Production is amazing making the pretty usual/common story amazing too.
8 January 2023
Family, friendship, support, rejection, motherhood, fatherhood and unity. When I say these words and you know its about a movie you might scuff and think "Wow, its not like there have been a million movies about these topics" ironically and you would be right. But in the end, these topics are very important, its just that we are saturated with them that we can't feel the taste of the emotions from these topics/feelings.

The production, effects, acting and the storytelling in Avatar 2 makes you feel and relive those topics and emotions in its full once again. The story is not new, its not terribly unique at all but it tells a many times told story in a way that makes the viewer remember how important and beautiful these things actually are.

Snabba Cash (2021– )

This means alot for someone who grew up in these areas.
2 November 2022
First off, I need to say to those who watched it from outside of Sweden; This is not how bad it is in Sweden. Just the shootings in this show would account for like 80-90% of all shootings in Sweden per year.

So, with that out of the way, I must point out that it still, with some purposeful exaggeration really shows how the life in the suburbs and immigrant heavy areas are like. How the youth are brainwashed by others to commit crime, how they are fooled to doing criminal work etc.

The actors keep shocking me, not the full fledged ones but the unkowns that are the criminal kids. They seem so random but I am shocked at how good acting skills almost all of them has. Really sells the vibe of how it actually can be in these areas.

It does an excellent job at pointing out how society has failed with these youths. How innocent kids and people gets shot. How most of these kids go into it just because they idolize this criminal life and being tough. How most of these kids get prisoned, killed or hurt because of unbelievably trivial things.

There is clear hints in the series that point to the hopelessness in this life that the criminals themselves can't ignore.

Honestly, in the end of season 2, there is NO winners in these series. Leya (Evin Ahmed) who is the main protagonist in the series included.

I believe the story was developed to talk to these kids in real life. To question their ways and see how trivial these goals are.

When it comes to the story, its fine, its exaggerated but in a "thats ok, or else it wouldn't be fun to watch" kind of way.

But like I said, it gives a whole nother feeling to someone who lives in Stockholm because they keep being in key areas around the city that makes you feel way more engaged.

The big plot hole that is in the whole Predator franchise.
11 August 2022
Isnt the objective for the predators to like, go around, challenge themselves by killing hard targets.

How is it a challenge when you have cameo, laser, a shield that cuts through literal stone, medkit who literally makes your wounds go wolverine healing.

This has been the main problem ive had with this franchise. How is it a challenge?

In the first movie, this was adressed through reasonable action. After that. Its just moronic and it goes to say in this too.

"I am so predatory and strong, look how I can kill this lion from 200 meters away with a gun"

The Boys: The Instant White-Hot Wild (2022)
Season 3, Episode 8
3/10
This is where I realized Amazon decided to make this show a cash grab, dissapointmentt.
15 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Wow, I was expecting someone to at least get some permanent damage on anyone but everything just became a mess and the only person who started to get intresting, Noir got killed for nothing. Wouldve meant something if SB and him fought and he died or something. Oh yeah, and butcher is dying. Literally nothing bad happened to the Vought except homelander getting an ear puncture.

Then its Butcher stopping soldier boy from making Homelander and Ryan normal. He wasnt going to kill them so it makes no sense he stopped him.

And now we also have Ryan who is becoming like h is dad the psycopath who smiled at Homelander blowing a head up and the Homelander supporters cheering him on.

Like wth is happening. Nothing literally happened in the whole season except Homelander getting more leg room and can kill and by a psycho openly.

Vought won every battle and everything every single time and Butcher is dying.

I still felt like giving this a chance, it was going somewhere but this episode left me immensely dissapointed. Back to literally season 1 episode 1. They wont ever kill off Homelander until the show is rotted and done in my opinion. Would be so cool to see him one season powerless.

The ambience/size is everything in Matrix
6 April 2022
When I first heard of this movie being produced I was excited, then I saw the trailer and got less excited and when the day came to see the movie I was not excited at all.

I dont know if thats the case but it felt very fastly made. I didn't see any thought, scenery, grandeur etc that was in the original Trilogy at all in this one.

But honestly, I think the biggest problem can be summed up in one word, ambience. The original trilogy gave such a perfect feeling of reality and matrix. You really felt the difference. But it wasnt just the difference between the two worlds. It was the ambience of the two worlds themselves.

