Passing Stones (2001)
Not available and hasn't been for quite some time...
...I saw this movie when it was playing on IFC. I taped it on VHS three times and have not one of those copies. ...Great movie. To sum it up; you wouldn't know what to do with it if you got it and chances are you ain't never gonna get it, and even if you do you ain't gonna have it long. ...Shot in black and white on Long Island; a story of family dysfunction and one man's effort - Hercules paper boy - to rise above it and the misguided indifference of those who mistake authority for truth. What happens when you are dealing with people who live like there is no tomorrow. The older homosexual brother, the paint huffing, mommies favorite younger brother. Ahh i give up. I am no good at this. Stoney? ... I keep looking every month or so, to see if it ever comes back.
Humoresque (1946)
Brilliant script writing...
I would really like to see this movie made again using the same script.
The acting is as good as it gets from that time period so even though the delivery is stiff; I don't believe you will find any better. To the editing i say the same. Choppy in places. Phony scenes depicting the actors riding horses and in cars. Again the same you would expect from that time period - The absolute worst in history was Mickey Rooney in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'
But I'm strained by the depth and brilliance of the script. Hardcore. Bites to the bone good. Someday we all come full circle and make the connections necessary to appreciate writing that to me exceeds anything today.
Bug (2006)
Stunning graphic of your delusion.
... People refusing to accept what is actually happening. The same thing that drives the majority. Pathological hypocrisy. You're just doing your job. "It's a living." That is as good as it is. The true unspoken truth of the ignorant false notion sublime context. barrrf...You are looking at American culture. He drags her into what he perceives as total denial of hypocrisy; not into the hypocritical normalcy the other characters represent. Whether you know or not. When someone condescends you it is very likely they are saying you are deluded; it's the abstract nature of art. you stigmatize your children telling them they are smart; instead of teaching them. if you show a child a picture of a naked woman; the child thinks nothing unless the child has been stigmatized to believe there is something wrong with looking at naked pictures. indifference is perpetual. there is only one way to deal with indifference. people seem to think indifference is intellect. If you are not indifferent to the indifferent you will get a reaction from the indifferent. By default, your transgression becomes trying to communicate with someone who thinks they were born with the ability to communicate... people that think there is something wrong with you for asking a question. It's never "what" you say to indifference. It is exclusively "how" you say it. Indifference is forcing someone to condescend you and into your ignorant hypocrisy. Whats your plan? ..... The Grey Zone (2001)
Symbolic look at todays government
When the doctor barfs near the end in response to Harvey's depraved indifference? so did i feel sick to my stomach. This movie is symbolic of your government and what goes on in the world to this day. Were it not for your hypocrisy, no one would be dieing. how do you speak of delusion? To oppose hypocrisy in the United States today is like branding yourself a Jew in 1942 Nazi Germany; like opposing industrialization in 1900. funny the odds were stacked against David Arquette, and he exceeded the challenge. Number One on my list of things a Nazi would say? You did it to yourself. "No one without a death wish would choose to resist" is symbolic of your acceptance of hypocrisy and the cost of non compliance.
so mesmerizing its scary
