acoustic guitars. It would have been nice for the director to show a bit more attention to detail so as to add realism with an electric bass, instead of amping an acoustic guitar for progressive music. But judging by the drummer's stick form, at least he hired a kid with a general knowledge of percussion.
And did anyone notice the kids dancing at the "gigs" vaguely resemble the cartoon characters in Charles Schultz' The Peanut's Christmas? You know the scene where the kids are dancing to Schroeder's hip sounds, when they should have been rehearsing? Aww come on Lucy! Lighten up!
Enterprise: The Communicator (2002)
So tired of these worn out story lines.
Now I see why this show only lasted four seasons. Boring!
The Andy Griffith Show: Andy's Old Girlfriend (1967)
Another episode of Helen's jealous streak?
Aren't we all getting just a bit tired of Helen and her insecurities? How many times does Andy have to pledge his love for her? I say ditch her and start courting Alice.
The Andy Griffith Show: Aunt Bee Learns to Drive (1966)
How far we have come.
They should have titled this episode Andy the Misogynist.
The Andy Griffith Show: Aunt Bee on TV (1965)
A true case of friendship - HA!
Clara, Myra and all the other busybody "harpies" are too narrow minded and self centered to appreciate the good fortune of someone else; someone altruistic enough to invest time and emotional energy into friendship. Too bad it was not Clara who left the show as opposed to Barney. And yes, I do not like Clara.
The Andy Griffith Show: The Hollywood Party (1965)
Helen Crump you have ice in your veins
Helen is extremely insecure in her relationship with Andy. This is not the only episode where Helen morphs into a sarcastic witch brought on by unfounded jealousy.
The Andy Griffith Show: Off to Hollywood (1965)
Kitchen door
Is it me or did the kitchen door move from the same wall as the sink is on, to the wall where the hutch is located?
The Andy Griffith Show: Andy's Rival (1965)
What was Helen thinking?
Completely inappropriate for a woman in a relationship to sit on the same side of the booth with another man. What an evil woman.
The Andy Griffith Show: The Song Festers (1964)
Two thumbs down on the choir director
What a coward, control freak. Has Andy do his dirty work. Doesn't have the courage to confront Barney.
Star Trek: Voyager: Juggernaut (1999)
Good belly laugh
I found the scene with Neelix in the galley, struggling with his Talaxian concoction quite humorous; especially during his second taste test with Chakotay looking on.