Lets take the real world, it honestly felt more like a feel good sci-fi movie with so much smaller sets or at the least, sets were even Io felt tiny and recorded in a tiny studio. With so few important characters. This wasnt the feeling even in the hated revolutions.

The size, the feeling, everything is gone. The big crowds, the many important figures in Zion and so on.

Then we have the Matrix. I get that making the real world properly sizeable mightve been a budget issue but the matrix felt real.

I know its the fact that its made as a refreshed newer version of the old matrix but Neil Patrick was doing a comedy bit. Smith wasnt menacing at all and all in all, the matrix honestly didnt feel simulated at all.

And oh my god, the swarm function, such a cheap way to solve the issues.

The story was fine, just everything around it felt not accomplished, maybe it was the budget, maybe it was "following the trend" and make it less dark/green as in the Original trilogy but it was just ok and didnt give any other feeling that thinking this was a fast project to get some money.

Some laughs but the magic is gone
2 January 2022
Watching this I cant help but think Cem only did this for a fast cash grab. Ive watched his other shows several times over and over and they are hilarious. He engages with the crowd, improvs jokes on the spot.

But this.. I don't know if its the limited time of 1.5 hours, he usually has double that. He never gets that laugh he did before, he doesn't feel as engaged or into it himself.

Its like I said, something he just did just because everyone does a show on Netflix and probably got a pretty good paycheck out of it. I don't mind that, its just, when you know he has the potential and this is what you get. Its pretty obvious he isn't doing his best. Or maybe the magic is just gone.

Worst thing Ive seen in a long time, especially from BBC
20 May 2019
What the hell is wrong with people releasing something like this, I just need to point out one thing. A meteorite is falling behind a kid and the kid is just watching it from a train leaving the city like nothing is happening. Its not about acting, reaction of people are so unbelievable unreal that it makes this thing even more terrible then it is. A tsunami higher then most buildings in Manhattan sweeps down the streets and a guy in a car just watches it and is like wooow thats big.

I don't know whats the point of writing a review for this movie
27 April 2019
This is one of those rare movies that it seems pointless to write a review because its so good. In fact its so good finding something to criticize here will only make you look petty.

Venom (2018)
8/10
I do get the bad reviews but they are still wrong.
26 December 2018
As many fans of this movies knows, it got not so good reviews from critics all over. I couldnt make sense of it until I watched it. It is a good movie but its not Avengers big or Justice League big. Even Spiderman is, by its nature more anticipated then the side character like Venom and there Lies the problem, I just think people were expecting another Billion dollar project like Avengers and all the DC movies.

And its not even the the budget, even Justice League, who was not received good (rightly so) was still way more anticipated just because of all the characters. In Venom, there is basically one character, Venom and the bad guy (no spoilers).

So keeping all of this in mind, Venom is a Good movie. It is not a masterwork but with what it has, its good. Its witty, fun and serious at times. You get to start to care about the bond between Venom and Brock and it lays out a good foundation for future movies.

The critics are just reading into it, dont care about them.

Frustatingly stupid conclusion to the Cloverfield story.
5 February 2018
I noticed this movie in Netflix and I thought I might give it a try being one of the people who actually was intrigued with the cloverfield story. First off, its starts confusing. Its supposed to explain the Cloverfield story but at first it seems like the story is not even playing in the real (our) world. Its an earth that seems like its in the future because there is this Satellite that tries to create Fusion/Unlimited energy. What makes it utterly stupid is the fact that the only explanation you get for the Cloverfield monster is a news report in the movie hinting that whatever the satellite is doing to create unlimited energy will collide dimensions and he literally says "Monsters, demons, BEASTS FROM THE SEA" might come into our reality. So if we go back to the setting of the movie with the humongous satellite trying to create fusion energy we fastly realize that this "explanation" of a movie fails miserably by implying that the Cloverfield movie was not even playing out in our world. What makes that frustrating is that whatever made the Cloverfield movie watchable was the fact that it happened in "our world" this movie throws that notion out the window and it doesnt even stop there. There are so HUGE inconsistencies with the Cloverfield story that this doesnt feel like anything else then something thrown together at the last second to generate some extra cash. It literally doesnt answer ANYTHING still and the little events we get to see that happens down at earth just confuses me even more when I think about how it doesnt fit in with the story from Cloverfield. The last scene which Im not going to mention to not spoil anything will make you do your biggest facepalm and say: "Well, this movie confused me even more".

