Still in Hollywood, Andy is pressured into posing for publicity photos with the attractive actress Darlene Mason. It's all part of a public relations campaign but photos of Andy and Darlene makes the front page of the Mayberry Gazette and Helen Crump is none too pleased. When Andy calls her to say hello, but she lets him know just what she thinks of it all. Frustrated, he gives Darlene a call and they go out on a date. Feeling guilty about the call, Helen calls only to speak to Opie who tells her his Dad is over at Darlene Mason's apartment and would likely be home late. Written by garykmcd
