Strong for a Norwegian production
17 December 2022
Let's just get this out of the way: This is not a Hollywood production. It's not going to have the same quality as most A-list movies. However, for a Norwegian production it exceeded my expectations.

Sure, some of the dialog is pretty bad, and the plot is sometimes kind of 'meh' but I thought the visual effects were top notch, the military effects were incredibly realistic and the implementation of the movie into the Norwegian scene was outstanding.

It's very far from perfect, but it's also in my opinion far from horrible. Again, for a Norwegian production. The movie is currently breaking several Netflix watchtime records for an international feature and I like to think it's for a reason.

Worth a watch
29 July 2022
I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews, but the overall rating should speak for itself.

I found this to be surprisingly good for a Norwegian production. Is it the same quality you'd see over seas? Surely not, but I would still recommend it.

We love Kenobi... But
30 May 2022
Stop trying to push the race agenda. The black lady with anger issues is so obviously being pushed into the spotlight without adding ANYTHING to the series. All the badassness and ridiculous parkour is making a fool out of the actor, writers and director while trying to create a "Strong female black character"

You're making it too obvious. This is star wars, not some political platform. Give us back Jon Favreau.

Wtf is Beyoncé doing here
11 March 2020
Nice CGI, mediocre remake, but not the movie we grew up with.

Hat off for getting James Earl Jones, but giving the role of Scar to Chiwetel Ejiofor didn't do it for me. Jeremy Irons owns that role, and the song "Be prepared" with it.

And what the frick is Beyoncé doing in this movie? She speaks her lines, but she doesn't act them. It shows so clearly.

Cohen proving his worth
8 September 2019
I wasn't expecting much from this coming from the man who provided us with movies like Borat and Brüno. Dont get me wrong, his former comedic movies were to me great pieces of entertaining satire, but you couldn't really take any of it seriously. However in this, Baron Cohen really proves his worth as a serious actor. His performance in this makes it clear that he's the right man for the part. Recommended

Everything is just wrong. So many details that just don't make sense. Bad CGI everywhere. It's just not worth it.

I don't care about the crying fanboys, I loved it.
4 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Spiderman is back with a new face, a new suit and a whole lot of new problems. Finally, we received what we cried out for. Spidermans REAL introduction to the Avengers universe.

At first I was very skeptical to the fact that Tom Holland was to become the new Spiderman, but after a brief taste of his character in Civil War(2016) I decided to give him a shot, of which he passed.

The build-up of the movie itself is very similar to the previous movies, with a backstory of the villain that keeps evolving into something personal. But this time, not only does the villain have the high tech equipment, so does our hero (Thanks to a certain genius billionaire playboy and philanthropist)

Not surprisingly does Tony Stark appears several times in the movie, but just enough to not steal the show entirely.

Overall it's a good addition to the marvel series, more specifically the Avengers bundle. I don't really understand a lot of the criticism coming from the fanboys, and I recommend everyone who's a fan of the movies to give it a watch.

Better than I thought but not great.
29 August 2016
I remember the hype around The Twilight saga back in the days when I went to school and everything the girls talked about were these movies. After a short summary from one of my friends I soon made up my mind that this wasn't something for me, and I left it alone.

it's 2016 now, and I stumbled upon the 4 movies on a streaming service I subscribe to, thinking; "It's the middle of the night and I'm bored" so I gave it a chance, and it var OK. Nothing more nothing less. I figured that since I didn't have anything better to do I could see what all the hype had been about.

The story is pretty straight forward. Girl moves away, girl meets boy, boy is a vampire. That's it. At least in the first movie. The story escalates allot throughout the movies and several conflicts appear.

As for the actors; It all pretty much starts out as a typical late-teen movie, with mostly young protagonists. Robert Pattison and Kristen Steward (Taylor Lautner as well) has gotten allot of mocking for doing these movies and somehow I kinda agree but disagree at the same time. They did alright, but nothing worth an Oscar either. It seems to me that the actors grew allot while filming the movies and I look forward to seeing some of them in other, more mature movies. Steward especially.