You think its abit too goofy in the beginning but man does it get good
3 November 2017
Thor Ragnarok wasn't a movie I was excited to see as much as I did with the first Avenger Movie or the First Thor movie but I realized, thats not because the movies getting bad in this series, its just that they managed to keep the bar high since the first Avengers movie in this whole Universe (with some shakes here and there). It starts of abit to goofy for a Thor movie, yes we are used to that from Guardians of the Galaxy but having that from the beginning with Thors accent and the Royal seriousness that we say in the other Thor movies it first feels awkward and out of place but somehow, fastly, it settles in to the story and you start thinking, maybe Thor was even abit too serious until now. The jokes and the humour feels natural and real. The story is not essential for the bigger plot of the movies in this Avenger Universe Series but its still amazing nonetheless. Like I said, Im not a critic but I would give you the advice of watching this in the cinema because of the huge monsters, huge fights, the awesome music and the emotional moments sprinkled here and there.

An unbelievably unsatisfying conclusion to Prometheus but still OK as an classic Alien movi
8 August 2017
When I went into the cinema, I was happy and excited. Excited because I was finally going to see what the Engineers and life on earth, that was the main topic in Prometheus, would be explained. To my dismay, it didn't explain anything. What might count as a conclusion to the Prometheus story in Covenant is nothing more then mere minutes, nothing about who the engineers are, what they are, what they do, how their society functions, nothing at all. Just some "flash-back" story the Android tells when he came to the engineer planet. Even though it could go into the category of being a decent Alien sequel the fact that i left the cinema utterly frustrated was that it was merely a conclusion, it was just another boring Alien sequel/Horror movie that only showed the classical idiotic decisions made one after the other as in any other horror movie. Just to get the story go along of course, because if anyone in this movie acted as they were portrayed which is an Elite Space Travelling group especially trained for years and years and years for a special multi trillion colonizing attempt they wouldn't make any of the idiotic decisions that makes you want to yell at the screen in pure frustration. All in all, don't go watch this movie expecting a good explanation and conclusion to the Prometheus story and the Engineers history. You wont get anything like that, instead, you will just get another Alien movie with a very boring revelations to how the Xenomorphs where created (and guess what, it literally had nothing to do with the Engineers)

First one was just a snip better then this one.
27 February 2017
Just watched the movie in the cinema and as no professional reviewer I must say. It was amazing. That was not just it though, the scenes are completely brilliant. Keanus dedication to the art and how amazingly uncut it is filmed makes it even more amazing. We are tainted today with movies that have like 20 cuts in a 20 second fight scene. What stood out most with John Wick 2 was that there was barely any cuts, Keanus months of training before as prep for the movie really showed itself. And if we put the action to the side and see the story it first seems like its going to be something simple but turns out to something beautifully complex building up a possibility for a JW3. The only reason I gave it a 9 out of 10 is that JW1 was a ten. JW1 only had the upper hand of originality/being first, that's it.

It looks nice but the plot holes are big as black holes.
11 December 2016
First off, I would like to say, the movie looked very interesting. It was pretty to watch and well done but that was about it. I also want to specially point out how horrible acting actor Asa Butterfield did playing Jake. I mean, when he needed to show emotion it was like a youtube video actor without any previous emotional actor training. The story started off good with some sciency stuff explaining it til the Jake came across the home for Peculiar children. I get the fact that it is still a fantasyish and I know how Tim Burtons movies are most of the time but the plot holes here was soo big and so frustrating they were not ignorable. I mean the movie starts off, like I said, trying to explain the powers of the kids which gets you interested but towards the middle they just completely give up on explaining them and everything is more fantasy then Harry Potter. I wouldn't mind fantasy if you didn't sell it as a interesting sci-fi superpower movie. However, the children has some amazing powers and their enemies are obviously inferior to their powers but still, infuriatingly for example, a kid that is strong as an elephant wont fight because she is a kid, Miss Peregrine wont go back in time (her power) to get everything better. Towards the end there a couple battles and for a lack of a better word are utterly childish with stupid solutions and IDIOTIC conclusions. This movie had amazing potential but screwed up with its plot holes and inconsistensy in its storyline.

