Manifest (2018)
Such a great idea, so many clichés:(
I mean, I never seen such a huge stupid cliché collection in my life. Till episode 12, the only genuine-ish dialogue was Zeke's story, about himself and Chloe. Man... Such a great sci fi idea, and it is ruined by bad script and worse acting. :(
The Northman (2022)
Not only bad, it's very, very, very stupid
I mean, they should not let screenwriters, directors and costume designers take drugs, when they work. The legend of the plain stupid Hollywood movies are very much alive. They exist. I think historians who are crazy enough to watch this movie, are cutting their veins. Incredibly stupid.
Ava (2020)
Actually good
If I compare this movie with other hitman movies it is much more credible, the hero is not a super human with stainless still nervs, but a fragile woman who happens to be a good fighter and a killer. Yes, there are clichés and holes in the story, but even so, it's more realistic than most of the movies of this genre.
Szerelempatak (2013)
A beautiful masterpiece. It's a must see.
I spent the last seven days in this Transylvanian village, it is called Csikszentdomokos in Hungarian and Sandominic in Romanian. In our last evening our host told us about this documentary that was made in this village, and about the people who appear in the movie, who lives still and who died since. She told us also about the reactions in the village, the gossip, the talks, and it was generally very well taken by the locals, kind of made them proud. It is an absolute masterpiece of love and beauty but also a tribute to life itself. It was a joy to watch together with my wife (we've been married for 24 years) and thinking about our feelings for each other, our past and our future. It's a must see.
Salt (2010)
american secret service agents no better than security guards in a shopping mall?
According to this movie all american secret service agents are just as professional as security guards in a shopping mall. This is what you can understand watching this movie.
A wanted fugitive who presumably wants to kill the Russian president manages to get in a building with both the American and Russian presidents, armed with guns and explosives? It is just plain stupid. And CIA sucks at background checking their own agents? This movie is packed with action, but it is painfully unrealistic and stupid. I wanted to give a 5, but this is only a weak 4 for Angelina's sake.
The Operative (2019)
I actually liked the ending :)
It is well structured spy movie, small mistakes perhaps, but overall great story and surprise ending. ;) hey... not every movie got to end in a hollywoodian manner. :)
Chappie (2015)
Cool movie. Absolutely enjoyable.
It's refreshing, funny and also innocent. It's not Schindler's List, all right, but it is like a fairy tale with robots instead of princesses and wizards. I loved te story, the acting, the effects, it's well put together.
Angel Has Fallen (2019)
One of the dumbest movies ever
I am an action film lover, love thrillers too. I like movies about terrorism with mind twisting scripts and filled with quality action scenes. Like Traitor, or Vantage Point et. And this movie is dumb. Bad script, worse acting. Pure shame for Morgan Freeman to be involved in such a Hollywoodian garbage.
The Hustle (2019)
It is reasonably funny
I went to see the movie after reading all these negative reviews and I was expecting for a bad movie, and it was actually nice and funny. Both my wife and me liked it, and had a great time.
The Intern (2015)
Beautiful movie
Perfect in every way. Sweet, innocent, funny, great acting, really loved it. I recommend it for everybody who cares for a good laugh and some heart opening moments.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
Disapointed
I'm a Marvel and Spiderman fan, but this movie was actually borring. Ratings of 10 are just as wrong as the many 1's. This is an objective 6. And I'm angry that I was fooled to watch it.
What Men Want (2019)
Had no expectation - it was a pleasent surprise
Since the crazy "revolution" against A dog's purpose, I haven't seen a movie attacked with such an energy by reviewers. I really don't get the marks under 6. This not a Chaplin movie, nor Schindlers List, but it's a cute and sometimes spicy comedy and that's all. We saw it today with my wife, we are a simple midlife couple, and we enjoyed it and we laughed and had a good time. It certainly doesn't deserve a 10 out of ten, I'm just trying to balance the haters marks. It really should be a 6-6,2 score, it is an enjoyable and funny movie.
PS
I remember, that A dog's purpose had in 2017 arround 3.5 score on imdb. Now it is at 7.0. I'm curious this movie where will it be in 2 years. 6-6.5 would be fair.
The Next Three Days (2010)
Great thriller
I love thrillers, prison related movies, characters who outsmart the system. And I also love Toyota Prius, which is presented thoroughly in this movie. I read reviews with lower points for the film, and I've decided to watch Pour Elle, but I do think that 8 is fair for this film.
American Assassin (2017)
Greatest collection of stupid Hollywood cliches ever
This is such a stupid movie, that I had to watch a really good action movie after this - Leon the professional), because this incredibly stupid movie p1ss3d me off and I had to wash the garbage out of my brain. The only reason that I don't give a 1 is the fact that at the end the bomb explodes and a few ships get damaged. Maaaan... Mister director, are you for real??? This movie could be made in Bollywood, only the dancing scenes and the stupid side movements of the heads were missing.
Annihilation (2018)
great science fiction movie, also a tough one
Beautiful movie, great sci fi idea. Not recommended for people without a solid and quality sci-fi background.
Captain Phillips (2013)
Great movie!
Finally a great thriller without hollywoodian cliches. It's a fantastic movie!