All in all the movies were OK, I won't likely watch them again, but I wouldn't kill myself either If I was to watch them in the company of others.

I'd give the saga as a whole a 5.5.

Last Knights (2015)

More than watchable
1 October 2015
The first thing you look at when you consider to watch a movie are usually the actors.

Clive Owen, Morgan Freeman and upcoming Norwegian actor Aksel Hennie(Known from 'The Martian', 'Hercules' and 'Headhunters') are some of the actors this movie can offer.

As for the story. It's not the deepest story, but in this movie I feel that it's not rally necessary. The movie is a typical knight movie with some factors of the Asian samurai (But it works) and is ended with an epic battle no man can dare say is boring not original.

I really liked it. 8/10

Some important mistakes here and there, but overall good.
6 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
CONTAINS MANY SPOILERS, BE WARNED.

It's the Wolverine, with it's proper actor, Hugh Jackman. You can't hate that.

The movie has the important factors like how Logan got the adamantium, Logans relationship to his brother and a girl but I am mostly here to point out what disturbed me. In order to explain some of this you would have to had seen the latest Wolverine movie The Wolverine (2013)

This entire movie is based on that Logan saved a Japanese soldier in Horishima back in WW2. right? And frankly, I enjoyed that movie very much. But Logan looses his memory in the last scenes of THIS movie. So how can he remember anything from WW2 (60-70 years before?) I may have overseen something, but in general this is an unforgivable movie mistake. It doesn't add up.

The second thing is that how the f u c k is Charles Xavier able to walk in that single scene where he appears? I've seen the X-men movie where Charles lost his ability to walk, so how come he is suddenly walking again? (and please notice the terrible green screen moment where the young mutant captives are running towards the chopper)

Cage at his best
21 June 2015
This movie features Cage in a "Morgan Freeman POV" You know, like in Shawshank Redemption where he narrates the movie while being in it himself. Great tool.

As Cage says early in the movie; This isn't about twisting the truth to something that makes him the good guy. This is a movie that illustrates what might be something not so far from the actual truth of arms dealing.

There isn't really a plot, but more like a story about a mans life, and how he ends up in the business of arms dealing. I really recommend it. 9/10

I'll make this short: 10/10 *MUST WATCH*
10 June 2015
This movie starts kinda slow, but hang in there. It escalates throughout the whole movie.

Some parts of the movie is I believe too complicated for some(Including myself) So it had me confused, but you'll get the big picture, trust me. The ending had me sitting with a feeling I could feel in my whole body. This movie was excellent. Even though you may not be into sci-fi you still have to watch it

A masterpiece by Nolan without a doubt. I did not have any expectations when I started to watch it but it had me stunned. WOW.

PLEASE, WATCH THIS MOVIE, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

Worth Watching
6 May 2015
I've never seen Twilight, so I don't really have any relationship to Kirsten Steward, but this movie didn't give me a bad impression of her at all. The movie is pretty straight forward. No complications.

I'm left with the thought that the maker of the movie might want to send us a message. Perhaps that not all of those kept at 'Gitmo' are in fact terrorists. With USA's paranoia I think it's safe to say that the terrorist card sometimes is handed out a bit too easy. Especially since the inmates of 'gitmo' are put there without a trial.

Conclusion: It's absolutely watchable, no wow factors but I would recommend it. 7/10

I wouldn't recommend it.

Another WWII POW movie. We've seen bunch of these before, haven't we? Well. This one doesn't really stand out. I read a horrible critic about the movie here on IMDb before watching it, but because of the general 7/10 rating of the movie I gave it a chance. But really, I'm just sitting here thinking I wasted 2 hours of a perfectly good evening watching this. I didn't really get entertained and actually fell asleep once during the movie. It's not directly horrible, but it lost me half way through the movie.

Conclusion: Do not watch this unless you are really interested in the topic.