Nothing goes logically in this movie, I wonder if the director researched anything!
31 October 2016
Nothing is logical in this movie. It starts off with a guy waking up in a little probe. I wont say anything more about it then the fact that this guy is a Astronaout sent to space by Britain and gets lost. One would assume some genius and some logic in how they take care of this right? Britain, Astronaout, Russians (helps out abit) but somehow the conversation in this movie is like 3 20 year old talking over the phone when one is lost and the other two is trying to describe the directions without a GPS present. You wouldn't guess its a Astronaout talking to the space center of one of the most sophisticated techonological countries of the time. He doesn't even know how to change two circuits and gets stressed over everything. Don't they get years of training on how to handle this stuff, stress and technological problems? They've tried out something like Gravity but failed miserably because even though the guy can act the storytelling is amazingly bad.

First in its Genre and it already set the bar way too high!
29 July 2016
Simple, this movie was amazing. I had huge doubts about how it would be too watch a movie like this, even though its new I was guessing it would be nausea inducing like Cloverfield and other "amateur cam" movies but I was pleasantly surprised. I am not a person that usually gets excited by action movies but this one with its VR, where you see everything from Henrys perspective made my heart race a lot and the fight/gunfight scenes was more then amazing. Another thing that I really enjoyed about the movie was the amazing soundtrack placement, the music was so well played into the song, from the harmonic sounds you hear when he sees his wife til the amazing cuts of music during the fights, cant say too much because don't want to spoil it. Good CGI, Good Music and an amazing use of First Person Shooting mix with decent acting put the bar way to high for upcoming "FPS" movies in the future but that's something good.

Scare PewDiePie (2016–2017)

Watchable but way too transparent
7 March 2016
I will only say, yes, it is fun to watch but its not way more fun then PewDiePies normal gameplaying videos. I wont say review anything stupid like storyline because that is not important here so I will only talk about the production. I actually liked the first episode til I saw that in some cases, there wasn't even a roof in the "sceneries" he went into. It was a studio which I get, yes, even though it wouldn't be hard to fit a warehouse with these things which they, kind off do later on the show, I get the fact that it might be in a studio but still, with that good sceneries, they could've made it feel better. But small things like this make you watch the show, not with a mind thinking "wow, thats so authentic" and neither thinking "this is soooo fake" but rather find yourself wondering how authentic it is, watching the show thinking "hmm, was this a genuine reaction, it seemed that way, is he still convinced its real or has he realized the "show" has started because that reaction felt fake?" or "Does he now this act is real or fake". I give it a 6 because it is fun nonetheless but has a lot of room for development. Maybe season 2?

Amazing movie both for parents and kids
16 February 2016
Before I started this movie I knew that it would be a psychologically well thought movie because it described the human mind so perfectly that it is right now used in Psychotherapy sessions. With that in mind I watched through the whole movie and the thought that was put into it was amazing. Everything happened for a reason. I would never say this is just a movie for kids. Yes kids will love it but many times the kids wont even comprehend the level of detail and thought that was put into the movie. The production is normal though, nothing special about the effects more then todays Animation movies but still an amazing script and an amazing story which actually is pretty simple but still gives a funny and a new look into a humans mind with a lot of comedy that both parents and kids will laugh at.

Everything a Deadpool fan was expecting AND MORE!
16 February 2016
I cant without a doubt say that this might be the funniest movie I've watched. The comedy is amazing and not for the fans but for everyone not even knowing who deadpool is and for those who knows deadpool. I don't think the comedy could be more fitting and awesome. As everyone keeps saying, Ryan Reynolds was perfect for this role and after Wolverines movies disaster of a deadpool. This was just amazing. I've known Deadpool from before and I know what type of comedy and personality he and his stories have. DeadPool has a very unique personality, not like Wolverines anger or Xaviers deep voice with cool headedness. His style is very unique and very challenging to live up to, what with the creative jokes and comedy but I cant believe how this movie might even brought that up even one more lever. Its not that "huge blowing multitrillion dollar Airships and cities" kind off SuperHero movie but more a movie that is more down to earth with a huge twist in it called DeadPool who keeps making fun of his and others franchise all the time by doing what he does most: Braking the fourth wall. I would deeply recommend ANYONE to watch this movie and especially for those who know who DeadPool is.

