It's kinda sad to think that not everyone know the difference between these two words. Before I show you the difference, I'd like to tell that this Chinese show was made by Chinese students who didn't had enough money, but through the web they got enough money to produce this animation.
Now, I'll tell the difference between "ripoff" and "Inspiration".
Ripoff is when a movie/series/documentary is BASICALLY the same as another, but with some changes to avoid copyright issues.
Meanwhile, "inspiration" is when something is based on a movie/series/documentary, but the characters and plot are VERY DIFFERENT.
Most people who hate this show just haven't seen it. The story is very good, the characters have very unique styles, and I like to give mass respect for these Chinese animators. Also, calling China a "rip-off land" is considered Xenophobia which is a crime.
The people who don't like this series but haven't seen it are ignorants. Go watch it, it's very cool!
