The Sarah Silverman Program. (2007)
Most of the jokes are juvenile and not funny
Most of the jokes revolve around poop and farting and potty humor, which makes me question the intelligence levels of the people who find it hilarious. Don't get me wrong, I've watched a LOT of the episodes so far and there is some actual humor and a few funnier episodes here and there, but overall something like Reno 911 is worth more of your time, despite it being an arguably more offensive show. The humor of this show is juvenile, which may be to highlight the immaturity of the main character, but it crosses the line into stupidity multiple times. The main character is one of those "quirky" girls that everyone puts up with but no one genuinely likes.
The Harper House: Bad Help (2021)
Nah
Insecure white guy begs black people for validation instead of treating them like equals. Black people proceed to tell him what to do with his house. Preachy episode written for 12 year olds.
Soylent Green (1973)
Awful
Poorly written movie, I have zero idea why it is rated so high. All of the characters are unsympathetic except for the old man. The main character gives out a straight up creepy vibe. There are misogynistic overtones (prostitution and calling women "furniture," for example), and a lot of pointless sexual filler scenes as is common with movies made in the 1970s and 1980s. Not to mention that Charlton Heston had aged terribly since The Ten Commandments so I only recognized him because of his voice. I watched The Blob (1958) after this and it was a significantly better movie. Watch The Blob instead.
La Frecuencia Kirlian (2017)
Reminds me of Welcome to Night Vale
I love this show but it's so incredibly similar to Welcome to Night Vale (the podcast) that I suspect it escaped from the alternate universe where it was their "Welcome to Night Vale."
The Game (1997)
The main character probably has PTSD now
The most unbelievable part of this movie is the part where the guy immediately returns to being completely fine after all the stuff they put him through.
Splice (2009)
It started out good...
The movie started out good. I liked it. Unfortunately the ending was complete crap. They never even tried to explain why all the female creatures they created turned into males. The sex scene between Dren and Clive didn't bother me one bit, but the rape scene at the end was crude and tasteless and, as far as I can tell, pointless. So, yeah, overall the movie was good, as long as you ignore the poorly thought out ending. Also it was kind of predictable that Dren was going to turn 'bad' and then be killed. A real plot twist in this case would've involved her NOT turning bad. The movie has great graphics and a very interesting concept that could've definitely taken it somewhere. But the ending basically sinks the whole movie. Unfortunately.
Spirit Trap (2005)
Better than expected
Okay, this movie wasn't THAT BAD. I've seen horror movies that were way worse. (The Black Dahlia Haunting, for instance. I have no idea how it managed a higher rating than this movie. If you ever have to choose between the two, choose this one.) There were a few "Wtf is going on?" moments, but nothing too bad. However, I personally wouldn't pay to watch it. It's just something entertaining to watch if you have nothing better to do. The reason I watched it was because it has Billie Piper in it. The acting was pretty good, which I was not expecting, due to the low rating here on IMDb. If you're a fan of Billie, you may as well watch it.