Not your average cowboy action flick
27 January 2016
I didn't know the movie had a low budget til I saw the IMDb page and I wouldn't have guessed. Granted for the scenery a lot money weren't needed but it looked way better then it was "payed for". It starts off with an action sequence and continues with relatively no action til the last 10 percent of the movie. But don't let that fool you, the dialogue builds very interesting characters and the comedy pops up here and there. The actors are amazing which makes the movie even more enjoyable even though the well made action is kept to the minimum. I wouldn't recommend this to watch with your friends on a late night to see some gory action but if you're not looking for that and actually want to enjoy the Western atmosphere, cowboys and some really well made action and gore. This movie is perfect.

Visually Amazing, Storywise not perfect.
27 January 2016
Im not in the generation that watched the old Mad Max movies but I watched this one. I usually love a good story in the movie but this one didn't have it. It definitely had a red thread and you don't get bored but you keep wondering if there is going to be "something bigger" all the time and it doesn't. Anyway, to the good part, the movie is visually astounding and it is amazingly well done. The few effects, the cars, the gritty dark feeling. It really makes you feel like you are in a post apocalyptic world and the actors professionality just makes it go home perfectly. Perfect for a late night watch if you don't want to waste time on story but rather want to see nice and awesome atmosphere and action

I understand the hate but its still completely watchable
22 December 2015
I loved the hit-man movies, they are amazing and I play all of them. I know in every way how this movie couldn't and wouldn't respect the things that are essential for making a perfect Hit-man experience. If your looking for a Hit-man game like experience with sneaking and planning. Don't expect it. But its a an OK Action movie. The pasing is good, it was fun at points. And as I said, It is definitely not a perfect action movie, it was just OK. Perfect for a late night watch and I would definitely not call it a waste of time. I don't know what to say more then that, if you're looking for a short review to see before you watch to movie if its worth it. Ill tell you its worth it.

Felt like a lost opportunity, still good.
19 December 2015
I think the best though that the writers had is, MORE BAD MORE EVIL. The movie was good in a way that most movies gets good when they are so invested in. I wasn't disappointed in that aspect. It wasn't wasted money but being a sequel to a classic I really didn't enjoy what it became. It was too similar the old one, theme parks, forests, trapped in cars. Honestly I got abit excited to the end but that was it. Nonetheless, the movie is watchable and I would recommend it but don't expect something way better then the ones before. Its just a good movie with a huge budget. You probably wont get bored but you wont be amazed with what happened either. No revolutionary evolving ideas here.

Few movies made me feel uneasy and disturbed like this
19 December 2015
There are few movies out there that makes me uneasy and disturbed when I watch them. Not In a "OUCH THAT HURT" way but more like feeling the atmosphere, the surrounding, the pain, everything while seeing the scene. The movie itself starts off normal, it goes normal but then all of a sudden it gets a turn you would never expect leading to stories you wouldn't ever expect. If you ever want to disturb your friends with a REAL horror movie, I strongly suggest this one.The violence is so well made and recorded that it just doesn't give blood and slash but also the feeling. The amazing thing is that it is not just stupid horror that most horror movies are but the twist that the movie gives, gives an amazing explanation to why everything happens as it does and it actually gives of an amazing explanation that makes you wonder for more then a couple of minutes. Yes, it might seem too far fetched and boring in places but its just about surviving til the end and you will definitely think its worth it.

A less claustrophobic and way better Apollo 13.
19 December 2015
I like these kinds off movies, space, technology but I also love how dedicated and real they keep it. This movie gave all of those. I've seen Apollo 13 and at first I thought it might be something similar but oh was I wrong. This one blew Apollo 13 away. There isn't anything actually complex to say about the plot. Its filled with made up solution and problems but they feel real. They feel problematic and even though some problems might be solved in very stupid/lucky ways. Most of the problems have a scientific and honestly, satisfying explanation. They don't take the time to go into the science too much but they are still very respectful too it. Everything seems very well thought about and every small detail is put in. The main feeling I had in this movie was, If this actually happened. This might be the solution. Familiar solutions to introduced problems that are not way too over the top and when they are explained in a way that makes you realize they just don't put big words and complexity just so you will loose the loop and don't care if its real anymore just because "yeah well, they said something about a hypersonic transistor, thats going to solve it probably." Its more like they literally put themselves in the situation and made a movie about how they would solve it. The pacing, the atmosphere, all of it. I liked it.
