Divergent (2014)
Great teen movie, with good story!
I decided to watch this movie one rainy afternoon without knowing or reading about the books, with only watching trailer before decision, and boy was I surprised.
Was not bored throughout the movie at all, has good cast (Shailene Woodley is great as our heroine) the support cast is strong enough, with an ''old'' warhorse Kate Winslet, Ms. Judd, Maggie Q, and the younger cast also gave out their best, which was surprisingly good enough this time, Theo James, Miles Teller all dish out good performance, believable, for teens they portrait.
I gave this movie a 10 stars, but realistically it is a solid 8/10, but since the IMDb rating is lower, I decided to correct my score, watch the movie, you will not be disappointed. It made me actually buy the trilogy after wards to read it.
Game of Thrones (2011)
Fantasy at its finest, for adults!
To start with, I read the books once only, got into it thanks to my friend(bless him) and when I learned that TV show is being made by HBO we all cheered, since we always said it is impossible to convert this epic story into a 2 and a half hour movie.
To start the review now.
The Hand of the King Jon Arryn mysteriously died at the Capitol of the Seven Kingdoms, making King Robert Baratheon travel to the most northern region of the Seven Kingdoms to its capitol Winterfell to ask his loyal friend Eddard ''Ned'' Stark to become his next Hand of the King.
The Prologue, although not faithful enough to the book(yes i personally thought Prologue was the best part of first book) is done good enough for audience to hook it up thinking who the hell are those things.
The introduction of all the characters is done great, establishing some of relations quite well and subtle.
The Music is average, but it will not interfere with the whole show if it will be done the same as in first episode, The visual is stunning enough to suck you into show.
The characters are well acted and nailed most of the book characters and their core. There are some minor relationship changes but its very close to the book.
The newcomers will have to be patient and not give up to soon since the amount of characters and story lines might feel overwhelming but don't give up stay and a magical world of Westeros will come to life infront of your own eyes Conclusion: A Dark Fantasy world, full of realistic stories, at its best. A book in motion almost. The spirit of the story is mainly captured.
Overall Score: 9
Big Nothing (2006)
Very good movie with pretty bad ending(spoiler)
Well as my summary tells, movie is really really good actually great in its genre. Its about an exteacher Charlie who gets into a criminal business with Gus an ex con and a killing ''widow'' Josie trying to squizee 200k from reverend pervert dealing with child porn or something. Of course all goes wrong starting with a murder.
The movie will provide quite an amount of WTF(what the f**k) moments should make you smile (if not laugh) sometimes.
But what really is disturbing is the way they showed us the ending. Have to say that ending, while in rough point was OK, was delivered bad on screen. Didn't get to know what happened to Charlies wife, and we are left thinking ''hey maybe Charlie could have survived''(highly doubtfull) but anyway this movie was a great ''waste'' of time and would deserve clear 8 if it wouldn't be for a crap ending
The Break-Up (2006)
Very good and real movie
I gave it a 10 because its highly underrated here on IMDb and everywhere also. Jennifer and Vince make a great couple and while i can say being labled as romantic comedy is failure since there is no romance if we exclude the 2-3 photos from starting chronicles and him making dinner nearly at the end. There is a lot of fun stuff that will make you laugh if you got feelings on right place and understand that life is not work but joke. Vince is Vince and if you like his lines in Swingers and Old School you have to also like it here. The whole movie was something you can believe it can happen except a few minor details. While some may ask why the hell they cannot afford to go out and buy new place maybe think first and you can come up it is because there is no one selling them in middle of Chichago. The Strip Poker was a bit off the top maybe but still could happen. Maybe when he made that dinner could also be lemons in centerpiece. Nonetheless Jennifer acting was superb, really enjoyable, so you can see how some females may think and how they want from us men more appreciaton. While this was one of the first if not the only movie that actually made me feel sad for both of them. The only thing I could say about it is like ''SHOULD BE EXTENDED VERSION ON DVD with 45min extra movie for us who loved it'' and ''GIVE US SEQUEL PLEASE those who liked 1st movie would adore second probably''
